Good afternoon 🌞. We were busy this morning catching up on laundry for our upcoming RV fun. Mark took a ride to the Home Depot for some TREX “wood.”  We are finally going to put down some permanent planks into the RV port. There’s one section where the carport is sloped for drainage and the RV obviously tilts towards the post. It makes it very tricky getting it in and we always have to pause to set the planks. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜œ

Mark has a chiropractor appointment this afternoon so he’ll be all tuned up for the weekend.

Lake Eustis at sunset. Pretty!

RanDawn are coming for happy hour at 4:30 before we go to Tillie’s in downtown Eustis for dinner.

We had such a fun night with Randy and Dawn. Dinner was fantastic at Tillie’s ... I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was second to none, Mark had wings, Randy had a Cobb salad and Dawn had a big burger. We had so much fun when we were all finished, Dawn ordered another round. Ha ha ha, have we taught her well? 😜

Back home, Mark hooked up the RV while I watched as he backed up into the RV port. We’re all loaded and ready for our trip tomorrow. It should be somewhere around 230 miles.

Ta Ta til tomorrow. ❤️

Hey there! What’s up in your world? We watched a bit of news coverage on the summit in Singapore last night. (Hope it goes more smoothly than the G7 in Quebec!)

Trump tantrum .... hahaha. Let us all remember, no man is an island 🌴

How did we Americans get into this mess?

Oh yeah, and there’s an investigation into Russian interference. And, let’s not forget the electoral college debate! πŸ™„

Well Trump made inroads with the Korean peninsula issue but can “we” trust Kim Jung Un? There were many firsts ... and this may be the starting point of new diplomacy. Fingers crossed 🀞

Time will tell.

On a smaller note, I baked 24 lemon supreme cupcakes this morning for our upcoming potluck dinner with the GRW group. Our last name corresponded to bringing a dessert starting with the letter “L.”  Cool eh?

Game day was fun ... 2 tables of Rummicube, lots of food, wine and laughs. Deenna is a good hostess.

When I got home it was time to vacuum the RV and begin loading up. Mark had the tires ready and bearings greased. πŸ‘πŸ» Tomorrow we’ll load some food and drinks.

Randy was busy today. One of his lawn mowers was done at the repair shop so he picked it up on the way home from golfing. He got the grass cut too!

Sue and Wayne are off to Dawn Fraser’s home for dinner. Busy busy.

It’s good TV tonight ... Deadliest Catch and Below Deck; two favorites.

Robbie and BeeZee have settled in with some chew bones while we watch the news.

Good morning! We have to get our voices “tuned up” (and turned up) for Shay’s birthday! We’ll phone her early ...

Well, it’s now 1 o’clock and we spoke to Shay. She and Roddy have been looking after their grandson Aaron for a whole week. They had just dropped him off and were on their way to visit her mother. Sounds like she’s had a pretty busy birthday.

And here we are, sitting at the O’Reillys in Eustis. Mark started the Dodge to pull the RV out and the batteries were dead., So we looked at our records and sure enough we put on about 50,000 miles since we replaced the batteries last. So, rather than fuss-fart around we’re here picking up two new batteries before our trip. Ka-Ching. πŸ’°πŸ’°

Robbie and Belize were so excited to see the RV coming out of the port. They’re ready to help us have fun! While I was working on eBay listings, BZ kept poking me. She’s very excited to see the RV again. πŸ˜‚

Well THAT was a busy day. We had happy hour on the front porch and didn’t realize it was 90F. Haha. Tomorrow we’ll get on our RV load up. Now I’M getting excited.

Good Sunday morning, sunshine 🌞! What’s up for today ... well, a dinner gathering for Makenna’s 9th complete with pressies. 🎁

While I cooked food for the kids Mark went grocery shopping. It was a big order today ... lots of bags! As I put items away I wondered at Mark buying avocados in bulk? Two in 1 bag and 6 in another. Turns out we were only charged for 2!  Score ... it’s avocado for lunch.

So I had my DNA tested and it turns out, like the guy who thought he was German turned out to be Scottish and traded in his lederhosen for a kilt, I’m not either.

Guess I’ll trade in my kilt for a Viking helmet. πŸ˜‚ My cousin Hugh Tawns in Australia has a knot on his hand (I have the same) and it’s commonly known as Viking hand.

Tonight we met Randy and Dawn at Stavros for dinner with family.

Terrific dinners and plenty of fun!

Makenna ... now 9. (We wrote “only 6 years til you’re driving!” Ha! That made Randy wince. πŸ˜‚

Karen and Pete happened into Stavros for dinner while we were there. Small town.

Back home, we’ll catch up with the news and relax. It’s been a busy weekend. Ta Ta TIL tomorrow.

Good morning! Another great sleep. πŸ™‚ What’s Up today? Well, dog haircuts, wash the car, grocery shopping and gift shopping and swimming πŸ’¦ and a golf cart ride! Whew.

Well it’s now 9 o’clock and ... the dogs got their haircuts and a gold cart ride, Mark got a haircut, we went shopping for Makenna but FORGOT to grocery shop. 😜

At 5 we went to L ‘n L’s pool for a swim and happy hour followed by a pork chop dinner.

What a handsome bloom on Angel’s Trumpet. πŸ˜‚

Meanwhile, Randy and Dawn went to dinner with Greg and Sue at Capital Grill near Galleria Mall.

Dawn and Sue

RanDawn ... it’s Dawn’s birthday month! ❤️

Oh oh ... things have gotten weird. Ha!

Nice pic of Sue and Gregg.

They had a wonderful evening out and continued the party back home. πŸ₯‚Cheers!

Friday, June 8, 2018

Good morning y’all and happy Friday. Although it doesn’t make that much difference to me nowadays with my open schedule, Friday night was always MY favorite. I felt if you “did something” on Friday the weekend felt longer. πŸ˜›

So, in keeping with that idea ... we’re picking up Karen and Pete for a trip to Tavares for dinner ‘n drinks lakeside.

But, Friday’s also housekeeping day. While I vacuumed the two big shag rugs Mark vacuumed the pool at MM’s. Thanks to a bag of rice and some hands on work our icemaker’s working again. That saved a few bucks! Whew!

Randy and Dawn saw the chiropractor that Sue recommended and (apparently) had good appointments. We have no further details at this time as there are phones go on vacation mode when they are out of town. Ha ha ha! πŸ™„

Sue and Wayne went to a party at Heather and Bruce’s. Monty and Mary were at the lake visiting. Hopefully they took some pictures.

We had a fun night with Karen and Pete. We went to Tiki West for a nice dinner, but it was noisy. Afterward, we walked over to O’Keefes for a drink and sat at the bar. Fortunately we were missing all the rain. Pete and Karen invited us into their 5th wheel for wine and to meet Lexi, their Maltese. Back home now, it’s about 10 o’clock.

Thursday, June 7, 2018

Good morning ☀️ ... I was up early to bake my triple chocolate cake for tonight’s YaYa’s. Rose is hosting. We’re inviting some newbies in the ‘hood to join us; fun times.

Mark slept in a little today while I was in the kitchen. It keeps us busy prepping food for the dogs meals. This morning I made them baked potatoes with olive oil, mixed vegetables and Mark is cooking them a big batch of turkey! They sure are excited about meal times now!

Mark’s gone to Marky-Mark‘s to load garbage cans for tomorrow’s pick up. It’s a good thing they use an automatic lifter as these are going to be some beastly heavy cans! 😳

Looking back, I thought that I had posted several pictures from the dog swimming adventure earlier this week. Apparently I didn’t, so here are a couple of fun ones! BTW The pool water tested good, and we shocked it after our swim. Hopefully that will get rid of the greenish tinge. The pool company said we have it under control, πŸ€” just need to put in FOUR bags of shock AFTER our swim and then 2 bags once a week thereafter. In other words, ignore the greenish shade 😳 the pool water πŸ’¦ is safe to swim in. 😎

Robbie had his lessons and sat in the water on the steps for an hour! BeeZee was more adventurous once she figured it all out. We had so much fun. Thank you Marky-Mark and Lani for designating this as a dog friendly pool. πŸΎπŸ’•πŸ‘πŸ»

It’s 5 o’clock and raining 🌧 like the dickens. 😜

Back home, it’s 930. I sat with Mark and Jim on the front porch enjoying the rain, conversation, cigars and whiskey πŸ₯ƒ. They had been to the Crazy Gator and sat outside for dinner. It rained hard, and cooled off nicely. Meanwhile, we girls were sitting outside at Rose’s enjoying the rain, drinks and conversation. It was a really nice evening. At Yaya‘s, there were 12 of us ... perfect fun.

Jim was happy to have some doggy time as he and Rose lost their Yorkie about a month ago to lung disease at age 16. Jazzy was missed tonight by us girls too. 😒

Sue and Wayne took a ride to get flowers today for their hanging planters.

I’m sure we’ll
get a picture once they are up and hanging around the cottage screened room.

Ta Ta TIL tomorrow. It’s hockey time! 😜
