Good morning! How do Robbie and BeeZee know it’s Sunday? It’s the only day of the week when they want to get onto our bed! So, there we were with Robs at the foot of our bed and BeeZee sprawled across the middle. 🐾💕 A great start to our day.

Today’s fun will be dinner on the dock at Palm Gardens with Lani and Marky-Mark, Dawn and Randy and us. It’s too warm for the dogs onboard I think so they’ll hold the fort at home.

Sue and Wayne have friends Aurelia, Tony and Chessie staying in their motor home for the weekend. They’re out to Yesterday’s for breakfast now.

So RanDawn phoned at 3 o’clock having heard thunder at their home (south of us.) Mark and I checked our radar apps and thought we’d best drive to Fish Camp or Crazy Gators instead of boating. At 4 o’clock Lani and Marky-Mark arrived. We checked the radar and the storm was evaporating; common around our Harris Chain of Lakes. This storm dried up halfway across Lake Eustis. So ... the boat ride was back on!

Dawn, Randy, Marky-Mark, Lani, Mark and mostly my finger. 😂

We had a good dinner and a round of drinks. About 530 we heard a little thunder off in the distance and checked the radar. It looked like the rain would be very light but the bulk of the storm was south and was going to miss us again. We decided to wait it out and sat on the boat for 20 minutes.

That’s Dawn, the only smart one to bring a jacket! 🤔

We skirted the storm all the way home but the lightening was pretty intense!

More wine was doled out and we sped up, hugging the shore, for home base. By the time we got there, everyone was pretty wet and chilled. Maybe? I had finally cooled down. 😎 Randy said that he had had so much fun he was going straight home. Ha ha ha. Actually, they have an early doctor appointment tomorrow.

Lani is going to Orlando to see her father tomorrow. They stayed for 1 more round after checking on old doggie Jake.

Good morning. Mark and Lew have gone off tramping in the woods for a few hours on this beautiful morning. Me? I have a few things to accomplish as our new living room blinds and bedroom plantation shutters will be arriving soon. The bedroom curtains are coming down today and being washed and folded until I see what I want to do with them. What’s up at your house? Has the spring cleaning bug hit you yet?

Heeheehee ... this gal reminds me of a couple of cleaning women mom had! They were scary too!

Congratulations are in order to good looking Scottie Chief. (Mark and I babysat Chief and Hannah as wee puppies!) Well done Roger (and Bonnie.)

Aurelia called today and we firmed up plans for their visit later this month. She and Tony need a thawing out after a hellacious Canadian winter. Poor Chessie can’t get out to his yard for pottie as the snow drifts have hardened to ice. Tony hasn’t been able to use the snowblower since December because of it. Yikes! We hope they’ll have an easy drive south in their motor home.

Mark just learned aunt Jane fell and broke her hip. She’s had surgery and will be moved to a rehab facility on Wednesday. 😢 She just can’t catch a break this year! Apparently she fell out of bed during the night.

Well that’s our news for today ... hope all’s well at your home 🏡.

Good morning. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day but cold. Mark, Lew and Ben went hunting this morning. Brrr ... i’m sitting with Robbie and busy warming my lap and watching the new history channel series about the Knight Templars called Nightfall.

Last night’s Christmas party was loads of fun. Dinner was delicious, large portions of perfectly cooked roast beef and chicken marsala. The Elks had high school kids serving, and it was fun. Dancing began right after dinner with music by Alan Darcy ... always a good entertainer with a knack for getting people involved. Randy and Dawn danced their feet off! Even Mark and I got up for a couple of dances.

It was a lovely afternoon of making bracelets for my game day peeps while Mark made meatloaves for dinner. We had a roaring fire going all afternoon and actually, the house is a little too warm at the moment. Ha ha.

53F for our evening walk! Mark laughed as I had my parka on. 😮 Actually though, there was no wind, so it was lovely outside.

I think the kids enjoyed wearing their Sherpa coats!

It’s wine:30 and TV time now. Ta till tomorrow!

Good day! It's a chilly-willy 56F but oh so sunny. All week long we've had a mocking bird fighting with his reflection and tapping at our living room window. (When I open the window he/she flies off.) Mark said it was Rocky coming to visit us. In Boca Raton we rescued a baby mockingbird that some boys were throwing stones at ... only to have him die in the night. Of course it was traumatic. (We didn't know about the Sawgrass Nature Center at that time.)

Mark lit a fire about 2 o'clock and we watched Modern Family ... listened to Christmas music ... ate Caesar salad ... pork chops and sipped wine. It was a delightfully lazy afternoon! Yes, we do have some chores to do, but neither was in the mood.

Did I mention yesterday that Jill is down with a cold? We hope she recovers quickly as we're planning a boating day on Tuesday. (Our cold front is only 1 day long ... back to 75F tomorrow.)

Sue and Wayne are off to Bella Roma tonight to meet friends Pat and Derek for dinner. We haven't seen them in awhile.

Tomorrow, it's appointment day, then back to a normal Monday.  Life is GOOD.
