Good morning. Well, we have certainly caught up with our rainfall deficit the last three days. Tropical storm Cristobal brought in a lot of moisture across the entire peninsula of Florida. It looks like we will have more showers today before we are out of this pattern. 

Today, Randy and Dawn are celebrating granddaughter Makenna’s birthday with a get together at their house. Unfortunately, at this time, we have to miss the party. As Randy said, there will be no social distancing with the kids there. I hope they have a wonderful time and we will miss seeing everybody.

Today, I painted, Mark puttered around the house and then we had Stavros for dinner. I ordered chicken marsala, and Mark had mushrooms on pasta with marinara sauce. It was all delightful. We sat on the front porch and Mark smoked a cigar well into the evening. A gorgeous day.

Good morning. We were up very early for some unknown reason. It’s a rainy morning with 2 inches of predicted during the day. It’s on and off showers, so not a complete washout. Mark had hoped to work on his concrete project, but that is not going to happen today.

Well ... Mz Bee has been a model patient putting up with her post-op paw pad. While Mark was outback for a few minutes I was watching her. I checked on her a half-dozen times ... she was napping. Then Mark came in and there was Bee with her sock off and licking her foot!!! Boy was she in trouble! 

As you can see, the stitches are still there but it looks as if she has licked the scab off. It is oozing, so I don’t know if she will get stitches out on Tuesday or not. Drat, it was coming along so well.

Good afternoon y’all. We’re just back from BeeZee’s vet appointment to remove her stitches. Dr. Wilson didn’t remove them ... keep just the bootie on and come back Tuesday afternoon! More healing is needed. So, we took the kids 💕🐾 cruising about on our errands! Finally the humane society store is open again and we dropped off several boxes of goodies. Mark found a few treasures there ... 😂

The weather radio was going off when we came home. With the tropical storm Cristobal churning in the Gulf flooding is possible along the west coast. We’ll be fine here; just keep the umbrella 🌂 nearby. 

At 4 o’clock, I got on Zoom with the YaYa girls for an hour. It’s a little difficult to talk as everyone talks at once but we did play a game and have some laughs, and some wine! Next week, I’m in charge of the game. Oh boy.

After a delicious dinner of stir fried shrimp and rice, we sat on the front porch for a few hours and enjoy the rain and wine. 🥰

Good morning misty sky! Our rainy season is here! (It’s been a dry spring so our area needs the rain ☔️ ... me too.)

Plans for today? None. 🤷‍♀️ Ha! Well we did putter around a little bit, and heard from Susan & Wayne that they arrived at their cottage about 1 o’clock today. I guess they were read the COVID-19 act and were told they must stay at their cottage for two week quarantine or risk $1 million fine and or three years in jail. I hope they have plenty of wine and cans of tuna to get them by! 😮

We talked to Randy & Dawn today and got caught up on their news. It is granddaughter Makenna’s birthday and they are celebrating it this weekend. 

After dinner of shrimp and french fries, we sat on the front porch and had a glass of wine. It’s such a beautiful evening with a bit of a breeze. Mark and enjoyed his cigar and we just relaxed. Tomorrow morning, Ms. B gets her stitches out. 😍

Good morning. Robbie, Belize and I are on the front porch watching the sunrise. It is a deep red this morning, just beautiful. An owl was hooting, quite a different tune than usual. It’s going to be a beautiful day.

Last night, we picked up Lani and Markymark and went to Stavros for dinner. The restaurant was set up properly with maximum spacing and the waitresses were wearing masks. Mark was in a celebratory mood and picked up the tab! Dinner was great. They came back after and we sat around the bar just telling funny stories and having a few laughs. We are so lucky to get great neighbors. They are diligently working on the house (across the street) with the windows nearly completed, 28 of them so far and estimates coming in to do the terrazzo floors. It won’t be long and they’ll be living there permanently. 

I finished a couple of paintings today, did laundry and tidied up around the house. Mark had a little shopping to do and then puttered around the backyard after that.

Sue and Wayne have made it in to Minnesota, near Canada’s border. They plan to cross tomorrow and get to the cottage. So far, they’ve had good roads and a good trip.

Randy & Dawn met with their friends Dan and Mary and barbecued at a park. That’s perfect social distancing. I bet it was fun to see them.

Tonight, we met at Lynn‘s house, with Kim, Bob, Rose, Jim, Pat, Ken, Markymark and Lani for drinks at 7 o’clock. Some of us had the good sense to go home early and some didn’t get home until 10 o’clock. Guess who? When we got home, it was such a nice evening we took the dogs for a ride on the Caddy around the neighborhood.

Good morning y’all. It’s a real breezy start to our day and in the 80s already at 10 o’clock. Mark and his friend Bob are off to the woods today to do a little hiking around the swamp. Meanwhile, I had dog food to cook, laundry to do and phone calls to make. Hey, we’re a team! 

Sue and Wayne are continuing their trip north with a little problem. They found diesel fuel at a good price, $1.98 a gallon. In 2008 it was 499 a gallon, so this is a real bargain. So far, staying in campgrounds has been OK for them. They should be crossing into Canada perhaps tomorrow.

Dawn is working today and we hope Randy is golfing. When we spoke to him last night he had a migraine headache that just wouldn’t quit.

Yesterday we took BeeZee’s bandage off, as directed by our vet. She had trouble walking on it afterward ... I think the stitches were catching in the booty. So, Mark rewrapped it and we have a call into the vet today. She gets the stitches out on Friday morning. We have yet to hear any lab results.

We just got the lab results ... non-cancerous histiocytoma! Yay. Dr. Wilson removed it with wide margins so it will never come back! 👍🏻  Yeah! What a relief! The funniest thing was Mark took her for a walk and on our driveway she ripped the boot and the Bandage off in about two seconds. (He had to bring her in and re-bandage it. She must’ve understood the good news.) Ha ha

Good morning! 😃 Mark was up early mixing more concrete for the walkway to the boathouse. What a great guy! 😍

We had a great day, at home, except for my dentist appointment at 12:20. Everything was fine and I have an appointment for impressions in seven weeks. 

We got BZ’s bandage off today but discovered that the stitches were poking into the booty she still has to wear. So Mark re-bandaged it so she can enjoy romping about until the stitches come out on Friday.

We talked to Randy & Dawn, Randy’s home suffering with a migraine headache and Dawn works tomorrow but is off on Wednesday. Maybe ... they can join us at Lynn’s pool on Wednesday?

It was a perfect night for sitting out on the front porch and drinking wine. Rick M phoned earlier in the evening and we talked about all the unrest in both our countries. 2020 has been a crazy year, so far.
