SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2021

Happy Birthday to meeee πŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸŽ‚πŸŽΆ and Super Bowl 55 🏈

Mark discovered a Biltmore House chocolate torte for my cake! Delicious πŸ˜‹ ... very light texture! Tonight it’s a porterhouse steak and a baked potato which I know will be cooked perfectly by my sweetie! ❤️

Birthday dinner ... a big ol’ porterhouse!

Kick off to Super Bowl 55 later today ... it’s just us two today as the ding dang dong 🦠 dictates. We sure hope to get a vaccine soon. 🀞

Congratulations Tampa Bay Buccaneers 🏴‍☠️ SuperBowl 55 champions! Schweeet. Markymark and Lani came over at halftime with birthday presents for me. They had made homemade turtles, delicious, a bottle of wine and an antique Christmas candle. It’s really cool ... in the original box!

Well folks, it’s been a wonderful birthday but I must go as there is a little bit of champagne left to consume. Ha ha. πŸ€ͺ Happee birfday ti meee. πŸ˜‚

Saturday, February 6, 2021

Good evening. It’s 1030 and I am just getting a start on today’s blog. Wayne and LaDonna just left, having brought over dinner from the Olive Garden to celebrate my birthday with us. Mark bought a cake from WinnDixie that was imported from Biltmore house. It was a fantastic chocolate torte ... very light! Afterward ...

We sat on the front porch with the propane fire going, rain coming down and had cigar time. It was a delightful evening.

That’s it ... tomorrow, my official birthday πŸ₯³ and Super Bowl! Ta ta til then.

Friday, February 5, 2021

Good afternoon. What is there to say today. Well, happy Friday. We were listening to the news last night and in the United States of America, it is expected we will feel the wrath of the January 6 coup attempt on Congress for 10, 15 perhaps even 20 years hence. You see, the hate groups have been given a voice, and a platform. Homegrown terrorism is here for the foreseeable future. Be careful, beware, and if you see something, say something. Remember the Oklahoma City bombing was a homegrown terrorist.

So, as promised, here are the pictures of my art, finished yesterday.

Think British Colonial ...

Flanking the fireplace.

Tonight, Mark whipped up a salad and pizza for our supper. It wasn’t our usual Pep’s brand ... instead the Red Baron. That was basically cardboard with tomato sauce. πŸ™„ We both took a pepcid afterwards.

Rain is moving in tonight so we walked the kids right after dinner ... and before the news. (Heard there was a security breach where Airforce 1 is situated!) Heads will roll. Vigilance is necessary!

I did a quick sketch last night while watching Telly ...

She needed a few fixes ... and is now on watercolor paper ready for paint, maybe tomorrow. 😜

Ta ta til tomorrow.

Thursday, February 4, 2021

Good morning. Why am I up so early? No idea, but I just couldn’t get comfortable last night. My cousin Carol in London sent me a picture of the twin boys, at one month old. Now I see how closely they resemble one another. They are certainly miracle babies, having been born early ... under 4 pounds. During pregnancy, both mom and dad had COVID-19. Yes, they are both miracles.

It’s chilly enough we put coats on the Scotties for their morning walk. I planned to take a picture of them when the came back ... alas, Robbie accidentally peed on his πŸ™„ at the mailbox. πŸ˜‚ So ... the coats are in the washer.

Mark started trimming the camphor tree by the shed ... we’re out of free firewood. πŸ˜‚  There are a couple of big branches that really do need trimming.

Me? I painted a cool picture for the fireplace wall. The frames arrived today ... I’ll post a pic once it’s hanging.

Randy and Dawn came over today with an arm load of birthday presents for me! We had many laughs sitting outside in the sunshine with Dawn telling us her latest stories. πŸ˜‚

Good morning sunshine 🌞 ... it’s a 39F start to our day! Brrr πŸ₯Ά ... Mark donned his LLBean parka while the Scotties wore their sheepskin jackets. Me? Cozy and 72F inside ... our new A/C and heat system is awesome. The house is so comfortable now.

True. I ‘dressed up’ for a dental appointment last week and the new doctor appointment last Monday. πŸ˜‚

I pulled the living room apart today, early spring cleaning? Not really, but I did move a few things around and vacuumed everything in sight. Since I want paintings either side of the fireplace TV I’ll have to paint some. πŸ˜…

This picture is now 90% complete ... it may get a few additions here ‘n there.  We’ll see.

British Colonial ... 🀷‍♀️

Mark took some old aluminum to the scrapyard today ... $33  ... not much, but a good deed done. This evening we sat in our back yard for happy hour. It was very nice in the sun! Tonight’s going to be cold! We walked right after dinner then came in for a nice fire.

Sue and Wayne waited in line about four hours today in Miami for their first COVID-19 vaccines. They said it was the longest line of cars snaking around traffic cones. But, they got it!!!

That was it for today.

Tuesday, February 2, 2021

Good afternoon. Mark was watching TV and Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we definitely have six more weeks of winter. Yay. Happy Groundhog Day.

It’s a chilly and windy day here. I phoned Sue and Wayne and they have it even windier in South Florida. They have landscapers there putting in new shrubbery today. While I was working on my art project for this week, Mark went to the store for a few things. It was too cold to do any work outside today with that crazy wind.

Abstract art portrait was this week’s challenge. That’s definitely something new for me. It may be finished, and it may be night. I’m not sure.

Tonight, we are picking up food at Stavros and going over to see LaDonna and Wayne. We know he is going stir crazy recovering from his shoulder surgery. The dogs are coming with us.

We had a nice evening with LaDonna and Wayne. The Stavros dinner was great, we sat around after had a drink of wine and listened to some music. We didn’t want to stay too late as Wayne is tired from his surgery. We were home about 9 o’clock. ❤️

Monday February 1st, 2021

It’s my BIRTHDAY MONTH πŸ₯‚πŸΎπŸ₯³ ... Happy Birthday to meeee 🎢 πŸŽ‚

Well, I started the day quite early watching my new art lesson video. It’s about five hours long total, but I got through it and now began sketching the face. It’s going to be an interesting one to do, using watercolor on canvas in an abstract style. Anyway, it’s a perfect day to be inside as we have already had our high temperature this morning and it’s getting colder and colder all day.

At 3 o’clock, Mark dropped me at our new doctor’s office. I was about 25 minutes early, turned in my paperwork and was sent outside to sit on the bench to wait for my appointment. Yikes, there’s a 25 mile an hour wind and it’s in the 40s. Good thing I put on a long sleeve shirt. Ha ha.

While waiting here, there is a gorgeous windchime, must be 4 feet long hanging in the rotunda area.

Schweeet. Anyway, the doctor was right on time, seemed very knowledgeable and went through my paperwork bit by bit. I told him my goal was to make it to 95 in good health, and he said I was in very good health and should have no problem attaining that. Yikes! I’ll be sleeping on the street by then. πŸ˜‚. I do have to reduce my triglycerides and lose 10 pounds. My next check up is early May. We shall see. Mark goes in on Friday to meet our new doctor. We’ll see what happens with him.

Since it’s a nice cool evening Mark built a beautiful fire, the dogs are sitting on a blanket on the sofa and we are watching antiques roadshow. We got into a new series called heartland that is filmed in Calgary. I think it started in 2007 but it is new to us on Netflix. It’s 15 seasons long so that should keep us going for a while.

Notice who gets the sofa! Robs ‘n Bee. πŸΎπŸ’•

That was our first day of February! Happy Birthday to moi. πŸ₯³
