Good morning! It’s a news-free start to our day! If you’re looking to drop TV news, this is the place. 😜 (Last night Mark did another TV scan and got NBC which we enjoyed. Dateline was on.) This morning, radio only. We’ll pick up a movie when we’re out shopping today for later on.

And so our sightseeing began! 🐾💕

About 2:30 we headed home for R & R and lunch! This campground is remote to Jamestown! Next trip will be to Williamsburg. 👍🏻

Since the golf cart rental place was closed at noon yesterday, we book our cart for tomorrow, Monday.

Good morning y’all. It’s a cloudy day for our drive to Gloucester Virginia. We’ll be there 11 days, plenty for sightseeing and fun. 

Happy Birthday to you dear Mark 🥂🍾🍰❤️ ... the champagne is in the fridge alongside the chocolate cake. It’ll be a PARTAY. 🎈

Mark had scads of well wishes for his fab birthday ... plus singing by RanDawn and from ShayRod.  Pam tried to FaceTime, but we’re in one of those zones with little cell reception. Actually, there’s NO TV here! So, the radio’s on a great rock station and we’re consuming happy beverages and playing rummy. There are golf carts galore around here so we’ll get one delivered Monday. It’s a BIG park with trails about, a swimming beach, a fishing pond and two pools. The kids went by on the water soaker wagon!

If you’re outside your rig, you’re fair game. We saw some campers soak the kids with a hose as they rode by. 😂 

This morning was our friend Art’s funeral service. RanDawn attended and said what a large turnout there was! That’s amazing for a person in their 90’s. I’ll phone Sharon tomorrow. Randy’s feeling pretty good after his fall through the dock. He was golfing this past week ...

Looking sharp Randy! RanDawn were shopping yesterday, for 9 hours and this is one of the shirts. Nice! Wowsa. Dawn’s mom’s ‘double 40’ birthday is being celebrated this month in Michigan so she needed a few things. But NINE hours? I would have found Mark at a bar waiting for me. 😜

Tomorrow, we’re taking the doggies and going cruising and sightseeing. We’ll post some pictures then!

Good morning y’all. After a great sleep, we’re off to Super Walmart for a few things we forgot to pack! Really! 🙄 Later we’ll cruise around with the Scotties and check out this region of NC. 

We saw a beautiful Mexican restaurant online and perhaps we’ll have dinner out tonight? 

Now that our new RV is familiar to us, we love it. There’s always a learning curve involved with new technology ... and we moved up 10 years between our Grand Junction (Thor) and our Brookstone (Forest River.) Ten years is a lot of technology. Shifting about necessities in cabinets has improved usability. So ... we now find our Brookstone very livable! 👍🏻 ❤️

Nice campground this Rvacation. We enjoyed walking the kids around the big lake. 

BeeZee and Robbie were quite interested in the Canada Geese. There’s 1 white goose in the group that stays about the campground being rehabilitated after an injury a year ago. (The owner is pro animals; very nice.) 

Mark wanted special cigars for his birthday. So, we took a ride to JR Cigars. We thought it would be a tiny little shop in a strip mall and were surprised to see this ...

Afterward, we spotted outback and decided on dinner there. The place was happening but we got a booth in the bar area.

Tomorrow is a travel day to Gloucester Virginia, along the Piankatank river to Chesapeake Bay. It’s our first visit there so we hope it’s nice.

Good morning sunshine! Happy 4th of July! Safety first... 🧨

We left Yemassee at 7:30 after a good night’s sleep. That Thousand Trails Campground was “okay.” We liked the tall trees and good shade. The CG needs more gravel on the roads and sites. In rain it would be very dirty! The pool was nice and management too! It was super bot (99) and the east side of the CG (we were in Site 64) lost power twice! Management came door to door asking that we use just 1 A/C and reduce power wherever possible.

Nice rest area at the welcome center. 

We arrived at RVacation in Selma about 12:30 and set up in a nice site. No shade this time, but a good, quiet site! 

Pretty lake with grassy area ... plus a big dog run! 

We had planned a pork chop barbecue, but it was 97° when we arrived. Now, it has cooled down but thunderstorms are in the area. So, the chops are on the stove top! They sure smell good! 

Dinner was great. Afterward, we walked the dogs in a very light rain and went down to the lake. Then, because it was so beautiful, we sat outside for two hours under the awning. The kids sat in their chairs and watched the birds! Robins! So now, we’re about to watch the fireworks. I hope your Fourth of July was fun. 🧨💥

Good morning sunshine! We took advantage of the overnight cooling (to 77F) and had our coffee on the patio among the tall trees. Robbie and BeeZee had their yogurt and banana frosty paws and watched the campground pets. Afterward, we all went walkabout before the extreme heat sets in! Yes, it’s hotter in South Carolina than at home in Florida. 🥵

Our plans today are lunch out ... and the pool at 5 o’clock. That’s it. Tomorrow we drive to northern North Carolina. 

So we took a drive to Beaufort to check out the town where Olivia had lived. It was 45 minutes from the campground. It’s hot ... we look a little flushed; 99F. 

Beaufort is very old, from the early 1700’s. BeeZee and Robbie were more interested in horse smells. This is beside the carriage horse cooling station. 


Amazingly many old structures are still standing after hundreds of years! The cemetery is civil war era.

Good morning. Well, it’s been an interesting start to our day. With Mark‘s upcoming birthday, Pam sent him a gift, arriving last Friday. I let her know (today) that it hadn’t arrived yet. Pam investigated and found out it had been delivered on Thursday, and left at our door.  OK, now here’s the funny part of the story.

Two weeks ago, our neighbor and friend Marky Mark asked Mark to order him a trail camera for security for his backyard. We get many packages for Marky Mark that are addressed to my Mark at our address. Marky Mark does this because he is not living full-time at the property yet. So, my Mark is very used to walking the packages over and putting them in Marky Mark’s house. 

So, when the birthday gift arrived last Thursday, it was addressed to Mark. I thought nothing of it as I knew a package was coming for my hubs or possibly addressed to me, the next day. Marky Mark arrived on Thursday for a few day’s visit and to work around his place. He was delighted to see that Mark had actually ordered the trail camera he wanted! But, in actuality, Mark thought that Marky Mark had ordered it for himself. 

When the story all unraveled, Marky Mark had already paid Mark cash for having ordered the trail camera for him. Now, my Mark has his birthday gift in hand but must return to Marky Mark the cash he paid him for it. Ha ha ha. OMG, what a crazy story. When Pam said I was to tell him ‘happy trails to you’ when it arrived, she had no idea that the trails would be him tracking it down. 🤣

NEWS FLASH ... Sue scored 41 in a full Game of Mexican dominoes against Wayne’s score of 386. We have a new champion score ... Sue at 41. 💥🎉🤩 Congratulations champ!
