Good morning. While Mark and I were doing our Saturday morning housekeeping, he noticed a fire truck pull up in front of Lew and Lynn‘s house. As it turns out, Lynn had to be airlifted to Orlando hospital because she was having a stroke. Mark dropped what he was doing and drove Lew to the hospital. At this point, we have no other details. 😒

Sue and Wayne continue to work on dog rescue in the Miami – Dade area. As Sue described it, Miami-Dade is a third world country and the Humane Society is overrun with dogs. (Not many people know to spay and neuter.) Wayne went at 10 o’clock to pick up a German Shepherd who has been at the shelter a month. (This has become a full-time job for Sue and certainly a part-time one for Wayne.) πŸΎπŸ’•

Good news from Lew, that Lynn had the surgery and is in an NICU ... The surgery went well and the blood  clot was removed. I know nothing else at this time, but I am relieved to hear that my good friend came through the surgery. πŸ’•

Lynn is a good-natured ball of energy. We sincerely expect her to recover 100%. She is into Zumba, dance and is always busy. Come on Lynn, make us proud. ❤️

Sue and Wayne have another adopted dog to add to their good deed credits. The poor girl sat a month waiting for adoption, and the major of problems seem to be an inability to follow rules at the Miami Dade shelter. I do hope that Susan and Wayne have connections to remedy this problem. After all, they know the mayor, Philip Levine.  Mr. Levine definitely has our vote already, so let’s see how he does on animal rights issues.

Sweet babe with her new owner. πŸΎπŸ’• Thank you dear sir and good luck with your new family member. πŸ€

After we heard the better news about Lynn, Mark and I poured a glass of wine and walked over with a beer for our neighbor Marky – Mark. He had rented a trash pump and was emptying the pool. Now this has to be done very carefully in Florida as our water table is quite high. Pools have been known to pop out of the ground when emptied.

Hauling out petrified wood ... but my Mark never put his wine glass down. πŸ€ͺ

Wine:30 ... and we brought a beer for Marky-Mark.

Back home, we fed the doggies then made a pizza for ourselves. We had planned to maybe go out tonight, but just weren’t in the mood after today’s events. Never mind, Robbie and BeeZee were happy to have us home.

Sue and Wayne have gone dancing tonight at the starlight ballroom. Randy and Dawn are busy with Leesburg bike festival.
