April 25th, 2026

Good morning from sunny Florida! Wyatt and I are just back from our first walk of the day. It’s 65F heading to 85 later. The weather has been beautiful this month.

Last evening Mark cooked up a storm … roast beef, gravy, potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. We had two couples over who we’ve gotten to know. It was a good time. Debbie’s going to teach me MahJong and I’ll be a “fill-in” on their team when someone’s away! Perfect. Mark enjoyed the guys company while cooking.

We’ve been into Tai Chi for a couple months and have found it fun and beneficial. Our balance is better and my breathing has improved. The instructor is a bit comical and plays a variety of music, sometimes a bit loud  🤣

Last weekend was the neighborhood spring garage sale. This time we were buyers rather than sellers. It was fun going around on our spiffy golf cart and stopping here ‘n there.

The hand carved wooden bongo drummer was my favorite find! The Kennedy bank was a good find which we gave to Nancy!

(Wyatt interrupted … “I am hungry and daddy didn’t cook me anything!

Me … well you didn’t want what mumsa cooked for you! You’re a fuss-pot Mr. Wy.)

The weather vane we found now occupies a space on the high high living room ledge. We met more neighbors in our cruising the garage sales!

Mark is back from the woods …

That’s a big bobcat he saw today!

That’s it for now. Ta ta

Happy Easter

We’re wishing you and yours, a Happy Easter.

We had no particular Easter plans today and needed just a quiet day of reflection. I think we’re still reeling over the loss of our Queen Bee. We took Wyatt for a long golf cart ride today. He really gets excited with all the sights and sounds. We think he’s doing well and is adjusting to being an only dog. We’re doting on him and doing two big walks a day. Also, more attention and games with him.

Thank you all for the kind messages and beautiful cards regarding the loss of our girl. Much appreciated. 🐾❤️

Last evening we met with Randy, Dawn and her mom, Jan at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. They came back to our house for a visit afterwards.  It was a really nice evening with lots of laughter. Jan had some funny stories that apparently Dawn didn’t know about.  That made them even funnier!!!

Mark and I have been going through the motions keeping up with social events and tai chi at our community center. Marshall and Nan are fun instructors.

We hope to get to know them better.

Mark’s been working diligently replacing plants we lost to extreme (history making) freeze in February!

We added a Hong Kong orchid tree, a Magnolia tree and four Japonica Camelia bushes plus rose bushes and red Pentas. We are sure hoping that the Eureka Palms we planted around the dog fenced area come back. We lost them right down to the ground.

Well, that’s it for today. And thank you Aurelia for the Easter call today.
