Good evening.  We’ve had a couple busy days around here! 😂

Tuesday night we met up with Sue & Wayne at the square and had dinner at Amerikanos. Wayno and LaDonna joined the fun. The evening was beautiful. Our friend Nancy let the kids out at 6:30 and visited with them for awhile. It was so nice we didn’t have to rush. 

Today Kim and I had mani-pedi appointments. Usually it’s a quiet time to chat and relax but today was different. I had a new girl who was very chatty. We learned many cultural things and pretty much her life story. 😳 Kim said that she darned not look at me or she would have laughed. 😂 The girl did a beautiful job by the way. We I got home it was time for YaYa’s at Cheri’s! 

Mark decided to wash and clean the Kia today! It looks so fresh. 🥰 Soon the big Swim Spa project will be done and we can enjoy it. 

Our pal Rick had his knee replacement surgery yesterday! It was a long wait … but it’s done! 

It’s painful for the first week; Nurse Ruth will be busy.

Good morning! It’s just another brilliantly sunny day in Central Florida. We love the moderate seasonal changes here, well compared with South Florida. 

Today’s a busy one. Our lawn service is here roaring about with blowers and edgers; then it’s dermatologist appointments for us both; hopefully just checkups! 

Tonight we’re going out for dinner with friends and family. Nancy’s popping in for her dog fix.

Good morning, and happy May Day! 💐 Here in Central Florida, it’s just another day in paradise. Actually, we just went through four or five days of cloudy, windy, stormy weather. So, we too are glad to see May 1 when we turned the calendar.  How many of you actually use a wall calendar nowadays? We still do, but I know many use their phones we like a complete visual, but, even with that we missed our dental appointments this morning. Oh, dear, first off, we never make an appointment for a Monday morning because it’s bowling day, and, it wasn’t written down. That makes us wonder if we got a card when we left the dentist office last time usually I have the card taped on the calendar. Anyway, we are rescheduled. 

We had a few eBay sales this weekend, so Mark is off to the post office to drop them. Our new auto insurance policies start today and actually include the golf cart now. It was only $70 a year with a zero deductible for it. Since Kia‘s have been the number one stolen vehicle, most recently, we were lucky to find an insurance rate that hadn’t jacked it up for that reason. Now we have an appointment with Kia to have a update to the software to prevent theft. We hope that will be enough to stop the rise in rates when we renew in six months. That seems to be the latest thing, only insuring for six months at a time.  Whatever.   

We are pretty much ready for the screening company to begin work tomorrow.

So today’s bowling was a tough one for us. We had some very good competition, but bottom line was all four of us. Just did not meet our potential. Ha ha ha. We sucked. So tonight, we went with Nancy to Applebee’s for burgers and wine. Whine! Anyhow 🎳😂 it was a fun day!!! Now we are home to watch American Idol. 

Sue and Wayne are meeting Diane and Kris tonight for their burger night in the villages.

Good afternoon my friends and family. We TRIED to bowl with Nancy today but we were thwarted at all THREE bowling alleys! 😳

Nancy missed Friday’s practice and really wanted to go. Lakeside had a tournament; no lanes til 6:30 … AMF busy til 8:30 and the VIA mall lanes were loaded and noisy! Drat. 

It’s been wicked windy today with the last of the blog crossing Florida from the Gulf. Tomorrow will be gorgeous again!

We watched American Idol tonight, as we are big fans of Adam Lambert. I wish we could get tickets to see him in concert, but he is coming nowhere near Florida. 

That’s it for tonight. Tomorrow is May 1, and almost the unofficial start of summer in central Florida.

Good morning! While Mark grocery shopped I tended to our front porch plants and houseplants. We’re planning an indoor day with the final rain moving through later in the afternoon. 

Mark cracks me up …

I checked in with Diane … she’s had three girlfriends visiting and who stayed in one of her rentals.  Then the newest property she bought has painters and flooring installers working. Kris is supervising nowadays. 🥰

It’s a perfect evening, cloudy, breezy and just perfect for front porch sitting with cigars and wine.

Good evening y’all. Today was more of the same ol’ same ol’! Chores … and clearing the way for the screen room installers! We have our SwimSpa delivery set! Now, we need our electrician to finish up the wiring. Mark has been working to tidy the area that had become an eyesore.

This afternoon we went to “Fun Bowl” with a few of the friends we have met from our Monday league. You can win prizes for picking up particular pins during the games. It was $12 for each of us and three dollars for prize tickets. Mark won a chance to pick up three pins on a spare to win $20. He did it. 🥳$$$ … and, during play, we won another four dollars in quarters. So, we board for free today. 😂

I had my SECOND 201 game! What the heck. 

After feeding and walking the dogs, Mark and I went to Stavros for dinner. This week is the Leesburg bike gathering and the restaurant was packed. The RV park adjacent was pretty full. It’s good to see the community busy after season has passed. I hope they have good weather for the event.

Remembering Mom on the anniversary of her birthday. ❤️

RanDawn just called to tell us about their Theresa Caputo event experience. It was in Daytona Beach. It was really interesting to hear. They made a full day trip and had a blast! 

First thing this morning Mark and I painted the RVport  house wall. There was plenty of cutting in around pipes. It looks good! We’re 80% ready for the SwimSpa.
