Good day, well, here in Central Florida. Florida’s panhandle will be years recovering from Hurricane Michael! Sue sent me a link with further info which I’ll share here ... along with my comments. 🧐

Two to three degrees higher may be wrong as buoys in the Gulf registered 5 degrees higher than NORMAL for the same time period

As Hurricane Wilma came over our Pompano Beach home in 2005 it was still predicted as a Cat 2 ... but evidence in our canal and at Pompano’s airport clocked the sustained wind at 130. For years, Wilma’s intensity was never spoken of ... TIL now! Hrrmp. 😡

* So what we can take from this article is that we Floridians need to be hypervigilant when a tropical storm is forecast if we have had unusually hot weather. In the case of 2005 Hurricane Wilma, it crisscrossed over Florida’s Everglades with water over 90°. Be prepared.

Not only are Mark and I going to replace our shingle roof, but we are going to have said roof rebuilt to a higher category. The times are changing with the climate.

Here’s something else that has changed ...

Yup, it’s true. 😜

This afternoon we took the Scotties to the vet for their annual blood work and check-ups and a three-year rabies shot. Only one kitten was left at the vets, two were already adopted, a third one, not yet spayed, already spoken for. The cute male kitten with the long tail has been standoffish at the vet’s but now has someone interested in him. It’s odd, because that kitten was the friendliest with Mark and I. Anyway, Dr. Wilson was so terrific to have helped them!

Waiting for Dr. Wilson ... Robbie was 26 pounds today and Mrs. B was 22! Both are feeling so good with eating our “people food!” Dr. Wilson had a few critiques for us, but overall was thrilled with the condition of the dogs eating our home cooked diet. One of the critiques was that with the commercial grain free dog food craze one of the manufactures that uses peas and sweet potato as their main vegetable saw an uptick in dogs with heart conditions. So, we will be limiting sweet potato to once or twice a week rather than daily. Otherwise, ✅.

The last kitty wasn’t happy once he recognized me. Do you think he knows just how lucky he is there? I think he associated me with living on the street. 🤨

Sue and Wayne are off to Sage for dinner. Shorty had a vet visit for his eye checkup today. Results in a few days.

Tonight, a walk with the doggies then TV time.
