Good morning. We slept until 830, had breakfast and began our weekly housekeeping. Actually, not much got done last week as we were busy with company and entertaining. Never fear, the work waited for us. LOL

Mark planned some work on his Mountaineer today. The tie rods on the front right need replacing. He watched some YouTube videos how to do it and feels that is something he could easily accomplish. Did I mention that he bought a creeper for one of his birthday gifts? Well, this would be the first time he could use it. Me? I have a few things to handle in my craft room, more eBay items to list and to begin working on Christmas ideas.

Randy and Dawn are going to the Hideaway tonight. Since we were out last night, I think we will likely stay home. Perhaps we'll manage a happy hour on the boat with the doggies. It's an absolutely perfect 84° day!

Mark came home from Winn Dixie with 3 BIG rib-eye steaks (for $20.) It was a BBQ feast for dinner! Yum. 

Sue and Wayne are going dancing at the Elks tonight with Jack and Carol. We hope to hear good news about Jack's health issue.

Tonight ... a spectacular Harvest Moon! I hope you'll see it where you are.

MID-SEPTEMBER (already), 2016

I'm up well before the sun and read futuristic news of AI (artificial intelligence), solar energy stored in salt water towers, gene manipulation to prevent blindness in children and Facebook posts from friends. I'm ready for this day to unfold!

After filling my head with new science I spent a half hour soaking in the hot tub! Perfect.  

Robbie and BeeZee were so excited to see the tortoise walking past our house today.

We had appointments at 2 to file our CWP applications ... Ka-Ching $248 later we're in the system. Mark's fingerprints were done quickly ... but it seems I've worn mine down to black smudges! Each finger had to be done 3-4 times. Apparently, a life of handling paperwork wore them down. Who knew?

I called Randy about 5 o'clock to see how his neck was. He's had a terribly stiff neck for a couple of months now (ever since the baby on the plane called him daddy.) LOL. He was feeling a little better and had another funny story to tell. On the way home from his Pompano Beach dental appointment on Monday, he and Dawn stopped at the Subway at Fort Drum for a bite to eat. While they were standing in line waiting on their order, Randy felt something touch him. He turned around but with his stiff neck he didn't see anyone there. A few seconds later, he felt "something" wrap around his leg. Dawn saw what was happening and before Randy could look down, she said, "If he calls you daddy I'm going to pee my pants from laughing so hard." LOL. Randy is a kid magnet! Luckily, The boys mother came running to retrieve him. Haha. Randy needs to make some wardrobe changes. LMFAO

Mark and I decided on Stavros' meatballs and sauce tonight. Delicioso! After we came home, it was ring toss on the patio with a cigar and wine. The Scotties loved running about chasing the poor lizards!  Of course the two hunters were sitting on the bar shelf that Mark lined with padded rubber for them! No lizards were harmed. 

Now, it's the Buffalo Bills against the NY Jets. Mark is right into this, so Ta Ta til tomorrow.

Good good good day, eh? Well it's gorgeous here with dappled sunshine and a slight breeze. Mark walked the doggies and saw our neighborhood gopher tortoise cross the road. Then Sammy, a Schnauzer, walked by and they sat perfectly and watched. Why the great behavior? Mark had a squirt water bottle with him. LOL

It's hang out at the doctor day ... we just had a laugh as some guy wandered in to use the washroom ... and there was enough water being splashed about for a shower! Then he abruptly left the building. LOL. I guess it was the cleanest place in town to wash up!

Mark had good news today! He does NOT have rheumatoid arthritis. Yes, he has aches and pains, but the much more treatable kind of "Arthur." 

This afternoon was the first time we heard about Tropical Storm Julia ... and the unusual twists and turns of the track it's taken. Charleston is getting a shower right now!

Except for a few feeder bands of rain, Central Florida was spared. Actually, it was good to get some rain!

What's up buttercup? 

Yes folks, this is the hypocrisy of our presidential election for 2016. >:-/

A terrible sickness has permeated our beloved U.S.A. and given voice to the absolute worst, the bottom of the barrel, of our citizens! It's similar to Germans in the 1930's and 1940's ... fear anyone different; fear the Jews, fear the Pols, fear, fear, FEAR! The Orange Orangatan preaches just like Hitler did that HE ALONE "will make Germany, er America, great again!" Trump is a narcissist, a con man and a psychopath. 

If this man triumphs and becomes our next president, the entire WORLD is in dire straights. You can expect WW3 ... and he can't wait to use nukes! If he feels slighted, and indeed he does several times a week, he retaliates! Maybe it'll be your country's leader who provokes him!

When history is ignored, it is repeated! One Hitler was enough! 

Several of my Canadian friends possess thinking that Trump is a good businessman. He may or may not be but what we do know is that he has a deep hatred triggered by a personality disorder. No, it's not just my opinion, read on. 

And, onto more mundane things. Both Mark and I woke up with hangovers! OMG we must have had too much wine! After glasses of water, bacon and eggs, and TV time we're ready to tackle our day. 

Did you see Dancing with the Stars last night? It was a great "first" night ... Laurie Hernandez (16) was dynamite. She really is "America's Treasure!" 

Brian Lochte's dance was punctuated by two demonstrators who attempted to tackle him regarding the "Rio" incedent. It's time to move on from that mess. By the way, when a REAL REPORTER flew to Rio to investigate, a very different story emerged. There was no bathroom damaged and in fact the guys couldn't get into the bathroom at all! Brazilian eye witnesses said the 4 Americans couldn't get into the bathroom. They urinated behind the building and pushed a sign over. Bad behavior, no doubt. The "cop" who pulled a pistol and aimed it at the 4 boozers was a stronge arm thug himself. Brian and fellow Americans were essentially robbed! That's what happens when reporters don't delve into a story themselves but embellish thereby compounding more errors in a story. Do your job folks. Report the real deal. 

Sue and Wayne arrived home by 4:30 ... and I'm sure will be buried in mail and unpacking for a day or two!

Us? We had a few errands to run about town but plan to relax at home tonight. Our Scotties are tuckered out today too. (I guess they were on high alert with other dogs in the house yesterday!) 

Randy is home with a stiff neck. The doctor gave him some meds so hopefully he will feel better in a day or two. This has plagued him since his July flight to Cincinnati when a wee boy on the plane called him "DADDY!" LOL ... Randy whipped his head around so fast that his neck kinked!

Good morning! What a great sleep I (finally) had. So, Beez and I are cuddled up at the moment watching Ancient Aliens about Antartica. Did you know it once had (12,000 years ago) a verdant, temperate climate? Crustal displacement may have occurred which shifted the poles to their present day position. Thank Professor Hapgood for sharing his knowledge. (Magnetic north has moved towards Canada (from Greenland) at a rate of 400 km in the last 10 years!) Wowsa!

So, Mark and Lew are off to the Ocala Forest for some scouting this morning ... and I'm prepping for a small dinner party with Sue, Wayne, Diane & Kris here tonight. 

Sue arrived for a visit about 1 o'clock to meet BeeZee and visit Robbie. Robs was very happy to see "Auntie Humpy!" LOL ... he loves her. They'll be back about 5:30 with Shorty Hotpants and Julius and our Scotties will have rawhides, in my craft room.

Well, we had a delicious dinner and plenty of fun. Sue and Wayne sat with Shorty Hotpants and Julius while Diane and Kris arrived with Bell and her pink carriage. Meanwhile, the poor Scotties were quarantined in the garage with A/C, rawhides and icewater. Arooooo's. 

The party continued until after 10 o'clock when Sue and Wayne, Shorty Hotpants and Julius left for their RV at Fishermen's Cove. Diane, Kris and Belle left shortly thereafter. We felt bad for Kris as we knew he was in pain with his broken hand and in-recovery leg! Sometimes, life just isn't fair.

Meanwhile, Mark and I tidied up and watched Dancing with the Stars. During the production, Brian Lochte's anti-Fanbase made a big stink. There is a time and a place for speaking your mind ... and that wasn't it.

We had quite a laugh today. Last night, Mark and I posted our Hillary signs! Well, next-door is a "self proclaimed Saint and his wife" who blamed President Obama for their lack of choice in selling their overbuilt compound in Tennessee. Really, every time this man speaks to us, it is to tell us about his "huge compound," his words, and that it has not sold in Tennessee because of Obama's practices. Well, we're not sure what he is going to say now as the property has sold. Regardless though he has put up his dumb ass Trump signs! OMG ... 

Well, that's my comments for today.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET 9/11

Good morning from sunny Central Florida. Mark and I visited our pal Nancy by 11 o'clock and picked up HILLARY signs! Yes, we've looked at both sides extensively and made our choice of candidate to support. So, her signs are up on our property! 

What's up today? Well for me it was balancing our budget ... and I did it. Yay. 

Sue and Wayne arrived today about 3. By 5 o'clock we all met at their lovely Prevost for cocktail hour. 

Kris, Wayne, Julie and Sue ... 

Randy, Dawn and Diane were on the sunny side. We had lots of catching up as we hadn't all been together since last Christmas. 

At 6:30 we went for dinner at Oakwood Smokehouse. It was great! Dawn, Sue and I all ordered baked potatoes with our dinners. The waitress came back to say they only had 2 potatoes! LOL. So we drew straws!

Guess who got the short straw? LOL. But, Sue let Dawn have her potato and she had a sweet potato instead. We sure had some laughs!

Good (very early) morning. I was awake at 4 AM ... ready for breakfast, cuddles with Beez and AncientAliens! Then, I went back to bed ... and had TWO nightmares. LOL ... I wonder if it was the Chili Rellenos for early morning breakfast?

Today was all about getting our chores done that we didn't do yesterday. The piper had to be paid. Our first stop was to order our iPhone 7's at Verizon. I chose the rose gold (larger) iPhone while Mark went with a matte black regular sized one. We won't get them for 2 to 3 weeks, but our orders are in. 

After a few more shopping stops, we decided on lunch at Perkins in Mount Dora. The food was good but took quite awhile coming. I ordered the Cobb salad; delicious; Mark had grilled chicken breast with green beans and a garden salad. A fellow patron sat near us and had the most hilarious accent. We couldn't stop giggling listening to the loudmouth hillbilly talk to his friends. Just when we thought we'd heard everything, he let out a loud belch. LOL. The couple that was sitting with him were very quiet and seemed embarrassed. The oversized buffoon told them how it was all his wife's fault they were now divorced. (A couple of times, Mark and I were outright laughing!) "Win y'all axes-sez someone a quesschein, they otter anser!"

Walmart was crowded but not with the gigantic aisle blockers. Well, except for one huge young woman with 6 young kids hanging off her motorized scooter in the frozen food aisle. And another (abandoned) scooter was parked in front of the ice cream. Haha. I guess it was just a regular shopping trip. 

Back home, we just got unloaded and things put away when a great thunderstorm began. It was the first rain we've had in five days. Nice. No need to run the sprinklers. 

Sue and Wayne had a long travel day and stopped in Perry, Georgia for the night. 

Bonnie and Roger had a real estate open house today which meant plenty of fun for the doggies. 

Sweet Mr. Percy with his daddy Roger strolled behind the Scotties. 

I'm betting Bonnie is at the control of these sweeties. All's well unless a squirrel happens by! LOL

The evening disappeared with sorting out photos in iCloud.  Eventually, I uploaded my phone contents onto Shutterfly and deleted 99% of the photos on the phone. It's crazy how packed up these devices get! Anyway it's now nearly midnight so I better get today's posted. Tata till tomorrow.
