Wednesday, August 7, 2019

Good morning. It’s a cloudy start to our day. Can you believe the first week of August has passed? We’ve been busy getting back from our vacation and catching up with things around the house. Tonight, Randy & Dawn and the two granddaughters are coming for a visit and pizzas. Our Scotties will be happy to see them ... especially Robbie!

Yesterday, Robbie seem to be out of sorts and by late evening, he was panting and in distress. We tried our home remedies ... to no avail. At two in the morning, we rushed off to the emergency vet with him. The vet gave him a good checking over but couldn’t find anything out of the normal range. Since we had noticed him farting and wheeling around to check his butt, we reported that to the vet. He expressed his anal glands; one had gritty stuff first ... then the usual pasty, smelly stuff. ๐Ÿ˜… This morning, both dogs are tired from the middle of the night adventure and Robbie is still rather subdued, but not panting. The vet thought that by evening he would be back to normal.

Both doggies ate their dinner and are now watching for company.

We had a BLAST ... ate pizzas, mac ‘n cheese and apple pie! After, we played several rounds of L R C with pennies.

The girls’ mom had been trying to track down RanDawn’s location ... but Dawn’s phone was in the car. Eventually she texted me and this was our response. ๐Ÿคฃ Guess ya had to be there. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Tuesday, August 6, 2019

Good afternoon y’all. I think that’s thunder rolling in! We started our morning with sunshine though. Our yard man just finished ... so perfect timing for the lawn.

Mark got into removing his small garden today ... too much to do, he said. We have been RVing often, so I understand. But, the tomatoes were so good! Then, he threw out our cast iron chiminea! Before I could protest, the scrap man had it in the back of his old gray truck. ๐Ÿ™„ Hmm, he doesn’t usually cruise our street til Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, I’m making new valances and tier curtains for our RV dining windows. (The ones provided are brown and tan; just NOT our color favorite.) Hobby Lobby had 30% off their sewing and fabric department ... and I found exactly what I had in mind. ๐Ÿ˜ They’re cut out already and waiting on me to start sewing.

Tomorrow, Randy & Dawn are looking after Charlotte and Makenna. They are coming here for a visit and pizzas.

Monday, August 5, 2019

Good afternoon. Mark began his day with an eye doctor appointment. Unfortunately, that means more eyedrops, now three times a day! (Ca-Ching!) ๐Ÿ™„ He goes back for a recheck in two weeks!

I began my day baking a batch of 80 peanut butter cookies for Robbie and BeeZee, then 120 pumpkin apple & oat cookies. (They were dog approved!) ๐Ÿ˜œ

Speaking of dogs, it looks like Wayne has some company in the recliner at their cottage!

Shorty, Wayne and Julius ... a quiet moment! It’s been the August long weekend in Canada, and Penny, Ron, Kyle, Gavin and Cody are there. Over the weekend, they went to the antique boat parade in the Windsor craft.

A beautiful day for the ride to Kenora!

A goose escort service, I see. ๐Ÿ˜œ

We had time for happy hour on the front porch with the kids!

Sunday, August 4, 2019

Good morning y’all, it’s Sunday! The sun is shining, the news is grim with two mass shootings in 24 hours in these United States. It’s impossible to glaze over these events; what’s it all about? Is it based on type T personality ... thrill seekers ignored in life wanting 15 minutes of fame? Is media coverage of violent acts feeding the T personalities? Psychology has a lot to uncover to become predictive. Aggression must be toned down, starting at home and school. Anti-bullying is a good start. And let’s stop sensationalizing these acts of violence. Sad.

Today is Charlotte’s 6th Birthday celebration. We met RanDawn and family at MoJo’s ...

Charlotte’s 6th Birthday ❤️

Dawn with Charlotte, Brittany and Allan.

Brandon’s sporting a fresh hairstyle. ๐Ÿฅฐ

What’s Santa ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ doing on the table? ๐Ÿ˜‚

The birthday parade arrives with musical instruments!

And ... this was me after all the weekend fun was over!

Hahaha ... I couldn’t get up with BeeZee pinning my legs down! ๐Ÿ˜

Mark had TWO NAPS before brushing Mz Bee ... she loves her daddy time. ๐Ÿ˜˜

That’s it for today. We’re watching CMAFest on ABC.

Saturday, August 3, 2019

Good afternoon y’all. Our neighbors Jim & Candi invited us to a fun event. It’s the annual fundraiser for the Wekiva Springs NWTF. So, we’re going out for dinner and drinks, raffles and an auction. Nice! ๐Ÿฆƒ

Mark started cleaning Marky-Mark’s pool today. It’s been neglected while we traveled. ๐Ÿ’ฆ Me? Inside chores like laundry and such.

The banquet was very good, and entertaining. There were about 1000 people there plus the Secretary of Agriculture, Perdue.

We had a good time. There was something going on every minute, guns everywhere. And, that was nothing to do with the Secret Service. Ha ha ha.

That’s Mr. Purdue, in the pink shirt. The secret service was all around.

Ha ha ha, fortunately, we did not win this raffle basket with the mega flask.

We arrived home at 10, but the festivities were going to go on until about one in the morning.

Friday, August 2, 2019

Good morning ... it’s 730 on this cloudy start to our day. Mark is having a sleep in after scrubbing the rig yesterday! That was a BIG job.

We finished up and parked the rig. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Yay ... it’s in bed til September’s trip to St. Pete / Clearwater Beach with the VIP Club. We’re missing the St. Augustine campout, but we’ve been there a couple of times already.

Did I mention Da Mounty wouldn’t start when we got home from traveling? Well, $170 later ... a new battery. ๐Ÿ™„

We had a few things to get so we picked up dinner at Arby’s tonight, two Roast Beef French dip sandwiches. They were good.

Back home, I took the dogs for a ride on the golf cart while Mark installed the battery. Afterward, we drank wine on the front porch and came up with anniversary celebration ideas.

Thursday, August 1, 2019

Good morning sunshine! It’s a nice start to our day, weatherwise. The pile of mail from July wasn’t. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Mark was outside washing the rig when I got up at 7:30. Things are generally in a muddle about the house ... but I’ll get it together.

We had a nice surprise ... a video of Hailey opening her birthday present. ๐Ÿฅฐ

The bracelet looks great on her.

Karen arrived home to find her aloe plant in bloom!

 Cool eh?

Mark washed the entire rig today! Superman! I emptied and washed the bedding and towels and then restocked the rig for another trip in September.

That was our day! We’re worn out.
