Good morning. I sit looking across Highway 441 at  a lovely small lake, the fog lifted just moments ago. I followed Mark to Pep Boys and dropped  Da Mounty off for a set of new boots. Mark put off buying tires for the past two years, so it was definitely time. He sure enjoys running around town in that old beast.

Guess who’s modeling tomorrow?

SUE is, that’s who! Fun stuff! πŸ‘—  πŸ‘   πŸ‘’ Of course she’s nervous ... but I’m sure she’ll be a hit.

This afternoon, Mark suggested a boat ride and we all thought it was a great idea. Robbie, BZ and I were ready in two minutes flat. Ha ha

Robbie, loving the breeze.

BZ just HAS to sit on my lap. What a character she is. πŸΎπŸ’•

We had a putt-putt cruise around Lake Eustis and came home to cook dinner. Rod and Shay phoned and we had a good half hour chat. It was a perfect afternoon, no wind and 82F. 😎 We plan to go for lunch on the boat tomorrow.

After a brief nap, I hauled both Christmas trees out (of the closet) and began my seasonal decorating. Ho Ho Ho. πŸŽ„

Good morning. Chores finished, RV cleaned and parked by 10:30 AM. Yay, we got it in the slot first crack! SWEET.

Dawn and Randy just left for Savannah Georgia. They are meeting Carol and Jack for dinner tonight. How funny that Carol and Jack happen to be in Savannah when Randy and Dawn are going to be there. I know they will have lots of fun.

Yup! They had a blast! ❤️

Finally at Sue and Wayne‘s house things are back to normal. The back paver patio and front driveway look fantastic.

Think I’d put up a ...

Hahaha! They had a quick supper at Flanigan’s tonight and found the place as busy as ever. πŸ˜‹

Here at home we’re having a quiet night catching up on TV. πŸ’€

Sunday, November 5, 2017

Good morning. We were on the road by 1140 heading home after a fun and exhausting rally.

Neighbor Todd is on monitor behind us during the Alter Eagles performance. The tables were nicely decorated ... GRW had a tribute toast to The Marines with shots for everyone served on huge trays ... Whatever you wished ... in addition to the open bar from 1 o’clock to midnight. There were a few stumblers getting on the RV transport. Haha.

We arrived home safely, unloaded and readied for an evening with Randy and Dawn. We had a wine and toasted to their first anniversary on Thursday. Dinner at Stavros was great ... the snow birds are back, the place was hopping. RanDawn are off to Savannah and Charleston to celebrate! Have a blast !!! πŸ₯‚

Back home, the dogs are happily settling into our usual routine πŸ’€

Good morning sunshine. Mark and I are in a corn hole tournament today at the pavilion. We know it will be short-lived for us, but fun to be involved. We watched them play the past two years and were in briefly last year, eliminated after the first round by Mitzie and Richard. This year, however, we made it to the second round by defeating Mitzie and Richard (haha) and lost to the tournament winners. Obviously, we did much better than last year!

Liz, Dexter, me and Mark relaxing after playing corn hole. 😜

It’s now 410 and we are ready for the next round of our day. OMG. Liz and Dexter are coming over to play a game of corn toss before cocktails at five and dinner at six. It’s still awfully hot outside, but since it was my game to play, I got to do it. LOL

Finally we got a picture of the chairman of the board, Mr. McNamara.

They are a wonderful family!

Mitzie won the golf tournament! WOWSA.

This year, during the afternoon, the three GRW offices created carnival games to raise money for the veterans. They raised $1500 (Mark and I won several prizes.) The winner of the 50-50 drawing one $1600 and donated it back to the homeless veterans.

Dinner was pork medallions ... delicious ... and the open bar flowed from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock and 5 o’clock till 11 o’clock. Some people took full advantage.

Heeheehee ...

The band, the Alter Eagles were terrific ... of course Hotel California was a favorite of mine. Great job!

The golf carts heading home along the lakefront. Fun.

Tomorrow is breakfast from 8 to 930 and then everyone starts to pack up for home. It’s been a fantastic rally!

Friday, November 3, 2017

Good afternoon! Well, Mark made it to the sit down breakfast; complete with mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Me? I was busy with nightmares ... I captured a murderer, babysat a gorilla and attended some sort of class. When the alarm sounded at 6:45 I was just settling down. Wowsa, what an interesting life I led between midnight and 6:45. 😜

I picked up Karen on the golf cart and we went to paint picture frames. It was fun ... mine will get some sea shells glued on at home. After lunch, Mark and I took the Scotties for an hour’s ride about the park.

Now it’s Island Time at The Pavilion ... tonight’s formal night ... should be interesting! (We’ve never seen the GRW owner out of jeans and a cap.)

We picked up some newbies we met at the River Ranch event, Debbie and Geri from Flagler Beach who were camped nearby. At the event we saw friends Liz and Dexter from Orlando and found a table with Mitzie and Richard from Palm Bay. Karen and George got waylaid and didn’t reach our table. πŸ™„ Dinner was excellent prime rib roast which we gobbled up.  (We ate too much!)

The band Mpire began playing at 8 and went til the wee hours. The dance floor was hopping; Sue and Wayne would love it.

We drove our friends home, declined an invite for a nightcap at their rig and headed home at 10 o’clock.

The Hunter’s Moon was so bright ... just a lovely evening. Tomorrow’s a busy one so Ta Ta and sweet dreams.

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Good morning! ☀️There’s a busy day in store if we can do it all. 😎

Site 1533A ... private ... a good spot to place the troublemakers. πŸ˜‚

After a great bacon and eggs breakfast, we went to The Pavilion and signed up for a few things ... frame class, corn hole tourney, and bought raffle tickets. Afterward we went looking at RVs on display. We found a very liveable Sanibel 5th wheel for Rick & Ruth and a nice 36’ Class A for Sue & Wayne. Actually, we found a Class C that we both liked for us, when we get too old for our big rig. πŸ™„ Then it was time take the Scotties for a 45 minute golf cart cruise. They sure love it and are so good; just fascinated with the scenery. (Our RV pals Karen & George have 2 big dogs and own a 4 seater, forward facing golf cart for their dogs. Haha; birds of a feather DO flock together. 😜

At 1:30 we went shopping for a few RV items then joined the hard partiers at the Island music (full) bar open from 1 - 3.  We met more like-minded folks over a few Jack ‘n Coke and Chardonnay. We did manage an hour’s nap before the 5 o’clock happy hour pre-dinner. No expense spared here; very nice.

Chicken Marsala dinner was very good but nothing like Randy’s!!! His is the best.

Well, it’s after 10 and we’re sitting with Robbie and BeeZee telling them about our night. GRW hired a terrific Las Vegas act for us ... Tony Pace, singer, entertainer, impersonator and incredibly energetic performer with his band of 4 musicians. He performed for 2 hours, non-stop!

Rich & wife Mitzie ... RVers, boaters, dog parents and retired young. πŸ‘πŸ»

Karen and George ... RVers, multiple property owners and 2 dog parents. πŸ‘πŸ»

We were wowed again by the entertainment quality and camaraderie of the “Giant” group. WOWSA!

Tomorrow morning is a sitdown breakfast, some are going golfing, some are doing crafts. Tomorrow night is formal night with photos and a dance! Ta Ta TIL the am.

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Good morning from sunny Central Florida! It was 64F as we left for the 2.5 hour drive to Sarasota.

Today is Sue’s birthday and we wish her the start of a wonderful year.

The Ft Lauderdale boat show has begun so Wayne will be busy there while Sue keeps an eye on the workers (day 7) laying pavers. BUT tonight it’s dinner and dancing at the Yacht Club. πŸΎπŸŽ‚

We arrived at Sarasota’s Fun N Sun resort and were set up by noon.  Golf cart #5 is snazzy compared to last year’s rental. Yahoooo. We took BeeZee and Robbie for a half hour ride around the park and found Richard and Mitzie. We’re going to relax for an hour πŸ’€ then go to the pool. 🏊

It’s HH and we met our neighbors next door, Todd and Chandra. They painted their rig themselves with Quantum 99 paint. It looks great! They tour around with the Eagles Tribute band; Todd’s the drummer. 😎

Nice eh!

Comedian Jimmy Travis was hilarious. It’s a wonderful musician and singer, but his jokes in the midst of everything had us all laughing. What a fun night and a great start to the rally! Mark did a little advertising for Jim tonight.

We had our PARTAY lights on ...

LED lights! 😎
