Good morning! It looks like a good day ahead. We're boating to Hurricane's for our annual luncheon. Pat, Ken, Rose and Jim are joining us on the cruise. (The dogs are going to be annoyed at being left home!) Ruff. (Carol and Richard joined the boating PARTAY!)

Back home, Pat and Ken settled onto bar stools for a last round after everyone else headed home. It was a gorgeous day ... nice and cool til we got off the boat.

Carol, Richard, Jack (behind), Hal & Helen.

Nancy & Dick

Sharon, Alice, Mike, Mark, Ken, Pat, Linda, Jack, Rose, Jim, Julie, Annette, Tim and Art.

The service and food were good. ✅ It was nice and cool inside! Whew. I'm not sure why, but 10 people didn't show up! Perhaps they thought we were sitting outside and it would be too hot. Who knows, but those of us who were there had a great time.

Sue and Wayne are enjoying a day off at the Wisconsin Dells. It is raining cats and dogs there so they have been driving around checking out the area. Sue says it looks like Niagara Falls on steroids. Wow ... it's become very popular, apparently.

Dawn has been at work today while Randy grocery shopped and prepared their house for Monday's dinner party. (Ken's mom was just taken to hospital for a MRI on her hip.) 😫 We sure hope Martha is okay! (89)

Well, we watched the Preakness race ... and that was the highlight of our evening. Sue is wondering where the Blog is ... so here it is. 😁

Friday, May 19, 2017

Good afternoon. This will be my third attempt at posting a blog since yesterday. No my test blog post it, so what on earth could be wrong with the system? Perhaps, it didn't like my pictures? 😜

Well, we had a good time at Pat and Ken's last night. Rose and Jim as well as Nancy and her dog Kachina, a Shibu Eno joined the party. It was a delicious roast beef with whipped potatoes, vegetables salad and followed by a razzle berry pie and ice cream! Of course there were the antics, stories and laughs.

Pat and Ken ... having fun with friends. As Pat said this morning, we don't do this sideshow for just anyone. 😂

During dinner, Randy and Dawn phoned to invite all of us to their home on Monday night. WOWSA! Rose and Jim already had plans so couldn't commit, but the rest of us did readily! YeeHaw ... more fun!

It was certainly a fun evening. Now, for today, Mark began with a chiropractor appointment while I vacuumed and did Friday housekeeping. My new bicycle arrived and Mark put it together right away. It took a little bit to get the seat adjusted high enough so that I could pedal and then raise the handlebar so I could sit upright.

Mark says I need training wheels. 🤣  this evening, after the sun goes down, I'll try it out on a couple of streets! (I gave up on my bicycle and took the dogs for a long ride on the golf cart.)

Mark's now putting new lights on our Dodge's rack.

So, although this blog is not done, I am going to publish it and attempt to add to it later. Maybe I can outsmart the system. Ha ha.

Testing testing testing

Where is the missing blog?

Wednesday May 17, 2017

Well that was a crazy morning! Mark took Da Mounty to WinnDixie for a few things while I readied for today's ladies luncheon at Tillie's in downtown Eustis. Just as I was leaving to pick up Sharon, Mark phoned needing help. Da Mounty wouldn't start ... and Mark had frozen food. I made a few phones calls to get Sharon a ride and headed over to get Mark. I thought I'd miss lunch but Dawn offered to come and pick me up! Sweet.

There were 17 of us today! Tillie's service was excellent; we had THE BEST waitress!

Love Nancy's eye roll 🙄 ... haha.

The portions are big ... Dawn and I both ordered a Pop's Burger ...

with onion rings piled up. Yummers. (Does Nancy wish she'd ordered that?) 🤣

Dawn and I popped into Peddler's Wagon after lunch and bought a few necessities. Well, we "needed" them. 😜

Meanwhile, Mark took some tools (and the KIA) and got Mounty back home, leaving our KIA at WinnDixie. It seems the Mounty's starter needs replacing.

Dawn dropped me at Walgreens to shop while I waited for Mark to pick me up in the Dodge ... to get the KIA. Haha. We were one act short of a full-blown circus today! 🤡

Back home now, it's time to prep for our little dinner party with Randy and Dawn at 5 o'clock. Non-stop fun on this lovely day.

Sue and Wayne left Jacksonville at 9 and were in Atlanta by 3:30. They stopped just north of A for the night. It was apparently a good day!

We had our laughs with Randy & Dawn here. First, dinner was great! We all ate too much, moaned and groaned through a half round of Mexican dominoes. Mark won, Dawn a close second. They'd brought a couple good chocolate bars for dessert which we managed to devour. Haha. So much for being too full!

Dawn asked Mark for his chicken parm recipe ... so RANDY could make it for her. Haha. We all had a great laugh, especially Randy.

Dawn and I decided a moonlit golf cart ride was in the Stars for us ... so Mark took the dog box off and away we went! It was a blast! We honked the horn at every friend's house, but alas, everyone had their lights off. 🙃.

That was our fun! We had a nice email from Rick M and will see him in Canada this July. I'll write you back tomorrow!

Ta Ta.

Egad. Sue and Diane were texting back and forth BEFORE I was up this morning. Haha. Well, the K's are on their way to Canada for summer! Safe travels ... and we'll see you in July!

Mark took our propane tanks in for topping up but soon found out that place doesn't top-up propane anymore. It's a full-fill or nothing. So, it was nothing. 🙄 Meanwhile, Randy popped in for a coffee after golf. We got the calendar out on the counter and tried to coordinate our travels. So far, it seems improbable. We shall see.

Sue and Wayne left home by 9 o'clock this morning for Jacksonville. I think they had a good travel day, weatherwise. (It was hot here at 91°)

Once Wayne and Sue were settled, they sent this picture. Dad loved Ruffino ... and Wayne reminded me that, so does Mark! Ha!

Posh.

Well, here's how it is at our house.

🤣

After dinner, I prepared a dessert for our dinner Thursday night at Pat and Ken's.  Marky washed the car while I rode the kids around on The Caddy. 😁 Awesome fun! There are a few jealous dogs about the hood who don't have a golf cart. Hee hee.

Tomorrow is ladies luncheon for me at Tillie's in Eustis. It's actually the third place we chose. Ha ha. We first chose the Blackwater Inn on the St. John's River, but they don't open until 430 now; then we tried Magnolia's in Eustis but they've closed!; so 3rd time lucky. Tillie's it is. Dawn is meeting me there!

Did I mention the Facebook site we enjoy with other Scottie dog owners? Well, here's one big boy who looks so much like our ol' Shiloh!

Sammy is indeed a big handsome Scottie. 💕🐾 He sits like Shiloh used to. Hello handsome. ❤️

Tomorrow night, Randy and Dawn are coming for Mark's Parmesan chicken, grilled asparagus and salad ... then to finish last weeks game of Mexican dominoes! Currently, Mark is in the lead with 63 points.

So that's it for tonight. We're watching TV with our dogs on our laps.

Monday, May 15, 2017

Good morning. Yes, as usual, it is a bright sunny beautiful day in Central Florida. We had a wee bit of fog this morning, happy to have a little humidity in our air. There was no dillydallying this morning as Mark had a 9 o'clock chiropractor appointment and we both had 1130 dental appointments. Up an' at 'em.

Lew's GAMEWELL fire alarm sold on eBay auction for $1,000 ... so, it was off to the post office to ship it. Believe me, that was not cheap. We had to put insurance on of course and signature required. Ka-Ching ! (When we got home, I had had another eBay sale, so I wrapped it up and Mark took it to the post office.)

While we were shopping at Walmart yesterday, unknown to me, Mark spotted Huffy beach cruisers on sale for 79.97. He mentioned it today so I went online to check them out and discovered free shipping. Sweet. I ordered a red bike for Mark and a coral pink one for me. It will be fun to have them along on our RV trip!

One of the Scottie dog Facebook pages that we follow is quite funny. This woman just purchased Prince for her other dog Duffy. The background of the story is Duffy wasn't as thrilled as she thought he would be. The owner is quite a funny writer and puts cartoon captions on her dogs pics.

Perhaps it is just my strange sense of humor, but this was hilarious to me. Kind of makes you want to have a wee pupper in the house. Oh no! 🙄

So I took a ride to Elaine and Roger's house, just one street away. I was returning a National Geographic book they loaned me. Of course, I was invited in for happy hour ... well, one lead to two and we had some awesome conversations. They are a lovely couple! We have decided to make a pinochle or euchre team in the neighborhood. Haha. Just add wine. LOL. They invited Mark to come over with the Scotties and join happy hour.  He wouldn't. I was supposed to be home to pick up the dogs to take them for their ride in the Caddy. Alas ...

 Daddy drove them. 💕🐾

Tomorrow Sue and Wayne start their annual trek to the cottage, about a month before we do. We have a few "events" before we pack up for the drive. So, that was our day!

It's a lovely Mother's Day here in Central Florida ...

I took the Scotties for a long golf cart ride then visited Mark working on K's lot.

Mark, working hard on this beautiful 85F day!

As Wayne said when he saw this photo ... "You mean there's water back there?" 😂  About 50' of the shoreline has been cleaned up. It's going to be a beautiful site for someone's home. That's Lake Eustis at the point of light, center of photo.

Mark wanted a doggie kiss ...

hahaha ... no luck. (They're sitting on the golf cart box, pictured below.)
We sure love our golf cart rides! Right kids? Well I do.

Our fun tonight was Walmart shopping ... and it was THE night to go; scarcely anyone there with Mother's Day. 👍🏻

Randy and Dawn have been away to Flagler Beach with friends on the bike.

This was taken at Iron Horse Saloon this morning. Party on!

Sue and Wayne enjoyed the nice weather by taking the doggies for a beach drive. Nice!

We just finished a late dinner of pork chops, applesauce, salad, homegrown tomatoes and Vermouth mushrooms.

That's it. Time for "the news!"
