Good afternoon sunshine! We’ve been puttering about today isolating from the world, again. COVID19 case numbers are ridiculous following the Thanksgiving gatherings.

Mark just read in the news that Melania is having a tennis pavilion built at the White House, very important during a pandemic. πŸ™„ Can’t we get them out of the White House and into the Big House faster?

VP Harris has a plan to unseat tweety bird ... read on, it’s brilliant.

Yesterday, I “finished” (more like gave up) my Kris Kringle painting.

I can’t even say it’s cute ... 😬

Tonight, we’re finally taking the kids to see Christmas lights! Yay!

My favorite was Mt. Dora’s boat marina display. Gorgeous. The Scotties stood with their front paws on the back of our headrests looking out. Just like wee kids. Anyway, it was a fun night, and we really enjoyed it. Tata till tomorrow.

Sunday, December 6, 2020

Good morning. I made a cup of coffee and tried to sit on the sofa but both ends were taken by Scottie dogs. πŸΎπŸ’• Robbie is back to ruling the roost ... obviously feeling MUCH BETTER than he has in a long while. (We quit feeding sweet potatoes when we put them both on a calorie restricted diet. Mark is thinking he may have had a sensitivity to sweet potatoes which created inflammation.)  it’s certainly a possibility. And the good thing is, they’re both feeling very good and vying for top dog. Apparently, I am nowhere near top dog as I am sitting in the middle of the sofa while they enjoy an armrest each 🀣

I’m enjoying these bits of trivia, and hope you are too.

Diane and Kris called today looking for advice on RV backup cameras. We don’t have one on our 5th wheel ... so they phoned Sue and Wayne. They’ve apparently bought a Dodge truck and 25’ tow behind RV.  Congratulations! (She’s sending a picture.)

Good morning. It is a bright beautiful sunshiny day, in the 70s with a nice breeze. Mark and Bob went hunting early this morning, and I slept through until 730 when the kids woke me up. Mz B decided it was time for her breakfast! Yeah, she rules our roost!

Ho ho ho ... Merry Christmas to some little redhead needing a few locks of virgin hair ... 14 inches gone in the mail to Locks of Love.

It’ll grow back in a few years.

Later today I plan on working on my Kris Kringle painting but for now, there are loads and loads of laundry to catch up with. For now, I’m sitting on the front porch with the dogs enjoying the weather.

Our friend Nancy came over tonight for happy hour. Or, as she calls it, happy hours! Mark put pizza on the pizzazz and that was our dinner after having had cheese, crackers and pickles. Oh yes, and plenty of wine. She is  lots of fun, and great conversation.

Mark lit a small fire for us tonight and we sat in the living room. It’s going to be chilly overnight, at least that’s the forecast.

Friday, December 4, 2020

Good afternoon. It’s kind of a dull overcast day here in Central Florida. It’s nice enough, at 72° but just dull. It’s not what we’ve come to expect of the sunshine State. Ha ha. We were a little slow starting this morning having not gone to bed until nearly 1. We had great fun last night, lots of laughs, social distancing and safety first. Everyone brought something to share ... we had pigs in a blanket, chocolate pretzels, homemade cookies, lemon muffins, and chocolate chip cookies. Oh yes, Pat brought a chocolate wine that was just delicious. Anyway, we had lots of conversation, plenty of laughs and a bit of teasing Markymark.

No Mark is working on painting the fence that goes around the air conditioner. It’s just a short courtesy fence that makes it look nicer. He’s painting it green, same shade as the house.

Me? I took one of my old canvases that I was not pleased with and began a portrait of Santa, actually, Kris Kringle. I hope he’s going to have a happier expression than he does at the moment. Ha ha Ha because right now there is no ho ho ho. 😬

Lynn made a major announcement last night having lost her husband in February after he fell off their roof. She is looking to buy a home in the Scottish Highlands development (about 10 minutes from here) where several of the widows have already moved. Lynn will be putting her pool home up for sale. I guess we’re not shocked ... she doesn’t use the boat and would have a community pool at the Scottish Highlands. She wants to be in an area that has more activities. Of course, we have a lot going on here usually, but not this year due to COVID19. 🀷‍♀️

Friday trivia ...

Well, when the race is over it’s over. We went on night maneuvers with the dogs and started cleaning up the hood ...

Bwahahahaha ... to the TRASH

Thursday, December 3, 2020

Good morning. Mark and Bob went hunting this morning, quite early. It must’ve been pretty darn chilly in the woods. I got up and turned up the heat to 72° and went back to bed. We are sure enjoying this new air conditioning and heating system. Our old system blasted hot air out the vents like a hairdryer. It was awful. This new system ... a gentle rise in temperature over a few minutes without drying the air too much! Love it. We’re much more comfortable!

KimBob asked me to make her some ‘reindeer feed’ labels for her grandchildren so I started on that little project this afternoon. Mark arrived home about noon having enjoyed his morning.

Handsome Robbie is ready for a new Bark Box for Christmas. πŸ₯°

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

Good morning. It’s a monumental day here at our house. The AC project is officially done. The new ductwork to the sunroom involved a closet modification, done by Mark. Everything is perfect. He did a fantastic job. The guestroom has had a tidy up and we can now say that job is finished.

It got pretty darn cold overnight, by Florida standards. We were in the 40s here in Central Florida. This is an odd thing that occurs in Florida, even though it was 12°F above freezing, there was frost on Lynn‘s roof across the street. We’ve seen it before, it must have something to do with our higher humidity and dew points. 🀷‍♀️

Yeah, Mark found a funny online. Love it! (We sent it to Markymark, too. I just cut his hair yesterday. LOL.)

And the next funny one that Mark found, I sent to Diane, as it surely does not apply to me. LOL.

Yeah, this is kinda true Santa ... and it’s why everyone needs a redheaded friend. πŸ˜‰

Across the pond, the newest Mrs. Tawns is dressed to the nines to take kitty Marble to the vet’s office.

You are fabulous Jordan!

Tomorrow is our Calla get together, here. Mark shopped today and bought a few snacks ... we’ll set up the Sunroom for social distancing in the morning.

After dinner, we took a walk down to Bob and Kim’s with the dogs. I made a special rhinestone Santa key for their new grandchild. It’s kind of cute, I’ll post a picture of it tomorrow. Afterward, we came home and poured wine, sat and on the front porch. Mark got the propane fire box going in the porchour fireplaces, and it quit. Probably ran out of propane. So, I went in and grabbed the glass funnel fireplace. That worked perfectly, For about five minutes. LOL. It seem nothing was going to work until Mark got a new propane canister. Then we enjoyed our wine, he smoked a cigar, and the dogs sat on our laps for an hour.

So that was our day. I hope you are staying safe, washing hands, and social distancing. ❤️

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Good morning. It is a bright beautiful sunshiny cold day here and Central Florida. It’s in the 40s, with a bit of a wind that goes right through you, according to Mark. Me?  I’m sitting on the sofa with a blanket and two dogs, plenty warm. Ha Ha. Mark and Wayno have gone to the Ocala Forest blazing new trails. Bob is still recovering from poison ivy and chose to stay home today. Me? Markymark is coming over at 10 o’clock for a haircut.

It’s officially December 1 and the start of Christmas here at our house. Thursday night, our little calla court gathering will also include Randy and Dawn and Nancy. It’s just a fun evening where we get together, social distance, have a few drinks and plenty of laughs. Rose and Jim will be away in Vero beach and miss all the fun. They have a timeshare there that they enjoy annually.

I saw this on Facebook today and had to laugh. Yes, we will soon be rid of these three!

Good riddance to bad rubbish as my Nan would say!

I thought this funny ... but now there’s TWO Marks who refuse to go for professional haircuts opting instead for my handiwork. 😬

It was a nice day. I ‘attempted’ collage art ... nothing to show for it yet. Mark trimmed the Scotties eyebrows and they remind me of mom trimming my bangs. Ha!
