Happy Valentine’s Day. We’ve been pretty busy today dodging rain storms, painting, having lunch with Wayne and LaDonna, enjoying a fire, then dinner, and cake. It’s now bedtime and I will write more tomorrow. Tata

Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Good afternoon. Well we had quite a lot of fun last night playing a game of marbles with Wayne and LaDonna. No, it’s not the marbles we immediately thought of, but a board game (kind of like Parcheesi) but played with a deck of cards and a board. I’ll see if I can find it online to show you a picture. Really fun. This morning Mark made his Amish breakfast casserole and LaDonna made homemade biscuits and we had a 1030 breakfast together. After that, we both did our chores and then met up in our little shed/art studio. The rain has been on and off, so this is the perfect place for us to enjoy a little outdoor art and still be out of the weather. It’s perfect.

Party of 1 ... LaDonna’s taking a break ... Mark is cooking rice for Mz Bee who has an upset G.I. tract. Back to basics for her.

After we were done painting, I set up the shed for our dinner. It was a nice big table and we needed it for all the food.

Mark grill the steaks while Waynoe did the Old Bay seafood boil. They were lobster claws, shrimp, corn, messages and potato sausages and potatoes in there. Everything was delicious. It was quite the feast.

Our dinner party set-up ... rain proof.

After all the eating, we tidied up and played a game of Aggravation ... here’s the board

LaDonna and I won the 2nd game ... lots of fun.

Sue and Wayne are helping a poor doggie recover after an emergency surgery. As you can see, Wayne is tge dog whisperer.

Mark says Wayne’s going to need a bigger chair! πŸΎπŸ’•

That’s it for today. πŸ₯°

Good afternoon. We enjoyed a fire last night till around 1030. Wayno is suffering with his shoulder surgery but manage to enjoy the evening. It was lovely sitting out and we watched the stars. Both LaDonna and I have Skyview apps so we looked at the constellations. This was the best viewing of stars I have seen in Florida. It was spectacular.

During the night Mark was woken with heavy rain, but I slept right through it. As a matter of fact, neither of us got up until 730. We tend to sleep pretty well in the RV. Today, I am painting at the kitchen table and enjoying the history channel which I do not get at home. Today is all about the battles of World War II. I can remember Sue and I telling dad that that was ‘years ago’ when he would want to tell his war stories. Obviously, we shouldn’t have been so dismissive ... I’m sure he suffered some form of PTSD. You can’t be away nearly 6 years at war and not have it affect you. The greatest generation, indeed.

Mark has gone for a hike to see the pool, the lake and check out what is around. Later today we are having dinner at Wayne and LaDonna ‘s. They are cooking ribs and Mark is doing mac & cheese to go with it.

Good morning sunshine! It’s a gorgeous sunny start to our travel day. For Valentine’s this year we’re RVing with LaDonna and Wayno at a nice RV resort. A joint dinner is planned with lobster claws, shrimp and ribeye steaks. Yum. Wayno’s doing the boil while Mark is the steak griller. We girls? Eye candy? 🀣

10:45 and enroute.

We arrived at the campsite at 12:15 and are all set up and ready for salads and pizza tonight followed by a bonfire. Unfortunately, Wayne and LaDonna are on one street over and several RVs east of us. They rented a golf cart as we’ll  be running back-and-forth quite a bit. I just wonder how organized they are at this place as there is an empty sight right next to us. Oh well, maybe it has been rented and the people just are not here yet.

Good afternoon. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida with a high in the mid 80s. What the heck is going on? The poor folks in the north are suffering with horrible weather and we are enjoying sunshine. If I could, I would send you some. Mark did the grocery shopping and I attempted to load everything into the RV. It seems we had a lot of things in there already, so it was difficult to find space. Ha ha. There were too many tin pans in there, and some got evicted.

Happy birthday wishes to our friend Ruth in Kelowna, BC. and nephew Daniel’s birthday πŸ₯³ πŸŽ‚ πŸ₯‚  πŸΎ ... best wishes for a good year.

Today, we’re watching the moving procession of Lani and Markymark’s furnishings. Tonight they’ll enjoy their first night after years of renovations. Cheers to a job well done πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

92F today

Our view ... pretty nice nowadays!

Last night I finished the art coasters project. They are kind of cute ... fun to do!

Front sides

And the back sides. Haha.

Today, we were getting the rig ready for a little side trip to grand Lake Estates with Wayne and LaDonna. It looks like nice weather for our few days of R ‘n R over Valentine’s Day. There’s nothing really planned, just a chance to get away and use the rig.

Tuesday, February 9, 2021

Good afternoon y’all. Yup, our sunshine is lovely and it’s in the upper 70’s. We were so ambitious early this morning that Mark was cleaning the bedroom carpet at 6:30. 😳 Yeah, you know there’s more to the story ...

I heard BeeZee asking to go out ... took both kids outside the backyard and stood there with them. No one did a darn thing! That’s not unusual if the stones are wet ... which they were from overnight rain. Rounding the end of the bed I stepped fully into wet, mushy πŸ’© and hollered “arrrrgh!” Mark woke with a start! 😳 I couldn’t move as BOTH FEET were entrenched! I dove face down onto the bed while Mark fumbled with the light. Yuck 🀒 ... wet paper towels for my (ticklish) feet ... and into the shower for me. Mark scooped up what he could ... then got out the carpet spray ... and eventually the big machine! I started my day washing the bedspread as it was compromised too! I called both (scarce) dogs to our bedroom and determined the culprit was Mz Beez! Since the cleaner was already, Mark did the carpet walk areas. We’re a bit tired now. πŸ˜‚

I had a message from Mark’s cousin that aunt Jane is in hospital and failing fast. They were quietly making arrangements for her cute little guy BoBo ... seen here with his late daddy.

BoBo is a Chorky ... Chihuahua / Yorkie “designer” doggie. If we can help, we will.

I finished the first part of this week’s course ... a quirky bear in a sweater with zentangling details. Here he is ...

He’s a beary happy guy ... received kudos from the art teacher and 90 likes from fellow artists. πŸ₯°

That’s enough for today. Ta ta til tomorrow.

Monday, February 8, 2021

Good morning. I tidied up the house before going to bed last night and slept until 815 this morning. Mark was already feeding the kids  and the sun was shining. What a great start to the day.

The art course lessons arrived overnight and I have three projects to complete this week. The first one is a bear in a very fancy sweater. That should be a lot of fun. Another one is to make some grungy bar coasters. And the third one is a Zentangle butterfly. πŸ‘©‍🎨  πŸŽ¨

Last night, Mark noted that I hadn’t had a birthday call from Rod and Shay ... the first time in all our years of knowing them. This morning, I read their message. They both have Covid. Roddy is into day 6 and Shay, day four. They are both at home feeling lousy. Praying they both make a full recovery.

Here we are waiting for “leftovers” at the COVID19 vaccination site at the old Sears store. No luck ... waited 2 hours; only 13 got shots. 🀷‍♀️
