Egad! It's nearly 8 PM and I'm just beginning the blog. Yes, it was a beautiful start to our day. Mark began early with his dock project!

About 230, Lew arrived to help Mark with the decking. Mark appreciated the help which put him behind at least an hour. LOL. Next thing you know, it was happy hour and Lynn joined us too! 🍻😜. Although Lew doesn't know anything about it, she's been cooking for his surprise party Saturday night. Apparently, it's not really easy as he keeps popping in and out of her kitchen. πŸ˜‚

Tomorrow, we will be celebrating BZ's fourth birthday with a boat ride to Palm Gardens for lunch. Yay ... chicken and french fries! Then, tomorrow night, Mark and I are going to sue Wayne's for steak barbecue at their Prevost. We will bring the salad!

I worked on making some eBay items today ... here's the seashell wreaths ...

So, that was our day. Rather abbreviated but hey, at least I am writing; right Rick? πŸ‘πŸ»❤

Wednesday, April 12, 2017

What a day! The front door's been open since 6 o'clock when the doggies and I sat on the porch listening to the birds. Lovely. (Rocky's still missing. Hopefully just because it's nesting season.)

Keeping with our nature theme ...

Mark took this awesome turtle picture yesterday afternoon ... ❤ Lake Eustis' water is so clean now compared to 17 years ago when we bought this old cottage.

Well it was a busy day ... I had bills and paperwork; still straightening out a problem with Dr S Young's office when they ordered my blood work through Quest. "Someone" wrote routine instead of medically necessary and my insurance refuses to pay! It's apparently a simple fix ... but I've been waiting for LaToya's return call for a month. Tomorrow, I'll make a personal visit. 🀑

Mark worked on his dock project and also went for MORE wood. πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’° Yikes! This is easily a $2K project. Lew came over to help unload the planks ... and then enjoyed our front porch with a couple beer. Great neighbor! Saturday is Lew's 70th birthday!

Yay me! This is the wreath I sold on eBay today ... $30 plus $15 shipping;

so started creating another seashore themed one. (I like making them as it turns out.) 😁

After dinner we took the kids for a fun ride on the GC. I asked Mark if he'd like to name it but he wasn't in any mood for that after fixing a tire on it today. So, I've named it ... "The Caddie." 🀣

Tomorrow, Sue and Wayne will be visiting Georgia Boys Fish Camp while their rig is in Jacksonville for service. Fun.

It's wine:30 now; Ta Ta. 🍷

Good morning from sunny Central Florida where it is 65° ... forecast for 80° by late afternoon.

The cakes are iced and snacks ready for my game day girls. As I was organizing this morning, I saw a Randy park across the street and trudge up the road to Mike's with golf clubs slung over his shoulder. Apparently, bronchitis is not holding him back from this gorgeous golf day. πŸ‘πŸ»

While I was hosting game day, Mark stopped in at a few golf cart places looking for a used rear seat. He got some good information from the sales people and we have a connection if we need help with repairs one day.

There were 12 of us for game day and we had a good time. Six of us played Mexican train dominoes ... 6 played Yahtzee. It was really a fun time with plenty of laughs. We missed Nancy, Sharon, Dawn today!

Tonight, Mark puttered about on the golf cart while the doggies and I "supervised" from the porch. Now it's after 8 and we're settling in for the evening.

Ta Ta.

Monday, April 10, 2017

Good morning. We were up and on the go first thing this morning. Mark wanted to get a jumpstart on his Lowe's shopping. Unfortunately, the composite wood we'd chosen last week was sold out. So, he had to go with Plan B. Egad that stuff's expensive ... $25 a 12' plank. Well, we need to finish the project ... so, get er done.

Mark couldn't find Robbie this morning! (He didn't come when Mark called.) πŸ’•πŸΎ

Tomorrow I'm hosting game day so was busy getting things organized. My hot dish is going to be Buffalo Chicken dip. It was a hit at last Saturday's barbecue! Of course there was shopping to be done at Walgreens and Winn-Dixie. Somehow, the day disappeared and it's now 430.

Randy called about 330 to say that our 630 dinner plans were delayed for about a half hour. Dawn and her mom had gone shopping! πŸ’° Poor Randy has come down with a bout of bronchitis. Upon hearing this, Mark decided to get into his work clothes and poke around at the golf cart; his new career. 😜 This is what he's working on today, the forward/reverse drive gear ...

Maybe, just maybe will get a ride tonight.

Meanwell, I baked an orange dream cake for tomorrow's game day. Except for a little vacuuming up the pieces tomorrow morning I am somewhat ready.

Shorty HotPants was at the groomer today and poor Julius was home alone! Wayne was on the sea trial which we hope went well.

I think that's it for tonight. It's going to be an early one as we are both worn out.

Sunday, April 9, 2017

Good afternoon y'all. We were both up early this morning puzzling about our golf cart woes. I got pen and paper out and went through our troubleshooting notes systematically. Curtis, a retired golf cart tech on JustAnswer.com walked us through each and every step along our learning mission. Believe me, we know every nut and bolt personally now. πŸ™„

In the end, Curtis said "K.I.S.S." ... check all the wires and cables and go through the troubleshooting AGAIN. Well, it turned out to be a corroded forward / reverse cable hookup. Good call Curtis!

Yay! Tonight we'll be cruising with the doggies again! πŸΎπŸ’• BTW ... all the lights work, er, a bit cockeyed perhaps. πŸ™„

So, it was such a perfect day that we took the kids and went on a cruise to NOWHERE.  πŸ˜ŽπŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸΎπŸ˜ŽπŸΎ

Sightseeing down a narrow canal ... One way in, one way out! Bee was helping Dad.

Mark is Mr. Popular after fixing their golf cart. πŸ‘πŸ» Aroooo

Captain Robs refused to vacate the helm; til cookies were mentioned.

So, Susan and Wayne had a busy morning taking their dogs for breakfast in the KandyKoKo. We'll see them this Friday!

Randy picked up Dawn's mom at the airport for her two week(ish) stay. We'll call tomorrow and see what's scheduled.

That was our day! Hope your Palm Sunday was great.

Saturday, April 8, 2017

Good morning. What a perfect day for our annual barbecue on the lake. It's just a tad cool with the breeze, almost that you need long sleeves. Ha ha. Amazing day!

Mark made buffalo chicken dip with scoops; and it was a hit. WOWSA! We will definitely make that again. The following are a few pictures taken with our friends and neighbors.

Carol, Rose & me
Virginia on the swing ...

Annette & Lynn with ladder golf ... (Annette golfs with the guys group weekly)

Chow down ... Art & Sharon on the right

Carol Ann, Deena, Roger & Phyllis

Rose, Robyn, Pat, Carol & Mary Claire

Meridyth & David

What a F U N afternoon.

Too bad Dawn was working today as many people asked where she and Randy were.

Sue and Wayne have gone to the Yacht Club  for dinner tonight. So, that was our Saturday in a nutshell.

Tomorrow's another day and we hope to get the golf cart moving. Ha ha. We'll see.

Good morning from sunny and cool(ish) Central Florida 😎

Our neighbor Bill's house was just listed for sale. We sure hope to get wonderful neighbors who will fit in well with the 'hood ... perhaps R 'n R?

I've had an aching hand for a couple weeks so relaxed today with Light Relief, the Jacuzzi and wine (well at 5:30!)

Meanwhile, Mark decided to work on the golf cart looking for reasons why it has such a jerky start. While checking connections, he found a battery with a loose post that had been crimped into place at some point in its history. So, he disconnected things and went for a new battery. No good deed goes unpunished! I guess he should've left the rust and dirt where it was. Ha ha

The Scotties and I were ready for a GC ride when the ding dang dong thing wouldn't start. Marky checked voltage and "stuff" ... cussed a little and tore it all apart. No, I'm not worried ... he built elevators so this "should" be a piece of cake.

Robbie can't understand WHY we're not buzzing around on the cart. Whaa waaa. 😧

I tried to help by signing onto JustAnswers and talked to Curtis, an electric cart tech. He had great suggestions but we got stuck on the "Tow/Run" switch because IT DOESN'T HAVE ONE! What now? So, by 830 we gave up as it was dark and the mosquitoes were starting to come out. Hopefully, we'll have more luck after we sleep on it tonight.

Guess that's it for tonight. 😴
