Good morning. Robbie, BeeZee and I are sitting on the front porch enjoying the rain showers. Yesterday, I listed a few things on our local marketplace, sold one yesterday and have a lady coming to pick up two bedroom lamps today. Cool. This is much easier than Ebay ... and it’s free to use. 💵 

Mark begin his day with a drive to the dump with a load of brush. Since it’s raining, he parked under the breezeway across the street and is doing inside work today. Marky Mark wants some carpet removed, and drywall removed from bedroom walls. That’s fun stuff. Well, maybe not carpet removal but the drywall removal, hell yeah. 😜

This afternoon we played rummy on the porch ... after 2.5 hours I won. Darn, that was some game; we only played to 100. Now Mark is cooking sauce for our dinner tonight. 

Sue and Wayne are off to J. Marks for dinner tonight with Bill and Kelly. 

Randy and Dawn will regrouping tonight for tomorrow’s visit with Robin and Harper at the hotel. Randy still is not feeling 100%. 😔  There guest leave tomorrow afternoon for home.

Tonight, we went to see Lew and Lynn. They leave tomorrow morning for their trip to their camp in New York. We will be keeping an eye on everything while they are away. 😄 

That’s it. Now we are home snuggle boggle with the doggies and Robbie is getting a grooming. Ouch!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms ❤️

We began our day with the front door open while I watered the plants and filled the bird baths. We have had a beautiful cardinal take a bath during happy hour recently. Yes, we are still expecting that big rainstorm but as it approaches us, it seems to evaporate. I know we will get some in the next day or two. Meanwhile, Mark cooked us bacon and eggs for breakfast then went across the street to load Randy’s truck with another run for the dump. A run to the dump will begin tomorrow’s jobs. 

We slept very well for having a new mattress. Of course it is much firmer than the old one because the old one was broken down and saggy. Ha ha. Anyway, I woke up without a sore back for the first time in over a month. So, my body is appreciating it. 👍🏻 I am sure it will take us about a week to get used to it and also the manufacturer says it takes about a month for the bed to adjust more to your body. I don’t know how that happens, but whatever. 

I thought this was appropriate for Mother’s Day, a family of storks! 😄

We’re having happy hour on the front porch ahead of the rain. Of course this is the rain we’ve been waiting for for two days. 🙄 ☔️ 

Happy Birthday to our pal Rick ... and Happy Anniversary to Rick & Ruth. They were biking today ... and I just know Randy’s going to comment on Rick going all-out for the 43rd Anniversary dinner. 😜

Well, after Mark got the boat all prepped for nine of us to go to Hurricanes for a luncheon, a storm began to move in and plans had to change.Drat. 

It’s coming ... so we drove over instead. 

Only one group came by boat! It was a good turnout for this year’s event despite the weather looming.

Fun friends ‘n neighbors out for fun. 

We moved around and visited ... lunch was good ... drinks excellent ... music 🎶 a one-man band on bongos!  ✅. 

When we arrived home our Zinus mattress had been delivered! It’s the new technology ... arrived rolled up like a sausage ... a 79 pounder. 😂

We removed the 4” Temperpidic topper and white mattress and pared the bed down to the box springs only ...

then placed the Zinus mattress on it and ripped off the plastic. It started rising like a loaf of bread! By the time I had washed the mattress topper and sheets, it was time to make the bed. It had expanded to a full 12 inches thick. When I lay down to test it, it felt so comfortable I could’ve fallen asleep right away! Anyway, we will keep the old mattress and topper and see how we both sleep tonight. (I’ve been waking up with a backache for the past month or so.) Lew and Lynn have highly recommended this mattress! They are not easy to please and generally return all furniture and bedding. Zinus. They recommend. 👍🏻

So we walked over to Marky Mark‘s place and check the pool chemicals. This time we took the Scotties with us and let them check out the place. Although they’ve never walked around the pool before, they seemed pretty cautious. Mark had his phone out of his pocket just in case he had to jump in after one of them.

It’s a lovely shade of green! The water test was perfect ... so, we will wait for the chlorine stabilizer to arrive and then do a shock treatment every two hours to rid the pool of green. It can happen in 24 hours, done correctly. 

This evening, Sue and Wayne are at the yacht club for a disco party. Their friend Larry is an attorney. 😂

Randy has been down with a stomach bug for 2 days. We know he’s enjoying the Winnipeg Jets hockey game tonight. (We’re watching too!) Dawn is at Disney with the gang. 

After all the rain threats and forecasting ... NO RAIN! We could have gone boating. Oh well, it’s clean and ready for another day.

Good day eh? It’s a hot one here in CF. I had shopping to do at Walgreens but first delivered a few bags of goodies to the humane society store. The Vietnam vet who helps out there was on duty ... he doesn’t look the part but obviously has a big heart. Today’s donation was 2 long summer dresses, towels, tablecloths and odds ‘n sods. Of course I bought something ... an 18” tall teal vase. Just what this house needed. 🙄

Mark worked at Marky-Mark’s house shoveling up the kitchen wall mess, checking the pool, fixing a sprinkler zone switch and cleaning up. I took Robbie and BeeZee for a golf cart ride ... it was nice and breezy riding along. Otherwise it’s too hot for Spot 🐶 (and me.) 🌞 

Lew and Lynn are prepping for their drive north next week. Lynn got the okay from the neurosurgeon ... just must stop every 2 hours and walk around. ✅ We’re in charge of house sitting, watering plants and swimming in their pool. Yup, we can manage that. 

Tonight, we are meeting Randy and Dawn and all the gang at Jeremiah’s for dinner at 7 o’clock. Celebration is for Brittany and Alan’s birthday plus Dawn’s sister Robin and her granddaughter will be there too! PARTAY 🎈 🍻 

It’s now 9ish and we’re home from the feast. Jeremiah’s is always busy. We had to wait 15 months minutes for a table, not too bad for a group of 11. Ancient Aliens is on but we’ll switch back to check on the Tampa/Washington hockey game. 

Tomorrow morning we’re taking a boat load to Hurricane’s for the Harbor Shores luncheon. Pictures tomorrow, I promise.

Good morning. We were up fairly early as Mark wanted to get a jump on hauling the trash to the curb for tomorrow’s pick up. No, not from our house but from you know where. Ha. After breakfast he took another huge load to the dump in Randy’s truck. I’ll walk over there with him later to check the pool chemicals. Marky-Mark is sending some algicide with instructions ... the pool chemicals will have to be somewhat in balance prior to that. 

In other news, Dawn’s sister Robin arrives tomorrow for their joint weekend with the grandchildren at Disney World in Orlando. I know they will have a blast, and Randy will have a quiet weekend holding the fort at home. Tomorrow night we are meeting them all at Jeremiah’s for Brittany‘s and Alan’s birthdays. 

This afternoon I’m going to Deenna‘s for a couple of hours to peg and solder my glass piece. As Mark mentioned to me today, this is a long project. Yes it is. 

This afternoon Deena showed me how to solder on the glass ... this is the back (it needs to be fine-tuned yet.) When the back is finished it’ll be turned over and the front soldered too. 

Deenna sent a picture of what the lamp looks like on the stand, lit and unlit. 😜

Pretty cool eh? 

Today’s happy hour involved walking over to Marky-Mark’s and Lani’s and checking on the pool chemicals. Can you believe it, the test came back perfect. It needs a little chlorine stabilizer in it, but everything was in balance. So, we measured up and added algicide to the pool. I would think within a few days it should be pretty darn clear. Amazing. I wish I knew their color choices as I would help by painting that darn front door that I have to look at during happy hour daily. Ha ha Ha ha ha. 😇 🎨 

Linda and Jack just rode by on their bikes, very slowly. That makes the Scotties extremely agitated. 🙄 Of course they barked. 

After dinner we phoned Paula in Asheville to catch up on the news. It’ll be nice to see her this summer ... and the boys! We’re staying home tonight and watching hockey ... go Winnipeg Jets!!! 🇨🇦

Good morning! Yes, it is a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. We both slept until 830, had breakfast and now Mark has taken a load to the dump. No, it’s not from our house, it’s from Marky Mark‘s place across the street. 

The waste management truck arrived and I made sure they saw me taking video of them. They took a lot this time! Next week’s bulk pickup should catch it up. 

After two loads to the dump already, the truck is loaded for tomorrow morning again. 

I woke up with a craving for chocolate so whipped up 24 chocolate cupcakes which I will share around the neighborhood. Mark’s old high school friend moved nearby about three weeks ago. We invited him to dinner tonight but he is apparently suffering from heat exhaustion and allergies. Oh no! That’s no welcome to our sunshine State.) 😢 Apparently he went to the doctor yesterday. Mark suggested that he not overdo working outside but take it gradual. (He’s moved from California, and I suspect the drive and unpacking has been physically as well as emotionally exhausting.) As far as the allergies go, Mark suggested Zyrtec which he takes daily. Apparently Larry has been pressure washing his house and doing gardening. Perhaps a delivery of a few chocolate cupcakes could improve things. 😇

And what am I going to do today? Well, I am going to work on my stained glass project by foiling the edges. Tomorrow I will go back to Deenna’s house and learn how to space it. then soldering the pieces together. I have enjoyed it, but I’m not sure when I would start another one. We’ll see. I’d like to have a spot in mind that needs “something” before I make it. Hell if I had more walls I’d still be oil painting. Ha ha ha. 

I took cupcakes to Lynn (and Lew) and had a visit. She’s only feeling about 75% now as she’s not able to sleep because of the pain. She has a tremendous amount of bruising on both arms, one arm she fell on and the other one from the IV bruises ... her right leg is black and blue from the brain surgery. (Imagine doing brain surgery from the groin area!) She has an appointment with the neurologist tomorrow; she wants to check what medications he wants her to take. (So far it’s just a low-dose aspirin daily.)

Rose asked for help picking art for a wall in her house. She likes abstract art which isn’t my style but yet here I am ... 

Sharon asked for help tearing down a wall in her house; but I think it would devalue her property so I told her the truth. I suggested she reconfigure her kitchen for an open living space instead. Oh boy.

Hahaha ... yup. 

After a nice happy hour we had avocado salad, meatloaf and green beans. After a dog walk and kitchen tidy up we watched Blacklist.

Good morning. We were both up about 8 o’clock and opened the front door to a beautiful 68°. It’s going to be a warm one though going to 87 later today. After a breakfast of bacon and eggs Mark loaded up Randy’s truck to take a load to the dump.

Rose is hosting game day this afternoon at 1 o’clock. So I must get my things done this morning and be ready to play Mexican dominoes this afternoon. Fun. 

Well Mark made two trips to the dump with a fully loaded truck. Now it’s loaded for another run to the dump first thing tomorrow morning. 👍🏻 I’m betting there’s a couple of Advil in his future tonight. Ouch!

Game day was an absolute laugh-fest. OMG Pat was on a roll today and had us all giggling. It was so much fun. We played Mexican dominoes and the gals did not want to keep score. As it turned out, I would’ve been the big loser. Finally I won the last hand, but that was the only one! Rose made a great chicken dip (like Mark’s Buffalo one, sort of) and we ate well. Yes, Wine was involved. Rose’s hubby arrived home with groceries while we were still playing dominoes. Pat spotted Jim carrying a big package of toilet paper and made a funny comment. 😂

When I arrived home Mark told me Pam had a fall at home and needed stitches! It was an odd accident ... she was carrying laundry into her bedroom, tripped over the laundry basket and did a header into a roasting pan. (Yes, that’s odd.) We sure hope Pam heals quickly and completely. ❤️

Now it’s time to feed the dogs ... ground beef, potatoes and veggies. (We’re having Mark’s meatloaf tonight!)

We walked over to check the pool for Marky Mark and then sat on our front porch with a glass of wine. Now it’s TV time with dogs on our laps. 🐾💕👍🏻
