Good morning. Mark and I were up very early and off to Quest to get our annual blood work done! They have a kiosk in the front office so everyone signs themselves in. One poor old guy was intimidated by the screen, and couldn’t do anything. So ... I helped. Haha. Turned out that OLD GUY is younger than us! 😱 Anyway, after that, we went to Jeannie’s for breakfast. The food was very good; I had a Greek omelette and Mark had a Denver omelette. It had been along time since we’d been out for breakfast. Robbie and BeeZee even scored a piece of peanut butter toast to add to their breakfast. Aroooooo

Happy 2nd Anniversary to RanDawn! πŸ₯‚πŸΎ They’re driving to Charleston (where they were married) for a weekend of celebrations.  ❤️

Happy Happy Anniversary! ❤️

Champagne πŸ₯‚ 🍾 on ice ...

and a gorgeous 3/3 Villa!

Enjoy the trip!

Sue sent a picture of a Sea Turtle’s boat docked at their place. When I first looked at the photo I thought it was a building in their backyard! This big yacht has four staterooms with heads and the master state room has a gym with a treadmill that drops down from the hatch!

Our cousin Patty lives up the mountain from Chico California and  is ready to flee wildfires at a moment’s notice. The town of Paradise where she raised her family was burned to the ground last night. It’s 2 “ridges” from her. Last night she went down to Chico and was amazed to see the Paradise fire lighting up the skyline. Terrible. Today, the fire had made it to Chico’s outskirts. Highways are closed. 😒

It was housekeeping morning here ... then Mark and I opened the Christmas closet and hauled the big trees out. Hi ho hi ho ... it’s off to work I go. Yay! Christmas decorating. (I’ll decorate tomorrow while Mark’s at opening day of deer season with Lew and Ben.)

A cold front is on the way to Florida tonight ...

Happy hour today was a cruise on Lake Eustis ... 82F

Pam phoned ... she’s in Nashville visiting Christine and her fiancΓ© Chase ... and meeting his mother. The grapevine whispers are for a May wedding. πŸ₯‚ 🀫

That’s it. Another busy day in the Sunshine ☀️ State.

Thursday November 8, 2018

Good morning y’all. Mark was up extra early ... getting programmed for hunting season which begins Saturday.

We heard from Rick yesterday as he was working around their property. The coach house is coming together very nicely and it appears they should be done within a few weeks. Does this mean we may see them in Florida this winter?

Mark talked to his cousin Cathy (Jane’s daughter.) She’s in town TIL the 15th sorting out her mom’s muddle. Jane is a hoarder of sorts ... towels, sheets and crazy housewares. Cathy is “attempting” to wrestle things into the donation boxes. We must get over to see them this weekend.

I dove into housekeeping myself today as Christmas decorating is on my mind. After a good floor cleaning tomorrow the trees will be set up. When Mark and Lew go hunting Saturday, I’ll be happy to put on music 🎢 and deck the halls! πŸŽ„ 47 days til Christmas. πŸŽ…πŸΌ

Sue’s been busy rescuing a poor little Shizzle. This little stray needs her eyes removed from ongoing, untreated problems. It’s heartbreaking.

Before grooming her eyes weren’t visible!

I can only imagine the extreme pain this little “breeder” has endured! Everyone was shocked to see her eye damage when it was revealed after she was groomed and the matted hair came off. 😒

Little Tess went to surgery after Sue picked her up and then will go to a quarantine shelter. After recovery and quarantine she’ll go to Shih Tzu Rescue. Her eye pain will be soon be gone and she will adjust to her new surroundings. Poor wee doggie. It’s a long road ahead.

On the other spectrum of dogs ... 😊 Bonnie, Roger and the Scotties are driving in snow tonight heading to a dog show in Missouri. These babes are well cared for and loved.

RanDawn are packing tonight for their 2nd Anniversary weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s 67 there tonight ... a nice change of weather for them! Happy Anniversary ❤️ Congratulations πŸ₯‚ 🍾

Good morning. Well, the midterm elections are over and hallelujah, we do not have to watch any more ads. Ha ha. A few good things like referendums on ending greyhound racing, no drilling on Florida shores, and casino licensing in the hands of voters passed. All in all, I’m pleased that there will be a little balance in  Washington with the Democrats controlling the “House.”

So I just had a good giggle. Karen sent a message asking if we wanted to come camping this weekend as she just had a cancellation. I asked Mark was out there moving things around adjusting for the new rig and all I heard was a sharp NO. Here’s my funny conversation with Karen.

Er, I mean my sweet cuddly teddy bear 🐻❤️

I spent my day photographing eBay items and listing them on eBay. That’s time consuming! Robbie and BeeZee are running out of patience waiting for a ride on The Caddy!

Lew and Lynn are getting a new roof and the Mexican music 🎢 is blasting on our street. When will we get our insurance claim paid? I phoned Morgan & Morgan ... again, but no reply yet. I’m starting to think they’ve lost my file!

Speaking of Lew and Lynn, they are taking us to Red  Lobster tonight for a feast. Mark worked a few hours taking solar panels off their roof ahead of the roofers.

Back home, we sat on the porch with the doggies and enjoyed the evening.

Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Good morning. I’ve been having a heckuva time sleeping! I cannot blame the time change at this point, because I’m getting up way earlier than usual. Mark is calling it “RV” brain. Ha! So, I was awake at 4 o’clock and went out to the RV and finished doing the shelf liner. When Marky gets home from running errands we are going to back the Brookstone into the RVport. Fingers crossed it’ll fit.

Here’s hoping!

Things got a bit dicey as our height on the A/C units is 13’ 2” ...

but we skimmed past the RVport roof lip. ✅

Mark inched along nicely while I walked side to side at the rear watching the slide covers and the big awning cover.

Nicely done. πŸ‘Œ

We ran into a snafu on the length of the Brookstone. It’s listed as 40’ 10” ... but I’m guessing the rear ladder adds half a foot or more.

We’re at the back here ... and can’t quite close the gate. πŸ™„

That’ll do until we go away for Thanksgiving and will rethink how to back it in a little better.

Tomorrow, the sunshades go up on the RVPORT. πŸ‘πŸ»

As you can see, we’re ignoring the election results until tomorrow ... we’ve had enough of the ads!

Monday, November 5, 2018

Good day eh? Well, it’s crappy weather here, 72F and 95% humidity. The air feels like a damp blanket. T-storms are forecast.

So I woke at 4 o’clock and worked on the RV shelving and loading things in. Mark called me for bacon and eggs at 7:30. Perfect. I was ready for Advil and had just run out of shelf liner. So far, I’ve used 40’ of the stuff and need at least 20’ more! It’s a good day for gettin’ it done. If it’s dry tomorrow, we’ll back it into the RVport.

Mark is helping Lew to remove his solar panels ahead of a new roof going on his house Wednesday. Our insurance company has not responded to the attorney as far as I know. It was the same storm, Lew got paid, we didn’t. πŸ™„

Diane called. She had received your DNA heritage from 23 and me. It’s so fascinating the differences between sisters. When we get together at Thanksgiving I’ll bring my information and I’ll ask Sue to bring hers.

Tonight I’m interviewing a neighbor for our “Spotlight” newsletter series.

Sunday, November 4, 2018

Good morning. Apparently I was overserved at Lew and Lynn‘s house yesterday. πŸ€ͺ Fortunately, Mark remembered to turn the clocks back because that was the last thing on my mind this morning. Ha ha. Lynn cooked us dinner in her new air fryer, french fries and chicken. It was really good. But Mark says, no more kitchen appliances in our house! πŸ‘€ Really? Afterword, we played Jeff Foxworthy’s new game relative insanity. It was lots of laughs.

Today we are going shopping for a few items for our new RV. I have about an hour’s worth of unpacking to do and then start lining the shelves with the grippy stuff. (Hope Mark will help me!)

Tonight we met RanDawn for dinner at Stavros. It was extra-good tonight. I had Carbonara Mediterranean, Randy had Eggplant Parmigiana, Dawn had Sausage and Marinara and Mark had Ziti and Meatballs. Yummy. It was a fun night. Dawn suggested “just one more glass of wine” ... so we did. It was great! I think we closed the place.

Saturday, November 3, 2018

Good afternoon y’all. Our weather is perfect for loading up our new 5th wheel! (The donations pile is growing!)

Lew and Lynn have been over to “ooo and ahhh”
until Lynn hauled him out of there! Haha. He was ready to move in! We’ll need a trip to Walmart for a few storage bins to keep odds ‘n sods corralled.

Robbie and BeeZee came in and poked about. Robs has decided the top of the stairs is his vantage point. Bee trots about checking it all out.

LANY and Marky Mark left about 5 o’clock for their long drive to Canada. They accomplished the front yard sprinkler system before they left. We think that’s amazing. Hopefully, they will be back in January, permanently. We sure enjoyed your company.

Lew popped over for happy hour about 430 and it extended to 630 when Lynn cooked dinner for us all. Ha ha. She has a new fryer that takes just one teaspoon of oil to make fantastic french fries! So, tonight, we had chicken breast, green beans and french fries.

Lynn, drinking tea! WTH?

Tomorrow, we hope to finish organizing the rig or  and then meet Pete, Karen, Randy and Dawn at Stavro’s for dinner.

As you can tell from the blog, it’s been a rather hectic day. More tomorrow. 😍
