Good afternoon. We took the RV in to Giant this morning for  it’s annual warranty maintenance service requirements. It was all done about 1230 so Mark went to pick us up some lunch while I paid the bill. We hooked up to the rig, ate some burgers then headed on home. It’s good to get it done, and the form mailed in. This is a lifetime warranty we have, so we don’t want to mess it up by being late doing it or mailing in the form. It was one of the considerations in buying a new rig from GRW. They are the only dealer that offers this. Some RVers feel it’s too expensive to do the maintenance to keep up the warranty, but in my mind, that is maintenance that needs to be done to keep the rig in good repair.

Aurelia sent us a couple of funny pictures from the vice presidential debate a week or so ago.

I think everyone saw the flight on vice president Pence his head. But I don’t think everyone saw the next pic caption ...

Hahaha ... love it!!! RBG ... ๐Ÿ˜

Back at home, the dogs were pretty tired and went into their naps right away. We would like to have done that too but there were many things to get finished. We had left home pretty early.

Dr. Fauci has pretty much put the kibosh on our regular Thanksgiving festivities. We agree with him and must adhere to it in this strange year of 2020. I suggested to Sue we could meet at Grand Oaks, (the horse farm) and have an outdoor picnic Thanksgiving get together. Outdoors is OK with social distancing. At this point, they declined. Of course they really have just gotten home and may still be sorting out. We’ll see ... maybe it’s THE year to really switch it up! No turkey! No cranberry! Let’s enjoy a prime rib roast instead! And, those yummy potatoes cooked around the roast in a blue enameled roaster!

Do you wonder if this pandemic is meant to bring humanity into a gentler era? It’s going to be around a long time ... this was a poster from the ‘50’s

That’s it for today. ๐Ÿ˜ท  ๐Ÿงผ  ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿคš  ๐Ÿฅฐ

Good morning! Neither of us slept well last night; excited about picking up our new RV. We’ve decided to take Robbie and BeeZee with us ... so they know what’s going on! It would be awful for them to see us drive away with THEIR RV.  That was Robbie’s first home with us for 1 1/2 years in Oklahoma!

GRW was very pleased with our rig ... ✅  After the inspection, we walked over to the Brookstone and spent an hour with technician Toby learning “the buttons.” Wow, does it have components or what?!!! There’s 7 remotes ... 2 TV, 1 fireplace, 1 comfort exhaust ceiling fan, 1 radio system , a regular ceiling fan.  Ha. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ We’re going to stock up on remote batteries!

At the dealer ... deer ๐ŸฆŒ in the headlights look ๐Ÿ‘€.

Backing in our driveway was a challenge; a longer rear end ... different wheelbase, but we got it there. (It was “helpful” to have Lew, Lani and Marky-Mark there hooting and hollering. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Since we are going to Pete and Karen’s for 530, we will wait and open the slides tomorrow to begin loading. I think it’s naptime. ๐Ÿ˜ด

The weather alarm sounded ... severe t-storms here; happy we didn’t open the slides! Winds were gusting! Lew phoned that he and Lynn wanted to see the rig! Nope, not today. ๐Ÿ™„

We left home after the rain passed for Pete and Karen’s house for happy hour. Their place is really nice, still decorating left to do yet but beautiful floors and quite large rooms. Afterward, we went to Fish Camp on Lake Eustis for dinner. Dinner was good and we had lots of fun. I’m hoping they will join us for Thanksgiving at Royal Oaks. They pick up their new Cedar Creek fifth wheel on Monday.
