Good morning. Yes, it’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day with azaleas blooming all up and down our street. It’s in the 70s this morning, so pretty decent for Mark mixing the concrete patch on our driveway. It’s a beautification project begun. 🥰

Well … I must keep up with pool “swimming” … no aches to start the day! Mark says it’s more floating about and drinking … but, whatever, it’s great on my joints. 😂 Today’s housekeeping day so it’s lovely to start without pain.

So, when I clicked on Facebook this morning it suddenly became a very good day. Last November, 2020, news went out in the Scottish terrier world that Jack a very young Scotty was lost from a pet daycare center in Orlando. It seemed fishy to me, and a hunt pursued. Well, it was great news today as Jack has been found in Alabama!!! Here’s the story, when Jack went missing and a bit about today.

That was devastating, and a go fund me page was set up to help the owner find her Scotty.

Earlier this week I saw a posting on Facebook about a Scottish terrier found in Alabama. Although they suspected it was someone else a Scottie from 100 miles away, I noted that it could be Jack. When it turned out to be not the people who live just 100 miles away, they got a hold of Jack’s owner in Orlando. Well, it did turn out to be Jack!!!

Hallelujah. My sister Sue, who does a lot of dog rescue work, thinks Jack probably escaped from his captors and went looking for home as it happens quite often. However it happened, I am so happy for the young owner. Why the dog was in daycare was she felt it was too long of a day for Jack to be left home while she was working. She was trying to do the right thing by letting him have fun at doggy daycare. There have since been other reports of this particular dog daycare having lost dogs.

In other news, at Lake of the Woods in Ontario Canada, a property has come up for sale that allegedly belonged to John Wayne. The property has been freshened up and is now on the market. It’s a little out of our reach financially. LOL

We met Wayne and LaDonna at Tillie’s in downtown Eustis for dinner at 5 o’clock. We had a great waitress, Amber, who looked after all our wishes. The food was great! We love this place. Afterwards, we came home and sat on the front porch for cigars and some storytelling. It was a bit muggy, but all in all a fun night with the fan on.

Now, it’s time to catch up on the Olympics news.
