Friday, May 1, 2020

Good morning. And, happy May Day! πŸ’ Dance about the Maypole ... if you dare. πŸ’€ Actually, that’s not very funny, is it? Today, in much of Florida, stay at home restrictions are lifted as ‘things return to normal.’ There is no normal after COVID-19 🀷‍♀️.

... Stay safely at home 99% of May
... Wear a mask when you venture out for grocery and anytime you’re forced to be in public
... Maintain 6’ of distance between yourself and others
... Avoid eating inside restaurants; safer to pickup or have home delivery of your favorites
... Socializing with others outdoors is safer than indoors
... Wash your clothes immediately after being in public
... Enjoy friends and family through FaceTime or Zoom
... Continue Social Distancing please

Doctors and scientists have grim predictions for another wave of COVID-19 and that 70% of the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ population will have been infected before ‘herd immunity’ can knock down this plague.

Summer temperatures are always around us in Florida yet we have had nearly 34,000 REPORTED cases. (Testing has been minimal ... making me think we’ve had quadruple that number, or more.) My point here is don’t think ‘summer heat’ will beat the virus down ... it has affected the Sunshine State too!

Here’s what president trump has to say, and you know he has the best ever ideas πŸ™„

Is that you Mom? 🀣

This afternoon, we took Robbie and Belize with us for a boat ride to fish camp for Friday fish fry. Karen and Pete launched their boat today and met us there. We sat on our boats and had lunch and drinks. It was so nice to see them and catch up on news.

Racing to lunch. πŸ₯°

The Fish Camp desperately needs business. The staff was wearing facemasks and all the food came out piping hot. It was a delightful afternoon! πŸ’• After lunch, Karen & Pete went through the Dora Canal  while Mark and I took the long way around Lake Eustis to check out the construction site at downtown Ferran Park.

Fantabulous afternoon with the doggos on Lake Eustis.

At 4 o’clock, I signed on zoom with 10 of the Yaya girls. It was a yakky-fest, and you could hardly tell what story was what. But, it was fun. 🍷🍷🍷

That’s it for today. We are going to chill out and watch TV tonight.
