Happy birthday to meeee πŸ₯³πŸŽ‚πŸ₯‚πŸŽΆ

Probably singing happy birthday to meeee πŸ˜‚

Mark planned and cooked everything!

It was all perfect!

Well, here’s the real story of the day. Sue and Wayne have gone to South Florida and ended up at Applebee’s for dinner. After eating, they discovered they had no money, actually, Sue had two dollars! When they told the waiter, they had to run home to get money, Sue said you should have seen his eyes!!! Then, the waiter called his manager over, and his manager had the same wide-eyed expression. So away the Ks went to get some money! When Mark heard the story, he said we are no longer called “the Pikersons!”  πŸ€£  Wayne was just arriving back home from the return trip and Sue hopes he left a very big tip for the waiter! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Good evening! It’s a fine day in Central Florida with sunshine and the mid-70’s. Ahhh, life in paradise.

Handsome Robbie 🐾πŸ₯°

There was a horrible car/truck crash at oir entrance tonight. Hate to think of those involved and those left waiting and wondering. There needs to be a traffic light at that intersection! Last year two neighbors were killed there!

Bowling was fun! I’m feeling like my new ball is working well for me. All 3 games were over my average with my best tied with Mark at 157! We only won the 1st game … the “Turkeys” team was on fire this afternoon! Oh well … next week.

Well we’re off to the big A for dinner with RanDawn and hopefully Nancy! She’s stuck on the phone with her travel agent.

What fun! RanDawn arrived with a πŸ₯³ birthday present for me! Cool … and I love it! It’s a black glass knot! πŸ₯° And, some fragrant lotion! Thank you. Nancy arrived just as we got sitting down at the table. We all had burgers except for Mark who enjoyed chicken and shrimp. It was all delicious with good service! We had fun. Thanks RanDawn for the dinner treat! You guys are over the top ❤️

That was our day!

Sue and Wayne are meeting Diane and Kris for their burger night at 7 o’clock.

Sunday, February 5, 2023

Good afternoon! It’s cloudy with a possibility of showers later today! (Sue had planned a steak bbq at Tony and Aurelia’s … so we’ve switched to easier fare we can enjoy inside.) The K’s shizzles are coming too … so the Scotties will be home guarding their estate. πŸ˜‚

Our Oklahoma pals Bonnie and Roger have a cruise planned! Wow! That’s not easy considering their veritable private zoo. πŸ˜‚ Somehow they’ve found a way! The cruise from Texas goes to Jamaica (other ports too) which Roger has always wanted to see.

We arrived at 4 o’clock to Aurelia and Tony’s RV at Southern Palms. The party was already underway with three dogs and four people! We started with cocktails and a cream cheese with pepper sauce and crackers. It was lots of fun, and a nice evening to be sitting outside. One of the dogs managed to knock a table over and Sue’s wine went over too. 😳 Other than that, all the wine went where it was needed to be. Ha ha ha.  We had a supper of chicken strips, potato salad, cucumber, salad, and strawberry rhubarb pie. We had so much fun, we thought Tony and Aurelia would be thrown out of their RV site! So, we called Randy and Dawn to tell them they were headed over to plug-in.  πŸ˜‚ Sue managed to make it down the stairs with Mimi dog in her hand before she fell backwards and sat on the bottom step. OMG, too many laughs. Tony’s expensive wine got mixed with Sue’s Chardonnay. 😜 Overall, it was a fun evening.

What da heck is goin’ on? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Saturday, February 4, 2023

Good evening y’all. It’s been a recuperation type of day. We had a super busy week so today I read … The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth. (It’s a good book … non fiction.)

Mark grocery shopped, napped and cooked dinner. That’s relaxing alright. πŸ˜‚

Pam and her son Bob are cleaning out her house and prepping it for sale! Could it be that Pam will leave Minneapolis? It’s been a cold winter this year … but then most are in that part of the country. Did you see where it is -108 Fahrenheit? Holy ice balls Batman!

It’s at the Mount Washington observatory atop a mountain in New Hampshire! Now we’ve been through New Hampshire, RVing, but don’t remember seeing any mountains. πŸ˜‚

This afternoon we took the kids for a nice golf cart ride and stopped and chatted with a few neighbors. I was glad to have my jacket on even though it is in the 60s today tomorrow, we are having a picnic, we hope, at Aurelia & Tony’s rig.

After dinner, we took the dogs in the golf cart and went to visit KimBob for a couple of hours. We tried to not make Bob laugh as it would hurt his ribs, but apparently we are just too funny! He said it was worth it. Bob is doing quite well at 3 weeks healing ❤️‍🩹 … 7-9 weeks to go! Six broken ribs and the rest fractured on the same side. πŸ₯Ή They have plans to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in Charleston! RanDawn will give suggestions where and what to see!

That’s it for tonight.

Friday, February 3, 2023

Good morning. It’s a cloudy start to our day with rain forecast. This is a cold front moving in across the peninsula.

Last night, we met LaDonna and Wayne at Lake Eustis waterfront Grill for dinner. It was fun, and then they came back here for a bonfire. We sat outside until 11 o’clock, and enjoyed the bright moon and seeing Orion clearly.

Today is league bowling at 1:30. Otherwise, we have no plans and plan to keep it that way tonight. Ha ha. We are actually both worn out from having had such a busy week. And, at some point today, we have to pick up the Mounty from the shop.

Well that was fun! We picked up the Mounty and Mark is very pleased with the work done. Then we went bowling! The first game we tied, twice! Then we lost the next two by a small number. Drat. MY bowling was pathetic today! I couldn’t get a spare with either ball. πŸŽ³πŸ˜‚ Both balls hooked! Mark had two good games … Lynn had problems too. Her fiancΓ©e Steve had a pretty good day. There’s always next week.

Back home it was pizza night and relaxing.

Heeheehee

Good afternoon! We’re just home from picking up my redrilled bowling ball … then to Lakeside to test it. Yeah! It’s good … can’t hardly wait for league tomorrow.

Mark’s Mounty is still at the shop … no hurry.

Sue & Wayne said bye bye to the family yesterday … so today is getting back to normal. Apparently they’re going to have a new pool center within walking distance to them! (Ha! They only swam in their own pool when in Pompano once or twice. πŸ˜‚)

Tonight, we’re going to dinner with Wayno & Ladonna … then cigars and a fire out back.

Super spot … Bailey is a great waitress … food hot and delicious! Super night. (Trying to duck out of the picture.) πŸ˜‚

Outdoor patio area too!

πŸ₯³ It’s BIRTHDAY MONTH πŸŽ‚πŸ₯‚πŸŽΆ  for meee!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday got away on us and we had surprise visitors! RanDawn came over at 4:30 after having lunch in Clermont with Dan & Mary.

Randy’s doing very well with recovery from his hip replacement surgery January 19th. Dawn has been the driver and nurse. Good job Dawn! The incision is huge but healing nicely. We had a fun visit! πŸ₯°

Sue and Wayne had grandson Cody for the day while Ron, Penny & Gavin had a 2nd day at Seaworld! Cody is too small for most of the rides … bet he loved the golf cart adventures at The Villages!

Yesterday was runabout town for us! I followed Mark in the Mounty to his fav mechanics shop. The old beast is getting annual maintenance done … tuneup, serpentine belt, new ball joints, front brakes, transmission and gas leaks fixed. It’s going to be $1100 … and another year for taking the guys to the forest!

Our friend Lynn called with an emergency electrical problem. She was moving furniture around and caught the floor outlet, yanking it out from the wires! We headed to her house and Mark was superman, again.

Then we had a few donations for the humane society store … where Mark found a couple of things he needed. Ha! Next was the post office with eBay packages. Busy busy.

Mike at the AMF bowling shop looked at my Hammer pearl (spare) ball which needed proper drilling. (It was drilled poorly at Lakeside Lanes pro shop … way too big for my piano fingers.) Thursday it’ll be ready with fingertip grip, the same layout as my Black Widow Legend! Sweet 🎳πŸ₯°!!! The finger holes will be filled and redrilled … the thumbhole must be totally plugged and drilled about an inch lower! Happy birthday to me! $68.

πŸ₯³πŸŽ³πŸŽ‚πŸ₯‚πŸŽΆ

So, all that said, I’m making breakfast today as Mark’s gone for bloodwork … just the semi-annual doctor checkup. (Hope they find a vein easily!) Nope! No vein. πŸ₯Ή

Early afternoon, we decided on a boat ride. It was absolutely beautiful out.
