Good morning. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. Mark was awake very early and out to the stores before 7 o’clock. He had a list of things to get at Home Depot which opened at 7 AM and then off to Winn-Dixie for 8 o’clock. although we have lots of food still in stock, there was a list a mile long of things we had run out of. It’ll be a $300 shopping day for sure. Everyone should be wearing a mask at the stores now ... Mark is wearing our fishing/sun mask. Once he gets home, the disinfecting will begin. Anyway, we’re fine.

When we pass people on the street they ask are we bored yet? Our answer to that is ‘no, there’s tons of things to keep us entertained.’ I guess it helps to be a natural homebody, but if either of us is looking for something to do there’s plenty of things around here. 😜

Here’s my first ever desert art painting ... it was fun! 

Mark got home from the shopping and an hours worth of putting away and disinfecting took place. It’s become quite a chore, hasn’t it?

Hahaha ... we girls always laughed at mom and dad’s stories of walking to school… Then we had to walk to school in the snow. It sucked.  

Izzy and Hailey got their Easter candy today ...

We’ll plan a trip to visit when this virus is gone. 🥰

Rick M called this afternoon. He was tuning his grandson’s piano and took a break while their bird was chirping loudly. Haha. Birds like music. 😜 

LaDonna called for happy hour. Wayne was out looking for fabric for masks ... but wasn’t having luck. He went from JoAnne’s to Hobby Lobby to Walmart looking for a particular pattern. Meanwhile, LaDonna had to order a new sewing machine as her old one is tanking. (No good deed goes unpunished.) 🙄

Good afternoon y’all. It’s a cloudy one and a quick shower just passed over us. Between the daily chores I’ve been painting 🖼 today; such a relaxing pass time. 

Mark ran the work barge over to Bob’s and used his 4-wheel drive to pull it up the bank. The old pontoons were leaking and the timing was perfect for patching them up. They drained 3 gallons from one side and 5 from the opposite. Mark started patching the pinholes with JBWeld. 

Sue suggested we watch a PBS masterpiece called ‘world on fire.’ It was good if you’re looking for something to watch.

We had a long golf cart ride with the dogs then a happy hour on the front porch. Another neighbor is getting a new roof so it was a bit noisy. 

Tonight we watched a few Nurse Jackie episodes; a very good show.

Good afternoon. Well, I got up this morning and it was overcast. Mark was already outside trimming some palm trees when it started to drizzle. Actually, drizzle isn’t the right word. I made a coffee and sat on the front porch where I could hear an occasional drop hitting the tin roof. I was hopeful although the weather stations didn’t report any rain nor have any forecast. Well, it took two hours before the pavement even became wet as the raindrops were so scattered. You see, our atmosphere was so dry that the droplets were evaporating before they made it to the ground. Now five hours later we have a few little puddles around and everything is looking green and fresh! 

I talked to Sue today and her knee is filling with fluid again. Knees take a long time to heal properly. There’s no way to completely rest them when you have to keep them moving to heal properly. She’s had it needle aspirated twice, but within a week the fluid is back. Mark and I recommended a soak with Epson salt ... so we’ll see if that helps. anyway, other than that, they are both fine.

I think it’s news that can be shared now that Diane and Kris have sold GEORGIA BOYS FISH CAMP! They owned it for 20 years and made vast improvements in it. Congratulations to them both. Let’s hope it’s a time for doing some fun things with more R&R time. They actually do have an RV, so it could be some RV R&R. 

Tonight we had our Sunday treat picking up dinner at Stavros. Tonight was carbonara Mediterranean ... and yes, it was delicious. We actually have enough for another meal (or maybe two) for both of us. 

Robbie and Beezy are both OK. We’ve been taking them for golf cart rides and plenty of walks but today, with the rain, we’re locked down a little more than usual. They are eating well and getting lots of Lovings. 

Tonight is American Idol, and phone calls to aunt Jane plus Randy & Dawn. Tata for now.

Good evening. Hope y’all had a good day. We finished watching OZARK tonight ... awesome! The Season 3 Episode 10 was 😎 ... can’t wait for next season! We called Rick M right away ... he finished it a couple of days ago. 

LaDonna and I have been quarantine painting ... and she gave me a challenge ... 

That’s something different for me. 

And I gave LaDonna a nautical one ...

and she accepted the challenge. It’ll be an experience. We’re challenging each other to do something completely different.

That’s it, a short blog today as we are all locked down until the end of the month. Stay well, wash those hands and sanitize hard surfaces! 😍

Good afternoon sunshine! It’s a bright, beautiful day here. Since our boat was repaired yesterday Mark thought we should take it for a test run! OKAY!

We did a nice ride with the doggies on Lake Eustis and then into the Gator Hole for a bit. The lily pads are so pretty with perfect blooms! It was lovely. (No gators seen.)

Mz Bee sat on Mark’s lap the entire ride 🐾💕

Aurelia phoned earlier and we had a good chat. Things are pretty much the same in Canada dealing with the COVID 19 virus. They were getting snow today ... 8” forecast. Chessie wasn’t pleased! 

Wayne and LaDonna were out for a golf cart ride and called us on FaceTime. It was fun catching up. LaDonna’s doctor appointment yesterday was all online. Very cool she said! 

Mark found a necessity for Rick M’s next vacay in Mexico ...

After dinner, we went out back with the doggies and had a fire at the blue stones fire pit. Mark had CC and fireball and I had a Martini. It was a nice evening, no breeze and no bugs. The dogs were the first ones that wanted to go back inside. What the heck, they prefer inside to outside.

Good morning sunshine! We had a bit of rain overnight ... and our boat mechanic is scheduled for today. Yay! 

Mechanic Rob arrived around 1030 and Mark spent the next couple of hours cleaning and vacuuming it while Rob worked. It was quite the job to get to the voltage regulator. Now, we just have to take the boat for a ride and make sure all is well.

Sue is still laid up with an ice pack on her knee while Wayne does the household chores. He was at Publix first thing this morning but still couldn’t get everything they needed. The virus cases continue to climb in Florida and there is a cruise ship with 4 dead on board and many active cases of the coronavirus. It’s unclear at this point if the ship will be allowed into port Everglades. It’s horrible! Many of the passengers are Americans, Canadians and British. 

Our Florida governor has finally decided to put the entire state on a ‘stay at home order’ ... and it’s about time.  

Rick FaceTimed us today and we had a good chat. He and Ruth are working on their raised garden beds getting their vegetables started for the summer season. His leg is doing very well now ... 99% healed. Ruth actually came into the picture for a few minutes and we caught up on some of her news too. It sure looks like it’s going to be an ‘at home’ summer for everyone.

At 4:30 we had a social distance happy hour with Kim Bob, Pat & Ken, Marky-Mark and Lynn. Everyone brings their their own drinks and snacks and we all sit 6 feet apart at least. 

By this time, Pat and Ken had gone home to feed Sadie. 

We came home at 5:30 and had homemade turkey rice soup, took the dogs for a golf cart ride and then settled in to watch some TV. 

Randy & Dawn called and we caught up with their news. They’ve been enjoying sitting on the dock in the evenings in this beautiful weather. Dawn has been working in the pharmacy department now, and finally the plexiglass screens are being installed. This is a whole new way of doing business and it’s taking businesses forever to get into the new routines. Dawn needs the time towards her retirement plan.
