Thursday, March 7, 2019

Good morning. I woke up about 4 o’clock and came to the living room to watch a TV show for an hour. There was Mz BeeZee snuggled up on my blanket on the sofa. She’s so funny ... wouldn’t move over for me to sit with her so I had to lift blanket and Scottie and put her on my lap. What a sweetie. She is the cuddliest Scottie ever!

Today is brother-in-law Wayne‘s 37th birthday! Happy Happy Birthday ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŽŠ  ๐Ÿฅ‚  ๐Ÿพ  Enjoy your night out celebrating with friends.

Donna and Dennis W are visiting from Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ...

I hope they get in that beautiful pool ... (I miss having one, although after having a few spots zapped would have to be covered head to toe with sunproof swimwear. Alas, Redheads need shade.)

This afternoon, between chores, Mark dropped me at the mall while he went to the chiropractor. I didn’t find any bargains, but browsed around. I ran into Nancy and we exchanged information on Jim‘s surgery tomorrow. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž for a good outcome.

At happy hour this evening, Marky Mark came over with some Pringles chips and a drink. We sat outside for an hour and chatted. When Mark walked the dogs he found a cool stash waiting for the garbage. He told Marky Mark about it and next thing I knew they were off in the golf cart to go rummaging. Ha ha. They were fishing nets and two very good lawn chairs. Score!

Tonight, we’re having pizza with a nice fire as it’s going down to 50 overnight. Good stuff. Ta ta.

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Good morning. It’s a little bit chilly, by Florida standards.

Mark and I are just home from the dermatologist’s office. He was fine, but I had six spots frozen off and one cut out for biopsy. You see, it’s not all fun and games being a redhead ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿฆฐ.

Randy and Dawn are heading to the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida with friends Dan and Mary to hear Stix play. They’ll have a chance to hear Redhead Express too as they’re singing the National Anthem. Have a blast guys!

You can see who the partier is with Redhead Express last December. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Our friends Rose and Jim H. are still in Fort Lauderdale. Apparently, Jim needs triple bypass surgery which will be performed Friday. They will be in South Florida for 7 to 10 days. We feel terrible that Rose will have to stay in a hotel alone during that time.

Tuesday, March 5, 2019

Good afternoon sunshine! It’s been a gorgeous day here in Central Florida!

Yeah, that’s what happened during my birthday month! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Mark left early this morning for shopping with Marky-Mark. They needed more planks for the dock followed by browsing in a few thrift shops.

It’s coming along nicely ... another few planks are needed. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I did the sundry shopping and household chores ... it was as a rather laidback day. Tonight is going to be good TV.

Sue and Wayne are having a BBQ tonight with Canadian pals Donna & Dennis & Jim. Have a fun night ... and welcome to the Sunshine State! ๐ŸŒž

We’re concerned about our friends Rose and Jim H. They were on a Caribbean cruise with a half dozen neighbors of ours when he suffered a heart attack. I talked to Rose today as she was waiting for a flight out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jim had already been airlifted from the ship yesterday to a hospital in the Dominican Republic. Jim was airlifted to Fort Lauderdale earlier today. Tests are being done ... and we hope all will be well. (I’m sure this put a damper on the festivities for the rest of the gang!)

Rick M had a new Blog today. It’s lovely to see he and Ruth are having a great time in sunny Mexico. It’s a bargain, he says! Schweeet ... party on! ๐Ÿธ

That’s it for tonight. The Winnipeg Jets are playing Tampa Bay Lightning ... tied right now.

Monday, March 4, 2019

Good morning. Well, that was a rather unsettling night. My dinner of Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing would not digest! In fairness, we didn’t get served until about 8 o’clock, but still, I sat up until midnight making sure to use the four hour rule after eating. Yes, I am taking medication for GERD. Anyway, I couldn’t get into bed until 6 o’clock this morning! I slept a couple of hours sitting up on the sofa, but it wasn’t all that comfortable and reclining back wasn’t working for me either. So, it’s back to the old Atkins diet for me. It’s so restrictive, but it works for my body. ๐Ÿคจ Meanwhile, Mark sleeps like a baby through everything!

Since he’s going grocery shopping today anyway for a few things, I asked him to pick me up some frozen Atkins dinners so I’ve got something easy to eat.

Between the two of us, we got quite a lot done today. Mark is still working on cleaning the Chattahoochee stones in the back patio. I took the dogs for a ride on the Caddy, and then we enjoyed happy hour on the front porch. It was quite windy today, but for some reason the pollen count was a little lower than usual. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Tomorrow, we’re supposed to have another cold front moved in. There are beautiful signs of spring everywhere with flowers blooming.

The plant survived the boat house fire a few years ago.

The old Azalea will be in total bloom in a couple days.

Sunday March 3, 2019

Hey it’s already happy hour! Where did the day disappear? I was up at 6 catching up on “a million little things” that RanDawn got me watching on TV. It’s one of those that goes in reverse order. Good anyway!

Mark relocated the rascally raccoon that was a nuisance at Marky-Mark’s place. The wee rascal now has a great place near Lake Dorr in the Ocala area. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Me? Laundry and the usual household chores before working on a few decorative seashells.

Yeah yeah ... more Christmas ornaments for the Sun Room tree.

I totally relax doing these projects.

Meanwhile, Dawn phoned about 1 o’clock. She and Randy had just gotten up. Ha ha. I’ve been up for seven hours! Anyway, they’re on their way over about five or 530 for happy hour and then we’ll go out for supper. We like doing that on Sunday nights.

Robs and Beez had rawhide treats this afternoon followed by a nap ๐Ÿ’ค ... it’s a pretty laidback life here in Florida.

Fun at The Crazy Gator for dinner tonight. Marky-Mark joined us too.

Saturday, March 2, 2019

Good afternoon! We’re into relaxing today ... it was a stressfully busy week. After breakfast we 4 went for a ride on The Caddy to a garage sale. It was funny when Mark dropped me off on the home’s driveway. The Scotties thought he was driving off without me and started yapping and yelling. OMG so funny ๐Ÿ˜‚. All Mark was doing was parking them in the shade. ๐ŸŒณ So  I bought 5 hardcover books at the sale to keep in the RV for rainy day reading. They’re in very good condition. $5 ... my kind of price. We had Pam in mind poking around the house. It seemed the owner was in foreclosure and had a possible buyer on the hook. The house backed to the woods at the end of the street. The size was good but condition not. I could see water ๐Ÿ’ฆ damage on the dining room wall under the big front window. It was built in 2005 ... and nothing done to it after that.

It’s now 5:30 ... I spent a lazy day decorating seashells with a 2 hour nap in between.

Mark watched his favorite cop shows, sat on the porch with a cigar and beer ... then made a Caesar salad and cooked us the last of the Omaha burgers from Pam’s Christmas gift to us. (Yes, the steaks, chops and burgers were all delicious!)

Meanwhile, Sue and Wayne are having fun with Jim visiting from Winnipeg. They moved a boat today and had lunch at (maybe) Piranha Pat’s in Pompano Beach.

Jim, you look great! Cheers ๐Ÿฅ‚

RanDawn went to the Hideaway today to hang out with Dan.

Karen and Pete asked us to go to the Tavares annual “Trains, Planes and Auto” show. The car show goes on at the same time as $5 train rides and an airplane fly bys at dusk. It sounded fun ... but we needed a chill out day!

So that’s it in a nutshell. We’re now watching The Animal Agenda ... findings of giraffe fossils with short necks ... then with modified long necks. (That 1 change required a heart upgrade alone!) So, it’s dinner in front of the Telly with Ancient Aliens ๐Ÿ‘ฝ on. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Friday, March 1, 2019

Indeed it’s a fresh start. Raised in the north, March signaled the hope of better weather, slushy roads and spring. Here in the south it’s just another month of nice weather ... but, hey ... Welcome March! ❤️

While Mark did some cement work I cleaned house. Now we’re relaxing and watching Ancient Aliens ... Paul Hellyer and Edgar Mitchell both verify Ronald Reagan’s Star Wars was created to take UFOs ๐Ÿ›ธ on. Now Space Force is actively hunting them down. ๐Ÿ’ฅ ๐Ÿ‘ฝ I love this program! It’s so mind-bending.

Randy, Dawn, Karen and Pete came over for happy hour before we all went to the Oyster Troff for fish fry.

Ha! I think Karen is holding me up. ๐Ÿคฃ

The place was packed in ... we got 2 tables kitty-corner! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Pete looks embarrassed to be with us! ๐Ÿ˜‡

We had so much fun! The food was very good! We’ll be back!
