Good evening. It’s been a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida with a high temperature of 80°. Beautiful. This morning, I worked on a painting project, getting shelves done for my art area. Now that I am totally out of the garage and giving it over to Mark and his hunting gear, I needed a little more storage for my bead working tools.

After my painting was done, we got ready for a boat ride to Sol de Mexico with Kim, Bob, Markymark and Lani. We did a cruise across Lake Eustis to the restaurant. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, nice breeze but not over nine or 10 miles an hour.

On the port side is Markymark and Lani, and on the starboard side is Bob and Kim. everyone had liquid libation.

These guys just decorated for Halloween. They are still renovating their house, but had enough time to put things out. Amazing couple!

Bob and Kim go out fishing nearly every day on their flats boat. There’s absolutely no shade, so definitely not for Mark and me. Yesterday they were on lake Harris and took a picture of a pretty cool boat house.

Cool medieval castle style boathouse!

My sweetie captain aka Camo Jesus according to Markymark. As I took this pic, from MM’s angle the massive cross at Grand Island church was directly over his hat!. πŸ˜‡ πŸ˜‚

It was such a clear day I took a picture of downtown Eustis. The water front walkways have been redone and there is plenty of shade along the waterfront.

Nice eh? We love this area!

We docked Mrs R B behind Crazy Gators and walked to Sol de Mexico for early dinner. We all ordered fajitas. They are the best in this area. Lani and Markymark had margaritas, and apparently they were strong as they had to hold each other up on the way back to the boat. LOL

As we were walking up the ramp to the restaurant, Bob spotted an Anhinga with string wrapped around it’s neck!!!. He grabbed the bird, Mark got out his knife and the fellas managed to get the string cut away from the bird’s beak. A waitress from crazy gator‘s had been trying to help the bird and said it had been like that for a week. 🀷‍♀️

The string was wrapped so tight the bird could not even drink water!

It was very calm all the way through, probably exhausted and starving.

There it is, swimming away. We watched for a few minutes and made sure it was OK. It dove down several times just to drink water. On the way back from the restaurant we saw it sitting on the shore drying it’s wings!. It certainly is skinny, but I think it will make it. Good job guys! ❤️

Today is twenty years since dad passed. We had a toast to his memory. 😒

I think of you every day Dad, cheers to the good times we shared. ❤️

Back home, the dogs were happy to see us as it was dinner time. That’s it for today. It’s TV time. And we brought home enough leftovers to add to omelettes in the morning.
