Good morning. We were both up very early when Mz BeeZee had to go outside at 3:45 ... Robbie went too; so we were all awake. After some coffee, I went back to bed and Mark watched some fight shows. Daylight savings time is still messing with us. I got up the 2nd time at 8:45, fed the dogs and it was 10 o’clock before Mark walked across the street to help Marky Mark on his dock project. The house has come along way in less than a year! The landscaping looks very good, efficiency and the lodge are all cleaned up and habitable, the greenhouse looks brand new, the pool is sparkling clean although it needs a remarcite and the main house needs a new roof before painting begins there. Did I mention that a new house is going up on our street, right next to the blue house. Actually, it’s the lot that Mark and I looked at nearly 20 years ago.

That’s actually a funny story. You see, Mark and I had mom and dad at Epcot the day before and we 4 were with a realtor looking at waterfront lots in the area. That particular lot, next to the blue house, was the lot Mark and I looked at. As Mark and I were walking the lot, the realtor, with mom and dad in the backseat, drove down the street to turn around in the cul-de-sac. That was how my dad spotted the for sale sign on the house! As the realtor picked us up, it was starting to rain. Dad was so excited about the little house for sale on the street that we asked her to look up the price. Do you make a very long story short, that was how we ended up buying this house. Dad said right from the get go, that’s the place you should buy ... you can gradually fix it up and enjoy it right away. With a lot, you’re paying on it with no reward. What would you do, just drive up and look at the lot and pay to stay somewhere else?  It wouldn’t make sense! (And so, dad was right.)

I had an afternoon of R&R going to dollar tree and hobby lobby. I found absolutely everything I was looking for. It was a great retail therapy day. After lunch, I took Robbie and BeeZee for a long golf cart ride to return a book to a friend. When I got back, I parked the golf cart at Marky marks as it felt like rain. Mark was home already and said there was no chance of rain in our area. It’s a good thing I left the cart under Marky Mark’s carport as sure enough, an hour later, it poured. Ha ha. I could feel it in the air.

Tonight, we are doing pizzas and hanging out at home. Tomorrow’s a big day, being Saint Patrick’s day! πŸ€

Friday, March 15, 2019

Good afternoon. It’s been a busy morning here as Friday is generally household duties day ... on steroids. Mark is working with Marky-Mark on his dock today, so household chores fall squarely to me.

When we put on GMA this morning there was a St. Patrick’s Day parade complete with bagpipes and bands. It seems like it was just Valentine’s Day last week! Anyway, once I am done my chores I shall get out the green hats and get ready for a fun weekend.

Oh yeah, we can do this! 😜

Sue phoned, making plans for our Boynton Beach Rendezvous later this month. Sue is denying her Irish DNA and opting not to celebrate with the yacht club friends. Hrummp. Us ... oh hell yeah we’ll celebrate! Mark bought a new plaid hat and I’ll wear my favorite.  πŸ€

Tonight, we were waiting for the rocket πŸš€ launch from Cape Canaveral ... but it was delayed. So, we loaded up the dogs in the Caddy and I jumped into the driver seat. Sometimes, the wee vehicle doesn’t start out smoothly and other times it does. Mark got in with an overly full glass of wine and was treated to a wine shower as I started up the driveway. I thought it was hilarious, but him, not so much. He went into the house to change his shorts and while I was waiting, waiting and waiting, Marky-Mark walked over and jumped in the passenger seat. By this time, Mark preferred to sit quietly on the porch with his wine while Marky Mark and I took a tour of the neighborhood with Robbie and BeeZee. When we got back 10 minutes later, Mark said that the launch had been delayed for at least an hour. By the time it went off, we were entranced in a TV show and had forgotten all about the launch.

Good morning sunshine. Spring is on the way ... but a bomb cyclone is causing havoc over much of the USA this week. (A bomb cyclone is basically a winter hurricane, and this storm has a pressure that's equivalent to a Category 2 hurricane.)

On a lighter note, our friend Jim is getting home from hospital in Fort Lauderdale today. He had a triple bypass a week ago and we’re delighted that he will be back in the neighborhood. Rose must’ve gone out of her mind spending 20 hours a day at the hospital. Maybe the guys will drop in to see him tonight, but will check first with Rose. πŸ‘πŸ»

We had a fabulous time on the boat last night. Wind and waves, absolutely my favorite. However, I seem a little froggy today with allergies. So, Mark took the kids for a ride on The Caddy rather than me. I will be outside enough later on today at Lynn’s YaYa’s. Because we have a spiller in the group, no one wants to host the parties around carpeting. Oh yeah, she’s prolific at it. And it’s not just spilling a drop or two, she knocks her whole bloody glass over every time we get together. 🀨 I suspect we will have to have an intervention and buy her a sippy cup! πŸ˜‚

I heard that Sue and Greg we’re going bowling soon. I’d sure like to get our group going again. It’s an exercise I can do without pain. I’m going to try riding my bicycle again, but I am worried about falling. That’s one thing they don’t tell you when you get both knees replaced. It’s a major component in your body’s balance system. Anyway, today is an indoor day for me, so I’m working on some jewelry making.

Mark is taking it easy, and I saw he had the ice pack on his right hand. Usually that means he’s been using some type of impact tool and has flared up his arthritis. Gettin’ old ain’t for sissies. 😜

Lynn hosted a good YaYa’s on the lanai. The weather was perfect ... 12 of us had a fun time. She had a quiz for National Women’s month ... but I needec a Canadian version. 🀨 Anyway, Pat and I had fun guessing!

The guys went to Tillie’s for their evening. When I came home, three of them were on the front porch enjoying cigars and nightcaps. It was a great evening!

Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Hey, it’s 8:20 and we’re home from Palm Gardens via Mrs R B.  Marky-Mark joined us with his date, Jake, age 20, (he’ll be 21 on April 1st.)

Dinner was delicious ... rib-eye steaks, poratoes and green beans! Yup, ol’ Jake had his own order!

The wind was 15MPH from the east ... choppy but no problem.

We all had a blast. It was a perfect evening. ❤️

Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Hey, it’s 8:20 in the evening and I’m just starting this Blog!

First ... Happy Birthday Scott 🍻 πŸŽ‚  ... our best wishes for a great year!

It was a fun-filled afternoon at Nancy’s for game day. There were 10 of us with Two games going ... Phase 10, a card game, and Rummicube, a tile one. Nancy had made a chicken salad, fresh fruits, cheese, crackers and cheese cake. After a glass or two of wine the noise level was up! πŸ€ͺ We sure had fun!

Another lakefront home came on the market this week in our community. I tried to look it up on-line but “nada.” Nancy said it’s priced at $409K ... it looks to be in very good condition ... a 3/2 with 2 car garage.

Mark took it easy today, he said, but washed the RVport. It looks much better! πŸ’• Thank you sweetie! We sure need a new roof ... but we’re back to square one with the lawsuit. We reachec a settlement with Progressive on January 31st ... but despite our attorney’s efforts, they haven’t paid up yet. So, it’s time to go to trial. 🀨 That sucks.

Tonight we sat on the front porch with the doggies. It was sure nice and quiet. Mark had a good cigar and whiskey πŸ₯ƒ. Me? Water ... I had wine earlier. 😜

Monday, March 11, 2019

Good morning. I got up full of piss and vinegar and decided to bake some dog cookies. I looked at a few recipes online and combined what I had on hand and wrote up a new recipe. The kids like them!

So, that was my morning. It took a while, but when I make them again I’ll get out the mixer and it will be twice as fast.

Mark is finishing up his backyard Chattahoochee stone cleanse project. It looks so much cleaner out there getting rid of all the organic material from the palm  tree droppings.

Me? It’s back to creating things for eBay. The long necklaces are selling right now ...

We have no plans today just puttering about enjoying our retired lifestyle.

Instead of silly news we watched America’s Funniest Videos while sipping wine. Well that made the goofy show even funnier. 🀣 Ta ta til tomorrow. πŸ’€

Sunday, March 10, 2019

Good afternoon. Yes, we switched our clocks and have lost an hour today. Mark has gone to help Marky Mark lay more decking while I am deep cleaning the sunroom shelves. This means being on a ladder with the vacuum cleaner. Yeah, it’s not advisable, but it has to be done.

Randy & Dawn are meeting us for Mexican food later on. It’ll be another fun day Sunday! 🍸 πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ 🌡 (She works til 5ish.) The restaurant was busy but we got right in ... a nice booth. Our waitress hadn’t heard of a dirty Martini so I wound up with a weak gin and tonic. Blah. Otherwise, dinner was good ... and we always have fun together. πŸ₯°

Now American Idol is on ... we’re having a nightcap. 😜
