Good afternoon. It’s now 330 and I’m just getting a chance to start the blog. After doing today’s chores, we took a ride to the accountants to drop off my tax information. That felt good, just getting it out of the house. Ha ha. I’m sure I will get calls for verification of things, but at least it is started. We also had a return to make at the Home Depot and accomplish that on the way. Then, they were valentine cards to pick up for the girls as well as a birthday card and gift wrap for our friend Eddi. We are going to a surprise party for him on Wednesday. 

Mark got up full of ambition today and clean the canvas tops on Mrs. R B. Geez, we don’t remember when it was last cleaned. After laying in the sun drying, they look pretty darn good. 

Did we tell you our exciting news? Pam is coming to visit, arriving Valentine’s Day. Then, Markymark and Lani asked about a Beatles concert will be held in Weirsdale Florida. That will be Friday night, so we bought tickets for the three of us to join them. It’ll be loads of fun, a trip down memory lane. 

I talked to Diane today and heard she got a card from aunt Jane. Both her and Kris were so touched by it and so happy that she remembers Beau so very well. 

Isn’t that sweet! Diane and Kris were sure touched! 

After dinner, we walked the dogs and saw the rocket’s trail … still amazing to us. Had it been a night launch 🚀 I’d have posted pics.

Good afternoon y’all. It’s been a gorgeous day here with plenty of sunshine! I’ve done 2 paintings today ... the first one met with disaster ... a botched image transfer. 😂 So, I started the replacement one after lunch. It’s not as intricate, but it’s done. 

Meh, not my best, but interesting. 

Mark worked on the RV today, painting some undercarriage areas. There’s always something needing attention. Our next adventure is to south Florida and visit with family. 

This evening we’re having a bonfire ... hope it’ll be cool enough tonight.

Good evening. We seem to have had a half lazy, half busy but productive day. I got a little Christmas wrapping done, made some handmade watercolor tags and puttered a boat.

Our cottage is looking quite cute with Santa in the front porch. It’s on loan from Markymark and Lani. They don’t have a covered porch to stand him in. Markymark did do a little decorating at his place today ...

We haven’t shed many leaves this season compared to other years!

We were front porch sitting when Lani and Markymark came over for a drink and a visit. They shared their Thanksgiving dinner with our neighbor Hal last night.

Hi y’all from Central Florida where it’s 87F and overcast.  What’s up at your place?  

Well, it was a nothing sort of day. I painted, started a new one of a atrium. Mark did more puttering around in the yard and prepped a couple of palm pods for painting. There’s someone with a birthday coming up that wanted a special one.

Sue and Wayne have one more day of quarantine before they can escape. I’m sure they are looking forward to it and getting some of the boats launched.

Their pool needed a big repair which is all done! Nice! Wish it was in my backyard. 😜

This is such a nice neighborhood, we just talked to Markymark and Lani, plus our neighbor Shelby a little earlier. Tomorrow  we are going to Kim and Bob’s for drinks. Saturday, Pat and Ken have invited us over to watch the horse race and have dinner. We are social distancing, and all these people are very very careful.

On Thursday we are taking LaDonna and Wayne on the boat, just a bobbing along the lake and having sandwiches and beer for lunch. Life is pretty darn good regardless of COVID-19.

Our neighbor and friend Lynn leaves tomorrow for her camp in the mountains of New York. It will be the first time being there alone. She hopes to spend a month there which is certainly much shorter than when her and Lew went there for five months. I hope she finds it OK ... it’ll be at a bit lonely. With any luck the grandsons will come up and stay a few nights here and there.

That’s it for our news. BeeZee’s foot is still healing; hope this is the last week of bandaging.

Good morning. Well, it’s a gorgeous day here in Central Florida at 78°F ... but, rain is forecast later today. As you all know, that is A-OK with us. Randy and Dawn are on the way home from Atlanta, so we hope they get through without any slick roads.

I had planned to paint our outdoor backyard bar furniture. Mark did a little scraping on one of the barstools and discovered it is rusted nearly through and not worth painting the set. Drat. But, we don’t use it very often now so perhaps we will go with a different style of outdoor furniture. Maybe a weatherproof bench?

Randy & Dawn arrived home around 5:30 after a drive in heavy rain. They had a fantastic trip and would love to go again. We will get with them on Wednesday and hear all the stories.

Good morning ... we’re back to sunshine and the front door open! Our forecast is for 86F later. 

Mark was off to the dump with a load of tree debris from Marky-Mark’s property. Me? I painted the cement pelican that had been found at the bottom of his pool! It was pretty dirty looking, so I scrubbed it with a wire brush, sanded and primed it with Kilz ... then painted it with acrylic based on a Florida brown pelican’s coloring. 

Our dogs are still pretty tired after having an afternoon running around the pool and a swim lesson. I found another style of life preserver for them that may work better than a vest which gets too hot for them to wear continuously. Here it is ...

Great product! They come in all sizes for dogs up to 200 pounds! BeeZee and Robbie will have them for their next swim!

So we’ve been juggling pool water readings on Marky-Mark’s pool. Scott suggested we take a water sample to a pool service store and then found a Pinch-a-Penny in nearby Mt. Dora for us! Sweet. Mark and I took a drive and had the water tested. Who knew ... we needed to add a gallon of muriatic acid and follow up an hour later with 2 bags of pool shock. (It’s a 25,500 gallon pool!) In 4 days they will retest the water for free. 👍🏻 

Diane phoned when she and Kris were in the area. They’d bought bait and were on the way back to Georgia Boys. Too bad we missed seeing them but we had a good gab. 

Friday night we’ve invited (RV club friends) over for wine and cheese then to Crazy Gators for fish fry. They’re really nice people; happy to get to know them better. 

Rummy began at 7:30 ... and what a duel. 🤨 I was ahead 5 to 95 when we extended the game to 150. A few drinks, some singing along to the oldies 😝 and I think I eventually won. Ha! Mark was just happy for the game to be over so he could watch TV.  😂

There was a revelation during the game! Mark poured me a DSO halfway through and the fizzy aroma was like, wait for it ... Christmas 🎄 morning! Why? The first thing we girls ate Christmas Day was the tangerine 🍊 orange stuffed in the toe of our stocking! Finally, the addiction puzzle is solved! Ahhh, the aroma of orange. 😋
