Good morning. Mark got us up early with an alarm. What the heck Mark we were out till midnight! Anyway, he has gone over for the hot breakfast this morning while I showered, washed my hair and fed the kids. Just now Wayne & LaDonna stopped by to see if if we were ready for breakfast.

Last night at the rally we saw many friends we haven’t seen for a few months. It was loads of fun. Dinner at the tiki bar was really something different. The entire place is outdoors. We walked a long-long pathway probably 200 to 250‘ all lined with Tiki torches. The entire deck is lit with Tiki torches too, no electricity. Dinner was good, just beer and wine ... burgers, chicken wings and typical bar food ... All served piping hot.

Mark, Dee and JJ and me at the Tiki Bar on Lake Minneola.

LaDonna, Wayne, Bob and Georgia sat beside us.

After breakfast today we took the kids for a golf cart ride before I left for ‘Painting with a Twist.’ LaDonna, Liz and I sat together ... Wayne-O brought us wine and snacks!

Well, it was a night to remember! We had a BLAST ... great happy hour ... delicious dinner ... super ‘70’s band ... sexy hot DJ ... then Pete ran over the water line with some heavy equipment and VOILA, no bathrooms and no water to the entire RV park. ðŸĪĢ OMG that’s gonna be pricey.

Lovey-dovey ðŸĨ°

Us with our peeps 😍

It was a fab night. Mark was ready for bed as he is going hunting tomorrow with Lew, Benn, and Bob. ðŸĪ·‍♀️ Whatever. I hope he has a good morning.

Good morning. Well, a GRW service man was at our door at 9 o’clock to do the few freebie things we wanted done in our rig. One was that we didn’t know how to lower the temperature in our fridge/freezer. Yes, we saw the display screen ... but we didn’t notice the childproof lock and the edge of the readout screen. Well it worked, I guess we are still children at heart as we could not figure it out. Ha ha ha ha. The other thing he repaired was our three-way speakers. They had been wired incorrectly at the factory. He was here about an hour, so we gave him a nice tip. This is a free service that Giant offers at the rally! Nice.

While Mike was here working Mark cooked us breakfast of eggs, mushrooms and fresh tomato. Yum yum. Now we’re ready to register and pick up our rally pack and shirts. 😜

Randy and Dawn continue to have a wonderful time in Savannah and have made new friends.

It looks like a party is underway! Cheers ðŸŧ I think they are off to Charleston today!

Wayne continues to recover from his dental nightmare surgery. I can’t imagine how painful that must be. Sue reports that he’s very swollen and yet still has to go to the dentist for more work. Yikes. Feel better soon Wayne. (Mark hopes you don’t get the Billy-Bob teeth.) ðŸĪĢ

But these toofus would save ya about $39,987 🧐

At 10:30 we took the kids for a GC ride before it got too warm ... it’s going to 87 today ahead of tomorrow’s cold front.  Our pals Wayne and LaDonna arrived just after lunch; right next to us. Yayah.

RanDawn called as they were on the drive to Charleston. It seems they’re shopping their way along. 😜 Party on!

Tonight we’re going to dinner with Wayne & LaDonna to a Tiki Bar on Lake Minneola. The entertainment starts here at the rally at 7:30 ... Comedy Central and at 9 o’clock acoustic guitar.

Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Good morning. It’s a cloudy start to our central Florida day. The rig is loaded and we are ready for the GRW 2019 customer appreciation rally! We always have a great time. Tonight though, it’s just Mark and me going to dinner in Clermont. Tomorrow is the official kick-off! Karen has we Lake County VIP Camping Club members sited together. It’ll be epic. 😉

I saw this and cracked up laughing. It’s pretty true after double knee replacements. 😂

It was only 25 miles to home, so Mark’s happy as he can make opening day hunting with his pals. 🙄

So we got the site 1133, backed in and got set up. Afterwards, we went to pick up our golf cart. Then, a nap ensued.  ðŸ’Ī Later, we took the kids for a ride and visited with a few friends who just pulled in. Patti & Dan are looking to buy a class A or C motorhome and trade in their 2019 Chapparel 5th wheel. ðŸĪ·‍♀️ (Some lessons would be cheaper as he panics backing up.) We decided to stay home for supper then had wine on our patio with Robbie and BeeZee. The sound person was setting up at the huge tent so we had entertainment. 😜 Karen & Pete arrived back to their rig about 9 o’clock and came over for a nightcap. They brought their dog Lexi ... and Robbie and BeeZee were fine with her sitting with us. ðŸĨ° Hopefully, all will be well when LaDonna and Wayne bring their new pups over.

Now, it’s 1030, and we’re ready to relax inside! It’s telly time!

Yup, all the comforts of home! ðŸķ

Good early morning sunshine 🌞

Our brother-in-law Wayne is in oral surgery today. It’s extensive dental reconstruction...several hours in the operating room. ðŸĶ· We wish him good results and a fast recovery. (It’s gobble-gobble month!) ðŸĶƒ

Mark is taking Lew to the woods this morning to show him where his tree stand is all set up. (Mark’s a very good friend to Lew who otherwise couldn’t hunt anymore.) It’s all cra-cra ðŸĪŠ.

I spent my morning altering the curtains I made for the RVs living room. I felt they were a couple of inches too long. When I got to it I actually shortened them 3 inches. 😅

Finally at 1 o’clock Wayne was finished with surgery and the doctor reported that everything went very well. I am sure Sue was pretty nervous sitting and waiting.

RanDawn are in Savannah Georgia today! They’re having a fun trip! Here’s Dawn at The Brice Hotel.

Lovely! Isn’t it? 👍ðŸŧ They loved shopping around the Broughton Street area.

Oh boy! Yup, this is going on at our house. (3 o’clock is the new 4 for both Robbie and Mark!) 😉

Monday, November 4, 2019

Good morning. Well, I hardly noticed this change of time from daylight savings to standard time. Usually, I am affected for a week or more. Yesterday, both Mark and I crashed on the sofa for an hour but that was the absolute worst of it. Today, we are up and at ‘em. The RV is already loaded but ... we have the interior to give a thorough vacuuming.

I tried ordering some pumps (shoes) on Amazon. Unfortunately, shoes are one of those things that really need to be tried on. If they’re too tight or too big there’s just nothing you can do but return them. So, today, we are taking a ride to the UPS store to ship out two boxes of shoes! Drat.

Well, I just had an eBay sale of a set of gold rimmed wine glasses I bought in 1989. I’ve enjoyed them for many years and now it’s time to let someone else set a fine table.  Hmmm ... what glasses will I use now come Christmas? 🧐

Randy and Dawn are in Jacksonville tonight, heading to Savannah tomorrow.

There in a beautiful hotel on the riverfront in downtown Jacksonville. Lookin’ great Dawn! 💕

Sunday, November 3, 2019

Good morning. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny Florida morning. and, there’s no place like home. 😎

Mark has the rig to wash today while I clean the inside and do the week’s laundry, repack and reload the rig.

Then, later today, Karen and Pete are coming for happy hour at 4 o’clock ... later we’re meeting Randy & Dawn for dinner.

Randy & Dawn will be celebrating their third anniversary on November 9. They leave for a week trip on Monday.

We had a really fun evening catching up with Karen and Pete. At 5:30 we met Randy & Dawn at Stavros and Connor was our server!

We had lots of laughs ... and Connor took the picture for us. 😜 Dinner at Stavros is always spot on ... delicious and served hot! 👍ðŸŧ

Randy and Dawn had to head straight home after dinner to do some packing. Karen & Pete came in for a nightcap of Amaretto ... we’ll see them Wednesday at the Rally.

Saturday, November 2, 2019

Good morning. Well, this KOA holiday campground is a bit noisy at night. If it’s not a train, it’s trucks thumping over bumps along I 95. It’s a great place, so just make sure you have a sound machine to get a good night’s sleep. We have one, so we listen ed to the ocean waves. Ha ha.

It’s nice to know we have been missed during our little trip away. Randy & Dawn and Karen & Pete want to meet for dinner. Karen & Pete asked for tonight, but we’ve moved them to Sunday night along with Randy & Dawn. Mark thought we would be a little too tired and disheveled to go out for dinner tonight. ... privately I agree, but I’m always up for a party. 😉

We couldn’t get a full hook up site here at Point South in Yemassee SC for last night, so, we’ve had to pull up to the dump station to empty before getting on the highway. Now that I’m sitting right next to the office I can finally get on the Wi-Fi. For $67 dollars a night, we’re not impressed. They have many extras here but let’s spend some money on the Wi-Fi system. That’s what all the RV years use.

The Mermaid Cafe is cute ... there’s a waterfall beside the statue.

We’re making tracks ...

Smooth cruising ... stopping at Love’s for fuel in Brunswick.

We got home safe and sound at 3:30 ... busy busy. More tomorrow!
