Wow. That was a crazy-busy morning! Mark concocted a big batch of super creamy baked ziti for my YaYa’s party tomorrow night. It’s “Zsa Zsa Ziti” ... and I just have to heat and serve it. ❤️ Yup, what a great guy! The girls will be over the moon to be fussed over.

While Mark was in the kitchen I was at the counter making reservations, haha, no not for dinner but for a Thanksgiving campout at Grand Oaks Resort and Museum for 3 nights with Sue and Wayne. C’mon Rick and Ruth, jump in your rig and come south for 6 weeks! 🌴 🏊‍♀️ 🍹

Once Mark’s creations went into the oven, I whipped up my triple chocolate cake, ready for the oven as the ziti came out. Then, it was time to cook the dogs’ sweet potatoes with cinnamon and ginger. So, we were sure glad to have last nights leftovers for lunch. Tomorrow will be a fairly easy day, just tidying up and tweaking the set up. I hope I will have a good turnout and lots of fun. Karen is joining us for Yaya‘s and her husband Pete is going out with Mark and the fellows for their pub dinner. They’ll be plenty of fun for all.

Robbie’s being sweet ... Mz Bee jumped on my lap to block him. Girl power! πŸ™„

Well, we have had the TV on, concerned for our fellow Floridians in the panhandle. Right now, hurricane Michael is a category 4 with 150 mile-an-hour winds, the pressure down to 923 millibars. It’s forward speed is moving at 14 miles an hour so you know it’s going to be very devastating for that low-lying region. It was a rapidly developing storm in the Gulf of Mexico. I’m sure it has taken many folks by surprise and the death toll may be huge. 😭 The weather is so odd. Florida had not been hit with a hurricane for 14 years ... then last year we had one and this year we’ve had one.

We’re the red dots, well us and RanDawn.

There’s a lot of talk about moving to different television carriers like Hulu, Sling,  etc. I hate paying a huge cable bill each month, but it is a large part of our entertainment now that we are both home all day. So, I called Comcast and about a half an hour later had our bill reduced by $30 a month. It’s not reasonable, even with the reduction, but like we say, it is entertainment. Best thing is, there was no reduction in our services nor equipment. So that’s that ... but still an extra $360 in our pocket is better than not.

The kids had a ride on The Caddy today ... it was hot and muggy with “Michael” passing us. No complaints right here though. But Michael was the strongest hurricane to hit the US since 1969. It was a category 5! That never happened in the region it hit, ever. And yet climate change is still debated in politics, not scientifically, but in stupid-ass politics. You know, a lot of us think “we don’t need big government” but without it we have no basis for stability. We just have to think about that and guide these politics back into making sense. It’s all we’ve got folks. 🧐

Tonight, it’s fish fry, cod fillets hand made by Mark with Panko, his favorite bread crumbs. It’s a whole Lotta work for him so I hope I enjoy them and don’t find a damn bone. Right Sue? πŸ˜–
