Good morning. I guess I should have done a before and after picture. There was a solid door hanging in our RV hallway/bedroom. It opened into the bedroom and blocked the only window that the Scotty’s could easily see out of. Well, that couldn’t be. So, Mark remove the door and I ordered a pleated door that folds flat against the jamb. It will allow a seat at the window for the kids to enjoy. 99% of the time that door was open anyway, and we now have a pleated linen door for the odd time that we need it. Cool. 😎

At 8:30, Mark did his first good deed of the day. Our neighbors Sy and Kate had a new roof put on their boathouse. There was no way for the manufacturer to put the top trim on on the water side. Sy had phoned yesterday asked Mark if the fella could work off our pontoon boat. Done. ✅

Now at 10:30, the rig is parked in the driveway and Mark is installing the new door. Schweeet. I am waiting to do my part for when the air conditioner does its part. Ha ha. It’s muggy but breezy this morning. (Too warm for me ... I’m a melter!)

Sue and Wayne had their first dinner party at the lake last night at Donna and Dennis’s home. Since they didn’t send me a text that they were home until 130 in the morning, I’m guessing it was a fun time. 🍷 x ?

Randy, Dawn, Dan & Mary went to the Nashville Opry last night ... tonite they’re going to an outdoor concert starring Carrie Underwood then starting back to Florida tomorrow. Have a grand time! 😜

Thursday, June 6, 2019

Good morning. The fellows were here at 7 AM banging on the roof. But, they will be finished today by the look of it.

It’s the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Imagine what our parents experienced and went through during WW2! Communication was telegrams, letters and monthly newsreels at the local movie theatres. Times have changed immensely but our amazement at their bravery and valor has not. Thank you for your sacrifice. There was great coverage on TV this week. Here’s a heart-warming story from that time ...

Well, YaYa’s was a blast tonight. Cheri and Evie had a delicious dinner prepared ... creamed pork loin, baked baby potatoes, peas, beans, coconut cream pie and brownies! What acfeast!

That’s us tonight! 💋

Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Good morning! We were up and moved our RV across the street as Eustis Roofing is scheduled today! (Later today, but today!) ðŸĪļ‍♂️ Yippee.

How does your garden grow? Meow.

Today I finished the sewing projects and tidied my craft room! That was a big job and I enjoyed every minute ... but, it’s time to get on to some other crafts, like maybe make a few wreaths?

Our roofers arrived at 2 o’clock, walked around on the roof, laid out in the shade of the big sycamore tree and then went to lunch. Ha! I don’t suppose I would be any more ambitious at 90° in the sun ☀️😂. Of course rain is forecast today, lots of it. ðŸĪ·‍♀️

3:45 ...

The fellows worked until 5 o’clock. Mark and I picked up Rose & Jim and went to dinner at Mojos. We had a fun time, but it was kids night, and very noisy. Hey, we proved we can be noisy too. ðŸĪŠ No, it’s raining cats and dogs, and we hope the roof is secure. Ha ha.

Tomorrow, the roofers will be here very early. It’s Yaya’s tomorrow, and Mark has a follow-up doctor appointment. Tonight there’s a new show on called “In Between” on NBC. We hope to stay up long enough to watch it. 😜

Tuesday, June 4, 2019

Good evening! It’s been a day for my CT scan medical appointment. Although the appointment was 12:45, it muddled up the entire day. Nothing could be started in the morning and ... the imaging company messed up and made me wait an hour for the disc results. So, it was 3 o’clock before we arrived home. (No results til next week.)

RanDawn are in Memphis visiting all things Elvis before heading to Nashville.  They shared some pictures ...

Having a great time! ðŸĨ°

Nice!

Mark has found a couple of art shows on TV for me to enjoy! This “cord cutting” wasn’t as tough as we thought! I painted with Buck Paulson in the ‘90’s and found him doing his 19th year on PBS! Yay Buck! He painted with Bill Alexander ... a TV artist who got me interested in oil painting!

That’s Buck!

Jerry Yarnell also has a TV show ... I’m getting motivated again; but first need to finish my sewing projects. 😜

There are a few summertime birthdays coming up. I mailed Shay’s card, bought a couple things for Dawn, ordered a few things for Mark, bought gifts for Hailey and Charlotte’s birthdays. (If I don’t do it now, the birthdays will creep up on me!) Sue and Wayne did some shopping themselves ...

but Mum’s the word!😜 Somebody’s going to be over the moon! 🌝

At 7:30, we took the dogs for a ride around the neighborhood on the Caddy. Rain was threatening, but evaporated before it got to us. It’s a lovely evening.

Monday, June 3, 2019

Good afternoon all y’all.  It’s been a busy bee day here. Mark was looking for some exercise so cut the lawn across the street! That was a workout! His FitBit registered 10,000 steps when he was just half done. It looks great ... nice view from our front porch.

Oh yes he’s getting a workout.

I “needed” some fabric for a project and went to Joann Fabrics for some R & R. I was browsing about when Mark called to say there was a rainstorm coming. That very call likely saved $20. Ha! I came right home and began my jacket project. I’ve been revamping some old closet favorites and having fun.

RanDawn sent a couple of RVing pictures ...

driving through Atlanta ... perhaps around noonish. 😜

They made it to Tennessee by 5:20.

Tonight Mark and I played Phase 10 ... a new game for us. It was fun (I won.) ðŸĪŠ

Sunday, June 2, 2019

Good evening. It’s been an interesting day of a little of this and that. Mark had a few items to get at Home Depot and popped into Publix. Me? I had some sewing to do so worked on that. Later this afternoon when it started to cool down, we took the dogs for a ride on the Caddy and delivered the Yaya’s sign to Cheri’s house. She is hosting on Thursday night.

Sue and Wayne had a nice visit with Jim last night and sent me a few pictures of his beautiful boat house. As usual, we could live right in the boathouse. Ha ha.

Randy and Dawn are on their way now to Nashville with their friend Dan and his girlfriend Mary. When Pam read the blog that they were going, she called Mark and volunteered her daughter Christine as tour guide. Although Randy & Dawn did not want to impose, they would love some insight as to what to see and do in Nashville. ✅

So Mark is on the front porch enjoying a cigar and a beer, and we were just out there having our evening wine. It’s still about 80°, so little too warm for me.

That was our day. We made some arrangements for side trips in Maggie Valley with Pam and are looking forward to trip.

Saturday, June 1, 2019

Good morning. Mark was up early washing the truck and just finished as we got rain. Ha ha ha. We haven’t had rain in six weeks and suddenly his truck washing brought it on. Actually, we’re forecast to have a high of 91 today with thunderstorms. Will take it. I can’t wait to get some humidity back into our air.

It’s going to be an at home day as we had dinner out yesterday and a movie. That was a pretty big date night for us. The Scotties wouldn’t like us going out tonight‘s in a row anyway. I have more sewing to do and Mark has a couple of projects he wants to knock out.

It’s Dawn‘s birthday month. Their first trip of the month is to Nashville Tennessee with friends Dan and Mary in their motorhome! We hope they have a fantastic trip, with many stories to be had.

Sue and Wayne moved into their cottage today, with I’m sure, many stories to be had too. ðŸĪŠ

Mark and I went to Lew ‘n Lynn’s pool for a couple of hours today, We bobbedaround and listened to the thunderstorm nearby. We weren’t scared. Ha ha. It was lovely.
