Early this morning Mark went to the woods to set up his deer hunting stand for archery season. He came home about 1030 hot and tired. (I know Rick M is itching to get out there with Mark!) It’s always hot for archery season but usually is quite cool come November’s gun season. We hope it cools down over the weekend!
Today was our Harbor Shores ladies lunch at Angelo’s restaurant. The food was very good, service great and we all had a very good time. There are still several people out of town but we had a good turnout! (Yes, I’m the one having THE MOST fun. ๐
It was a noisy group today! Angelo’s is known for big, delicious garlic rolls and they were pretty darn good today! I brought broccoli home for the dogs and a garlic roll for Mark!
Sue and Wayne have made it back to Florida and are staying in Fort Pierce tonight. Tomorrow they will unload and drive the rest of the way home.
This evening, date night, we are picking up Rose & Jim and had planned to go to the Quarterdeck for dinner. However, at lunch I learned at the Quarterdeck had closed permanently. So, Plan B is to go to thePickle Barrel for drinks to check it out and see if it’s worthy of staying for dinner.
Well, the drinks were good at the Pickle Barrel, but we headed to Hurricanes for dinner where we had good food, lots of laughs and then back to Rose and Jim‘s for drinks.
BTW ... Here’s Trump’s quote on Hurricane Florence ... “this is a tough Hurricane, one the wettest we’ve ever seen the from the standpoint of water ๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
So, that’s it for tonight. Ta!
