Good morning sunshine! It’s a gorgeous day here on the Piankatank River, Middle Peninsula of Chesapeake. I’m sure rain is predicted as it seems to be a late afternoon  daily event. The one friendly Virginian said ‘it used to rain at 3 o’clock every day in the summer ... but things have changed.’ She and her little wire-haired Chihuahua named Eddie own the site next to us. Unfortunately for us, she loaned it to a family for 10 days. She’s nice, them, nerdy.

Yesterday, on Facebook, we found out that Rosie, both Robbie and BeeZee’s mom died at age 10 of bladder cancer last September! We were shaken up and phoned Bonnie. Our Robbie had bladder stones at a year old. Apparently there’s a medication (Mitoxantrone) that slows it’s progress, sometimes for years. We need to have ultrasounds done on both our Scotties this year. After asking the owner, Rosie got it at age 8! 😭

We had a good afternoon ride around the campground on the golf cart with the kids. We sat at the beach and watched the action. It was quite a nice day in the shade.

At 4 o’clock, we went for an early seafood dinner at the lodge. It was good, and we were glad we went. Mark wanted a break from cooking.

We had another golf cart ride at sunset and took a couple of pictures. Now, the kids are settled inside and we are enjoying a fire outside. 😜
