Sunday, September 15, 2019

Good morning y’all. Robbie and BeeZee acted weird when I took them outback at 6:30. We may have had a visitor in the wee hours! A raccoon? A bear? (Mark checked the camera ... nothing! That’s weird.

This morning was more sewing. It’s a big project; many pieces to the puzzle. My new tall ironing board is great and much sturdier than the old one! Mark took the wobbly one to Marky-Mark’s to put tools on.

Sue and Wayne arrived home about 1 o’clock. The SUV was loaded up like the Clampett‘s ... I said they would need a larger one with four dogs now! πŸ˜‚

We’ve been invited to Larry‘s for ribs this evening. He has a lady-friend joining us too. Nice.

Nice dinner of ribs, salt potatoes and corn ... and Key Lime pie. And wine, lots of wine! And beer, a plethora of 🍻.

Saturday, September 14, 2019

Good afternoon! We were “the cleaning crew” today. 😜 It’s always nice when it’s done, but OMG we both have sore backs after that. πŸ™„

Sue and Wayne checked in on Diane and Kris this morning. They were having breakfast ... so they’re managing after the surgery duet. There’s big news on the K front ... two little Shih Tzus females are joining the clan! That’ll keep them busy! Lottery winners are a mom and daughter doggies, Mimi and Chiki. πŸΎπŸ’•

Randy & Dawn called about 2 o’clock to see if we could meet for dinner tonight. We met at Mexico Del Sol in downtown Eustis ... it wasn’t up to par tonight; maybe a different cook tonight? We invited them back to the house but Dawn thought they should lay low tonight since she’d been sick earlier this week.

Back home, Mark, the dogs and I sat on the front porch. It was lovely, 78 and breezy. Tomorrow, we’re invited to dinner at friend Larry’s. πŸ‘πŸ»

Friday, September 13, 2019

Good morning. Mark was up early and off to the woods with his new friend Bob. Me? I was up early, did the chores and began sewing.

Did you realize today is Friday the 13th ... AND a full moon? The cuckoo crazies will be out tonight. 🌝 (There won’t be another combo until August 2049!)

Sue and Wayne are arriving in Florida late today. It’s a long story, but they are driving a “loaner Prevost.”
Their’s wasn’t ready earlier in the week. So, they were given one to drive to Stuart and their’s will be sent along when it’s ready. 🀷‍♀️

Randy & Dawn had a change of plans too. They were going on a Bahamas cruise, but with a rough ocean and Dawn’s upset stomach they canceled.

So we took a drive this evening and met Wayne and Sue around I 75 and the turnpike. We ate some Zaxby‘s chicken and drink wine and caught up on our summer events. Tomorrow, they’re off for home.

Thursday, September 12, 2019

Hey, it’s been a nice easy day, mostly. Mark cleaned M M’s pool this morning while I tidied up and began the sewing project! (My old wobbly ironing board is going to be replaced, finally.) I ordered one that raises to 38” high ... much easier to use for us taller folks. 😜

So JUSTIFY didn’t win the Triple Crown legally! What’s going to happen? Mark will be seeing Ken tonight ... he’ll have the scoop. Ken and Pat are race fans!

Tonight is Yaya’s  ... at Deenna’s. She served ham, potatoes and green beans with almonds plus desserts. πŸ‘πŸ» After dinner we played “Things” ... with hilarious consequences. It was a great evening.

Mark had dinner at Tillie’s with Jim, Ken, Jack and Dick. They had a great night too! Dick and Carol were RVing in North Carolina last week.

Mark talked to Randy and apparently Dawn has been sick with the flu. So, they canceled the cruise. We’re sorry to hear that, but will be happy to spend time with them this weekend.

40 MPH winds and rain ... here we go again!

The funniest democrat debate is Joe Biden avoiding Bernie’s hand.

Haha.

Wednesday, September 11, 2019

On this September 11th we mark the 18th year since the 9-11 attacks. The world we live in was shaped by America’s response to this attack; the first attack on American soil in 200 years.

An indepth article on this can be found at www.theconversation.com

Sue and Wayne are on the way to Liberty for their coach. Let’s hope all is well with the new improvements and they’ll be on their way south again.

Kris called this morning ... Diane had a rough night with pain! He’s off for his hand surgery at 11 o’clock today. Who’s on first at their house? πŸ€”

Rick M shared this crazy cool trick!

Awesome eh?

Mark and I finished up the RV cleanup and got it parked in the port. ✅  I began my pattern making for the RV Living Room curtains! Cool ... more sewing. Lots of sewing. 😜

Tuesday, September 10, 2019

Good afternoon. Mark busied himself around the house today while I sat with Diane as Kris ran errands! Di had surgery yesterday on several disks. She’s doing very well considering it was just yesterday! We had fun watching ‘Orange is the new black.’ I’m hooked! Now we’re going to need Netflix! πŸ˜„ Tomorrow, Kris has carpal tunnel surgery on his right hand! They’re tough; they’ll get through this.

Tonight we’re meeting friends for dinner at C J’s Seafood in Eustis.

L-R Dawn, Ladonna, moi, Karen, Petey, Mark, Wayne, Randy. Dinner was good ... the evening was GREAT! What a fun bunch.

Meanwhile, in Woodstock, Wayne and Raymond shared chef duties in the kitchen.

Nice crib. 😜

Tomorrow, it’s back to tidying the RV and putting it to bed.

Monday 9 - 9 - 19

We were on the road at 9 for our trip home! It’s been a nice time in St. Pete/Madeira Beach area. Our friends pulled out within 30 minutes of us. We were safely home before noon.

Sue and Wayne dropped their rig off with Liberty for some modification and are visiting friends in Illinois for a couple of days. Nice! There’s nothing to hurry home too, it’s still very hot in Florida after the hurricane went through!

This afternoon was spent catching up on the laundry while Mark washed the love bugs off the front of the rig. There weren’t many, but they had to be washed off. When we were at the campground we were under a live oak tree that dripped at night. While we were sitting out in the evenings we would get what felt like tiny drops of rain here and there. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was coming from the tree. Have you ever experienced such a thing? Mark said it left spots on the truck and one side of the rig that was under the canopy. Our friend LaDonna said it was a good thing it was dark since we all had spots on us. Ha ha ha ha.

Last night, Randy and Dawn met with the family at Stavros for dinner. They obviously had a good time, and we are sorry we missed it.

Great picture ... everyone looks good! πŸ’•

Diane had an out-patient surgery today, and Kris has one on Wednesday. They are certainly going through a period of doctor visits. Feel better guys! We love you!
