Today was our first camping weekend with Thousand Trails. Membership is $575 a year which includes one region of the United States. We chose the south east which covers from Texas east and north to Virginia. If you camp a lot, I think it’s a good bargain. But, to us it’s an even bigger bargain because we won the package! The campground was 47 miles from home, and very near to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The earliest check-in is 11 o’clock. All you have to show is your membership card and driver’s license. It’s a first come first served choice of sites. Since we intend to use the pool this weekend, we chose C18 near the pool and clubhouse.

The sites are quite generous in size and there are a lot of common areas for walking the dogs. After we got set up, we took a drive around the park.

It’s been very windy today with a front moving across the peninsula. Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to sit out and enjoy!

Randy & Dawn are going to Gator Harley today for Bikefest activities. I think Diane and Kris will be there too! With any luck, they will take some photos and share them.

Tonight, we had an RV dinner and sat outside with the kids while Mark enjoyed a cigar.
