Sunday, November 28, 2021

Good morning. Mark is having a sleep in today while the dogs and I are Christmas shopping online. Ha. There’s nothing like going out to the shops and poking around, but this will have to do for this early in the morning. πŸŽ„

Mark filled concrete cracks on the last bit of driveway … ready to roll some stain on tomorrow! It’s looking nice!

Me? Aside from the usual household stuff, I cleaned up yesterday’s sketch and inked the main lines for painting.

Pedestrian traffic and plants … cobblestone and fluff to be added.

Cozy fire tonight … and the kids swiped my blanket. Haha.

Saturday, November 27, 2021

Good afternoon. Mark started his day out early in the woods with his friend Bob. Today, Yogi bear went by Mark while he was in his stand! It’s an exciting thing … the bear was just a few feet away.

Back at home, I cooked breakfast for the Scotties (and me), walked them down to the circle and home … then got into an art project. I hope it’ll turn out like I’m thinking. The subject … a view from a mullioned window to the shoppers downtown needed to be on a 24x36 canvas. Since I had six 12x12 canvases, I improvised.

It’ll be cool when I’m done! (I hope!) 😬

Sue and Wayne left for home first thing this morning after a successful week of house shopping! They bought a sweet home in The Villages, Spanish Springs area.  It’s a spacious 3/2 quality home with a climate controlled Sunroom, a spa, 2 car garage with a golf course and pond view!

They’ll be settled in early next year and enjoying all the amenities! Congratulations πŸ₯³πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

That’s today’s news.

Happy Thanksgiving 2021

Good morning. We were up fairly early, ready to watch the Thanksgiving day parade on TV. We have much to be thankful for!

Diane and Kris are hosting Thanksgiving dinner and Sue and Wayne are in town having just bought a home in The Villages, near Diane and Kris. It’s going to be a wonderful celebration today. Kris’ niece Cindy, husband Ed and granddaughter Hailey will be there as well.

Monday, November 22, 2021

Good evening. The kids and I are sitting on the front porch watching the sunset. There’s a beautiful rosy pink in the clouds. The cypress trees with their draping Spanish moss look enchanting. Life is pretty darn good here in Central Florida.

Mark and Wayno went to the woods this afternoon, so the kids and I took a long golf cart ride and paid for our Christmas party tickets and chatted along the way with a few friends.

Yesterday I picked up a load of eBay items from Sue, and got a couple of them listed today.

Sunday, November 21, 2021

Good morning! Gee, we’ve been up since 5 o’clock so it feels like noon at 10:30. πŸ˜‚

Sue and Wayne spent the night in Stuart in the motorhome during torrential rain. This morning, they had a problem unplugging the coach from the pedestal as it was surrounded by 2 feet of water. A bit of ingenuity solved the problem. Apparently Wayne tied a dog leash around the cord that’s plugged into the pedestal and then tied it to the rig, got in and backed up! It worked! Well now that’s an RV story that will be told and retold a few times. We will take a ride over to visit them later when they’re settled, and pick up a load of eBay things for listing.

Mark worked on the driveway project again, and it’s coming along very nicely. He got the second coat done on 1/2 of the driveway.

Nice! Much nicer!

Here’s my sweetie rehanging our sunroom ceiling fan. It had been dripping condensation on and off for quite some time. Mark took it down, and discovered the company that hung it had drilled for extra holes into the ceiling panels. Well, that just let all sorts of heat in which caused condensation. Geez, you just can’t get good help. Anyway, he fixed it, dried it all out and rehung the fan.

My Superman!

Now, Mark is repainting our main bathroom ceiling. We had a pendant light on 24 hours a day as it didn’t have a wall switch. Originally there had been a ceiling fan in the bathroom and when we remove that many years ago we hung up a light. ‘We’ finally removed it, and Mark patched the hole. He did a touchup with some leftover paint … but of course the whole ceiling needs painting. Ha ha. That’s life, isn’t it!!!

Yup … gotta repaint the bathroom!

Tonight, we met Sue and Wayne at their coach at Grand Oaks then we all went with Diane and Kris to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Sue and Wayne haven’t had a moment today, as Diane had houses for them to look at once they pulled into the campground. Dinner was good, and we all had fun.

That’s it for tonight!

Saturday, November 20, 2021

Well it 7;30 and the moon is massive tonight, low in the sky. We just got home from dinner with RanDawn at Tillie’s in downtown Eustis. Everything was good … Dawn wanted wings and that’s the best place around.

Mark worked on the driveway project for a while today, and then Wayne, LaDonna and Henley dropped over for a visit. Henley wanted to see the dogs. BeeZee  was happy to get out all her toys and put on a show for all   LOL

I wrote more Christmas cards and tidied the house! Tomorrow, Sue and Wayne arrive for Thanksgiving week. Yay.

British Columbia continues to be in the news. Vancouver, on the western edge, is now cut off from the rest of BC.

What a tragedy! It’ll be some time before things are back to normal.

Friday, November 19, 2021

Good morning y’all. It’s a cloudy start to our day. 🀨 Rain is forecast at 9 o’clock then clearing and 75F. Perhaps Mark will get our Christmas lights plugged in? Seriously, we have 2 light projectors; pretty simple compared to years ago. (My favorites are icicle lights but they’re too fragile. There was always a dead space in the string halfway through the holidays.) We bought and tossed out many strands over the years! Childhood memories are of the fabric wrapped wires and blue frosted bulbs that dad hung to the peak of our house and along the front eaves. They gave a magical glow. Dad hung a big lit Santa face just over the front door. Wish we’d taken a picture for posterity. πŸŽ…πŸΌ

While Mark was helping Bob this morning, I took a trunkload of items to the Humane Society store. They were thrilled with it … especially the paintings and the beads. While I was there of course I bought a couple of items. That’s how we help the world go round. πŸ₯°

Today’s fun was painting …

Of course Santa has a cigar! πŸ˜‚

Mark has been working on removing a light from our main bathroom. It was constantly on with no wall switch. We decided to eliminate it this year and make use of the actual chandelier in the bathroom. Today, he finished the drywall work and it is now ready for paint.

Then, we had one of the fans in the sunroom that would bring condensation into the room and drip. It didn’t happen every day, but it was pretty persistent. The entire fan had to come down, and then Mark had to insulate around the rod that went up into the ceiling panel. Hopefully, that will fix it.

Tonight, I sat on the front porch and enjoyed the wind out of the north. The dogs sat with me, but Mark had had enough of the wind and allergies today. 😒 I listened to Michael Moore discuss inflation.

Thursday, November 18, 2021

Well well well … my Blog has been missed by the Lentz. Okay, let me try to catch up. πŸ˜‚

Rick, Ruth and Carrie attempted a drive last weekend from Kelowna to Vancouver BC.  Well, with the torrential rain they had quite a trip. After several road closures and detours they were nearly to Vancouver when Rick felt the urge to head home! It was a good choice although they dodged boulders raining down on the road. Torrential rains are beating the mountains and causing infrastructure damage.

Frightening weather!!! We’re glad Rick and family are safe. Had they continued on to Vancouver, they’d still be there! All Canadian highways closed through the Rockies. Unbelievable.

Here in Central Florida, we had a light rain after our golf cart ride to check construction on a new home going up in our ‘hood. Things are status quo here … readying for the upcoming Thanksgiving festivities at Diane & Kris’

It’s pedicure night here …

Mz BeeZee in the chair getting a pedipaws. Yes, she’s just that chill. 😍

Sue and Wayne have a closing date of January14th on their south Florida home. We’re so excited to have them coming here!

That’s it for tonight. Ta ta.

Wednesday November 17, 2021

Good afternoon! I’ve been a tad sloppy on Blogging lately … forgetting to take pictures and too busy to write much. Has anyone noticed? Nope. πŸ˜‚

Mark, Wayne and Bob went hunting in the forest at 5 and I started my Christmas decorating. Diane and Kris are hosting Thanksgiving so … onto Xmas for us.

RanDawn had a great 5th Anniversary getaway in Savannah, Charleston and Daytona and even had a ghost encounter! Well that’s memorable. πŸ‘» Then Randy hurt his “good” knee walking around on the old cobblestone roads and was laid up with a baker’s cyst. Their anniversary dinner wound up being pizza delivery. πŸ˜‚

I’ve been chatting online with my cousin Bobbie Tawns about a dream/visit I had with her mom, my auntie Eileen.

That’s the old house in back of the memorial. Yeah, it’s dark and a bit creepy. Here’s the story …

Good afternoon. The RV is all packed away until after New Year’s. Now, we can concentrate on getting ready for the holidays and having fun locally.

Good morning! We left Sun Outdoors for home at 10:15 after a good time away!

We have arrived home about 1 o’clock, parked the rig, unloaded and began the chores of getting back to normal. It certainly was cool in Sarasota, and it’s nice to be back to some warm sunshine at home. Now of course there is laundry to do, tidying the rig, washing the floors and shampooing the carpet.  It’s going to be put away for a few months now so best to put it away spic and span and ready for the next adventure.

Sunday, November 14, 2021

Good morning sunshine! It was a cool 61F start to our Sarasota day. Most RVers are heading home today … so we’re planning a dinner out with LaWayno and others who aren’t.

We took Robs and Beez for a long golf cart ride through the park. It’s massive here! They enjoyed it! There were plenty of dogs walking plus we saw many friends along the way.

Saturday, November 13, 2021

Good morning. We have been so busy at the rally that I haven’t had a chance to write the blog. It’s been great fun to catch up with friends we haven’t seen, some of them since before Covid. Last night was the 70s night with a really cool band that has been together for 40 years. They were Cactus Jack and the Cadillacs! They were hundreds of people up dancing!

Sharin’ a spleef. πŸ˜‚

What a fun party! Ruck and Dee joined our table and added to the fun. Back at the RV site we sat outside with LaWayno for an hour before bed.

Thursday, November 11, 2021

Good morning sunshine! We left at 9:30 for Sarasota and GRW’s big rally. We’ll be taking over the resort with 620 rigs in attendance! Wowsa!

We arrived bt 12:30 having been stuck in traffic a few minutes for a collision cleanup. Otherwise, an uneventful drive. Mark’s eyes are still bothering him … we’ll have to get to the bottom of this issue.

There was quite an audience for backing in as we’re beside the GRW employees’ meal tent. Nevermind, it was a perfect back in! No problem today. Once we were set up Wayno drove me to pick up a golf cart and register at the hall. GRW performs ‘minor’ repairs free during the rally so Wayno had their toilet replaced. πŸ˜‚ We needed a new splitter on our cable TVs.

Tuesday, November 9, 2021

Good morning. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida! We are pulling the rig out to do a little maintenance today and ready at for a run to Sarasota. GRW has their big big big rally starting Thursday. We always have a blast and enjoy seeing our friends from other areas.

Monday, November 8, 2021

Good evening y’all … it’s been a couple of busy days and I missed writing a blog yesterday. πŸ˜…

We’ve been dealing with the usual things around home. While doing laundry I smelled “something electrical” … then the clothes dryer blew a breaker! Well, the new electrical panel we had installed professionally had a problem. 🀨 The wires going into the panel weren’t inserted far enough and shorted out. What the heck!!! Mark checked the panel and found the issue right away. Really, we’d have been better off doing it ourselves.

Ernie messed up!

I tidied my beads and art cabinets and gathered more items for donations. Mark worked on staining the driveway … it’ll be another week before it’s done. Quite a tedious job.

Sweet boy Robbie looking for a treat after getting his face washed. Both Scotties have slimmed down on the Dr. Harvey’s Paradigm program.

Awesome news for our family that Sue and Wayne had a great offer on their home and, will be moving to Central Florida in December! Yay! πŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸ€©πŸ₯³

Tonight they met with Pat and Derek for dinner.

The doggies came along as the buyers wanted into the house again.

That’s it for us for tonight. Tomorrow, we will be pulling the RV out and getting ready to have fun at a rally.

Saturday, November 6, 2021

Good morning! It’s a cloudy and cool day here after yesterday’s torrential rain. The kids are happy to walk without their rain coats blowing about.

I sold the old black recliner and footstool for $30 on FB Marketplace. Well, in all the online confusion, Pat picked it up … not David. 😳 OMG … I’m in trouble with Marketplace now! I messaged David, but he’s probably driving and will arrive here shortly! Yikes, he’s going to be mad.

Since we were hanging about waiting for people today I started Christmas decorating and discovered a topical allergy to the “snow” on my fireplace garland. Darn itchy hands now!

Half an hour later, but it was gone thanks to … OXYHIVES. it’s expensive, but it’s an over-the-counter medication that works almost immediately. It was funny when Ruth read how to use it and it said spray under your tongue. I had always sprayed it topically and it worked great. So today, I put it under my tongue and sprayed it all my hands. Bingo! Gone! πŸ˜…

Lani and Markymark invited us to Del Sol Mexico tonight for dinner to celebrate his green card.  The place was packed, service great and food excellent. We always have a good time there. This time, we were photo bombing 4 girls trying to take their selfie picture. And then, they caught us at it. It was pretty hilarious.

Back home, we uncovered the fireplace and lit the first fire of the season. It’s 55° out there tonight and windy.

Sue and Wayne went to meet friends Amy & Raymond at J. Marks in Pompano Beach for dinner. It’s apparently pretty chilly there tonight too.

RanDawn are in Savannah Georgia for a couple of nights and staying at a haunted hotel, Marshall House. There will be stories. πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘»

Friday, November 5, 2021

Good afternoon. It’s been a pretty busy day between household chores, and walking the dogs in the rain. Oh, it has been coming down in torrents.

Yup, two wagging tails!

Mark suggested we take a ride today and trade in a couple of target pistols we’re not using anymore. It sounded like a good day for it. Then, we needed cigars and rum so it was off to ABC the opposite end of town. We stopped to fuel-up and got behind a couple of slowpokes. And, the man fueled up a gas can in the back of their SUV … and his wife was sitting in the passenger seat. 😳

Finally home, it’s relax time.

Thursday, November 4, 2021

Good evening y’all … we had a busy day with the neighborhood garage sale and “sold out.” Oh we had things left but donated a few things to our neighbor’s antique shop and some goodies to our favorite charity, the Leesburg Humane Society Resale Shop. All in all, we sold $406 with our highest ticket item being under $20. Ha! That’s a lot of traffic.

Beautiful sunrise for our sale day!

After we finished up about 2 o’clock we took a drive and drop things off at the Humane Society, and then went to My Cousin Vinny’s for lunch. The wings were good and the beer icy cold. After lunch, we stopped at the Depot for more driveway paint!

Tonight, Nancy is coming over for front porch drinks and to pick up her sale purchases … Santa painting & Santa palm pod. πŸŽ…πŸΌ

That’s it for tonight!

Well, that wasn’t it for the night. Lani and Markymark saw us sitting out and came over and join the party. He got his green card today, good for 10 years. Congratulations!

Wednesday, November 3, 2021

Good morning. We were both up at 6 o’clock ready for a busy day. Good grief. How did we ever have time to work. Ha ha.

This week we are having a garage sale, on Thursday and Friday. Being that it is a community wide one, we are getting out all our stuff. Big and little things will sell, and what doesn’t will be donated. Once it’s out of the house, it’s out.

Markymark needs some help this morning installing a boatlift. It’s not going to be an easy job, and an extra pair of hands are definitely needed. So, Mark is going over there for a few hours to help out. Meanwhile, I have tons of things to do to keep me busy.

Today was always a celebration during childhood. It was Nan’s birthday … and Mom ‘n  Dad’s anniversary. We remember. πŸ₯°

Tuesday, November 2, 2021

Good evening! We’ve just picked up great smelling food at Stavros and are heading to the L’s to eat. The kids are with us … fun times tonight.

Monday, November 1, 2021

Good afternoon. Yes, we got through Halloween and onto All Saints Day … and Sue’s birthday!

Happy Birthday Sue πŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸŽ‚

It was a day of sorting and gathering items for the upcoming garage sale. It’s going to be a biggie at our house. πŸ˜‚

Ebay sucks. Well, the story goes that I sold a 3M mask to a buyer in Doral Florida, about 5 hours from here. That was mid-October. It should have been there in two days, 3 max. Well, the package is still stuck in Miami … minutes from Doral. I followed up with the post office online … Mark spoke to our local postmaster twice … apparently the post office has 30 days to get a package delivered. WTF? Anyway … ebay deemed this too long a time to deliver and gave the money back to the buyer. Hey, I sympathize. But now I’m out the merchandise which will eventually be delivered to the buyer plus refunded the purchase price and postage. 🀨

So we had a nice dinner … then a cigar on the front porch. Now it’s TV time.

Sue and Wayne had dinner at …

and it was very good!

Beautiful pictures! Happy Birthday!
