Good morning. We were both up very early when Mz BeeZee had to go outside at 3:45 ... Robbie went too; so we were all awake. After some coffee, I went back to bed and Mark watched some fight shows. Daylight savings time is still messing with us. I got up the 2nd time at 8:45, fed the dogs and it was 10 o’clock before Mark walked across the street to help Marky Mark on his dock project. The house has come along way in less than a year! The landscaping looks very good, efficiency and the lodge are all cleaned up and habitable, the greenhouse looks brand new, the pool is sparkling clean although it needs a remarcite and the main house needs a new roof before painting begins there. Did I mention that a new house is going up on our street, right next to the blue house. Actually, it’s the lot that Mark and I looked at nearly 20 years ago.

That’s actually a funny story. You see, Mark and I had mom and dad at Epcot the day before and we 4 were with a realtor looking at waterfront lots in the area. That particular lot, next to the blue house, was the lot Mark and I looked at. As Mark and I were walking the lot, the realtor, with mom and dad in the backseat, drove down the street to turn around in the cul-de-sac. That was how my dad spotted the for sale sign on the house! As the realtor picked us up, it was starting to rain. Dad was so excited about the little house for sale on the street that we asked her to look up the price. Do you make a very long story short, that was how we ended up buying this house. Dad said right from the get go, that’s the place you should buy ... you can gradually fix it up and enjoy it right away. With a lot, you’re paying on it with no reward. What would you do, just drive up and look at the lot and pay to stay somewhere else?  It wouldn’t make sense! (And so, dad was right.)

I had an afternoon of R&R going to dollar tree and hobby lobby. I found absolutely everything I was looking for. It was a great retail therapy day. After lunch, I took Robbie and BeeZee for a long golf cart ride to return a book to a friend. When I got back, I parked the golf cart at Marky marks as it felt like rain. Mark was home already and said there was no chance of rain in our area. It’s a good thing I left the cart under Marky Mark’s carport as sure enough, an hour later, it poured. Ha ha. I could feel it in the air.

Tonight, we are doing pizzas and hanging out at home. Tomorrow’s a big day, being Saint Patrick’s day! 🍀
