Good morning y’all. We’re moving slowly today ... must be the weather! 😜

I have no words to describe these stupid people.

Sue called this morning ... more therapy for her knee but she’s walking a little better. It’s tough to make sure you don’t overdo it and make it worse. Wayne had to do the vacuuming last week so I asked if she got paid. We had a laugh before she put Wayne on the phone so I could remind him of the “family rate.” (When mom and dad were first retired, dad paid mom for doing vacuuming. Don’t ask me how it all started, I couldn’t tell you. Mom was was pretty crafty though. As the years went on she could no longer vacuum, so dad took over the vacuuming but he still had to pay her!) πŸ˜‚ πŸ’΅

In other family news, our cousin Lynn in London gave us a laugh ...

Haha ... that’ll give you something to do Tony!

Wednesday, April 15, 2020

Hey there! It’s the middle of April...officially halfway through the COVID-19 lockdown! πŸ™„  I’m afraid it’s going to last a lot longer than two more weeks! So my friends, we need to make long term changes in our lifestyle in order to thrive while we survive. We need to utilize the smart phone ZOOM for a virtual happy hour, visiting and whatever. 😜

Chikki ... with her cutest expression is asking for a snack. πŸΎπŸ’•

What the educated folks say ...

And what have we noticed these past few weeks?

Haha on #16 (Tiger King.)

Tuesday, April 14, 2020

Good afternoon. It’s a rather cloudy, windy and warm spring day. There is rain 50 miles north of us, and a slim chance we could get a little rain by 5 o’clock.

Today is Mz BZ‘s seventh birthday! Happy birthday sweetie! She started her day with steak and eggs for breakfast, a new toy and a golf cart ride. Of course Robbie gets to partake in all this too as she does on his December birthday.  πŸ’•πŸΎ

Mz Bee with a chew-chew-boney. πŸΎπŸ’•

Thanks to Jim G for this ... it’d be hilarious 🀣 if it wasn’t  πŸ’― % true.

Yup, that’s how our heel spur president rolls.

Wayne & LaDonna FaceTimed us tonight. They took a ride to check on their motorhome ... and had dinner there. We had some laughs; sure miss RVing with them.

Tonight, we FaceTime with Bonnie and Roger in Claremore Oklahoma. It was so much fun, we saw BeeZee’s brother Cabby, Ella, Chief, Buttercup and the 3 new puppies! Everyone’s well ... it was great to catch up. πŸ₯°

Monday, April 13, 2020

Good morning. I couldn’t sleep, so I got up and finished painting a charging bull elephant. I’m calling it ‘Dust Up.” It’s my first attempt at painting one of these majestic beasts. I chose monochromatic to get the feel of the charge.

So it’s still dark outside and quiet; the household is asleep, except for me.

Yesterday, Easter Sunday, was a strange one. Mark planned to make steaks, broccoli and beans for dinner. At 4 o’clock I thought we should invite Marky-Mark for a happy hour drink. Mark and I sat on the front porch while Marky Mark sat outside. It is social distancing after all. Well, it seems he was indeed in need of company and happily sat yakking til dark. We tried to wrap up happy hour by feeding and walking the dogs ... then looking at his rebuilding projects but 🀷‍♀️. Finally the bugs came out and he headed home. By that time it was too late to cook dinner so I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and Mark ate some leftovers. I guess tonight will be our steak dinner!

At 10:30, Mark headed off to the bank and ABC liquors to replenish our wine supply. We had plans to meet Randy & Dawn by boat on Lake Dora, but the wind is already 16 miles an hour out of the south! Also, with this wind from the south, it is forecast to be 91° today! OMG Summer is here early!

Sue sent me this beautiful picture of the water tower in Destin Florida. With no one on our beaches, the sea turtles are having a wonderful nesting season.

Gorgeous, isn’t it!

Happy Easter πŸ‡ ... it’s a strange one indeed. We’re fine here, but no ham dinner with family and friends.

Mz BeeZee donned her Easter bonnet and Robbie his purple bow tie for their annual picture. πŸ₯°

I promised to feature Mark’s art project from last evening ...

Ta Dahhh ... Mark landed a beautiful Dolphin

and a Billfish. These are palm pods from our Queen palms that he painted with acrylic paints. (Great job Mark!)

Saturday, April 11, 2020

Good morning. It’s a nice cool start to our Saturday. Since I’m up first and Mark is having a little sleep in, I put on the TV and immediately learned the new Florida stats. Exactly one month ago Florida had three cases of COVID-19 and today we have 18,000. 😱 Now in Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami they will be testing people with no signs of the virus. Osceola County has mandated everyone must wear a mask when they leave their home. Instead of piecemeal, I wish they would just state everyone wear a mask when leaving your house. We can’t have another huge rise 30 days from now!

If you’re looking for a break from reality for a little while tonight, our friend Alan Darcy is performing at 7 o’clock, Facebook live.

He’s cool 😎

Dr. Mehmet Oz was just on TV saying we will not be returning to normal until there is a vaccine for COVID-19. His analogy is ‘no one is going to jump in while there’s blood in the water πŸ’¦.’ (I agree with him.) Wearing a mask 😷 when you simply must leave your home helps BUT STAYING HOME is our only safety at the moment.

This mask is on Mark’s wish list ...

Hahaha ...

Our big 🍊 doufas was on TV yesterday saying his presidency has lowered CO2 emissions. Ya, no shit Sherlock πŸ•΅️‍♂️ ... no one’s driving ‘cause everything’s shut down.  No emissions ... but bankruptcies will be up. 😒

Here’s a pic from a VIP Club friend ...

The cruise business has been shut down until mid-July ... expect Carnival will be in bankruptcy soon.

Okay ... so for FUN we called the K’s on FaceTime at happy hour and now they know how to use it! It was fun ... BeeZee was happy to hear their voices but Robbie turned his back on Sue. πŸ€”πŸ˜‚

After that we tried Bonnie and Roger in Oklahoma ... but no answer. Happy Easter!

We got a phone call from RanDawn right then and had a fun yak.  They were sitting on their dock watching the herons feeding chicks in the nest. Now these are BIG birds! And, they squawk at dinner time! Those two are such fun. Today was Dawn’s cooking day ... but she tried to change the rules and just cook Randy breakfast. 🀣 He wasn’t going for that deal after slaving away cooking ribs for Dawn yesterday. 🀣🀣 Tonight she’s cooking baked chicken breasts!

Crispy chicken, rice and green beans! Well done Dawn. 😍

Next we FaceTime’d LaDonna & Wayno who were cooking Salisbury steaks for their dinner.  LaDonna’s working on the painting challenge I gave her ... and she’s doing great with it. Here’s hers so far ...

Cool beaners! Love the waves!

That’s it for tonight. Tomorrow I’m going to post some of Mark’s artwork ... for real. πŸ₯°

Ta ta for now! Stay safe ... wash dem hands and mask up when you’re out. πŸ₯°

Friday, April 10, 2020

Good afternoon. It’s actually happy hour but today we’re taking a break from it. Yesterday we got a little too happy. Ha ha ha.

This morning was housekeeping and I did a little more spring cleaning as well as the routine stuff. And then, I finished a painting. Well, I say finished but I could add a dab or two here and there. I put it in the living room to look at it while I’m watching TV ... mistakes will come to light. 😜

RELAX ... that’s my zen painting for today. (Darn ... I see changes needed already πŸ™„)

While I was talking to Sue, Lynn popped over with a mask for me ... and tossed the bag in the door. That’s so sweet! πŸ˜‚ We have such nice friends! Sue is still hurting with a fractured kneecap ... rest, elevation and ice are her daily routine. Tonight Wayne’s cooking steaks for their dinner. πŸ˜‹

Alan Darcy played a bit for Friday happy hour ... live on Facebook

The crystal worked great with Mark’s iphone. 🎷

Randy & Dawn we’re sitting on the dock reading when we talked to them. Dawn was having ribs and Randy having chicken on the Barbie tonight. It looks good.

Our USA news was grim again today; 2,000 people died from the dreaded virus overnight ... for the 2nd night in a row. New York State now has more cases than any COUNTRY (other than USA.) We’re not handling this crisis properly in the good ol’ U S of A. Our number of deaths is 18,000 😒 STAY HOME ... WASH YOUR HANDS ... WEAR A MASK if you must venture out. 😍
