Good morning! Tomorrow’s dessert is in the oven before my DSO! What’s going on here? Where’s all this energy coming from?

Karen is picking me up at 10:30 for shopping at Peddler’s Wagon and lunch afterward. Fun!

When Karen dropped me off at 4, she came in for coffee. We’d had a great day ... Peddler’s, Sally’s, Beall’s, Kohl’s and a fuel stop plus lunch at Tillie’s!

RanDawn phoned and we caught up on their goings on. We’re planning to meet up at the Hideaway on Sunday. Lorraine and Jeff head home Monday.

What do you think of radio stations banning a Christmas song because it offends in the me too movement? Here are the lyrics as written in 1944.

Thursday, December 6, 2018

Good morning. I got up full of vim and vigor, or as my dad would say, piss and vinegar, and got the house dusted and vacuumed by noon. Mark went to the post office, got the Christmas parcels posted and went grocery shopping. Apparently he has lots of energy today too as he is outside finishing the board-ramp for the RV. Yippee Ya-O

Now, I am taking my diet Sunkist orange break before hopping in the shower to get ready for tonight Yaya‘s Christmas party at Nancy’s.

We gals at YaYa’s plus Corrine. What a fun night!

Wednesday, December 5, 2018

Good morning. Imagine ... we were up and out early, both of us. Mark went to get planks to finish the ramp into the RV port for the new Brookstone while I went to Joann fabrics for some notions to finish the guest mattress pad and bedding. We will probably have it parked late this evening or tomorrow. Then, we need to find someone to pressure clean the driveway.

Three o’clock and it’s parked ... perfectly ... all the way to the end of the concrete pad! Good job Mark!

Whew ... 😜

The Redhead Express played at The White House right after they played for our VIP Campout! Cool eh?

Karen & Pete hire great entertainment for us!

Here’s my claim to fame ...

My two Mr. Handsomes ... ❤️πŸΎπŸ’•

We heard from both Pam and Donnie today. They will be here in February for a visit. But Yum Yum Yum, Pam is sending us some Omaha steaks for Christmas! Donnie, had forgotten the time that Pam is arriving. LOL

Randy phoned and as we were asking about Scott, he phoned Randy. So hopefully we will get an update on him shortly.

Sue and Wayne are going to the yacht club tonight for dancing with friends.

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Good evening. We spent the morning boating on Lake Eustis, and through the Dora canal and then back to Fish Camp for lunch. Randy, Dawn, Kerry, Angie, Lorraine and Jeff were on board. The weather was absolutely perfect, with a high of 72. The lunch was really good at Fishcamp and they all tried gator in the soup! Even Randy! 😱

Since Angie and Kerry were leaving for Winnipeg at 7:15, we got back to the dock by 1:20.

Jeff and Lorraine in back ... on the Dora Canal. Jeff loved taking pictures of, everything.

Dawn enjoyed a short nap before Randy busted her. πŸ’€

Kerry, Angie, Lorraine, Jeff, Dawn, Robbie, me, BeeZee and Randy.

Next picture ... BeeZee with me, Robbie with Mark.

This afternoon, Mark and I got back into our RV stuff ... guest bedding, checking lug nuts etc.

Monday, December 3, 2018

Good morning sunshine! Although I tidied the bar and kitchen before bedtime, I noted two (empty) beer boxes beside the kitchen fridge. What had me laughing was how they were opened! (Mark always says “it looks like a rat got into this ... !” whenever I open a package!

SOMEBODY was Jonesing for a beer! πŸ˜‚ Immediately I thought it was Kerry or Jeff ... hence “the Canadian” πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ way of opening a box! While I was chuckling, Mark walked into the kitchen and saw me taking the picture ... and fessed it was HE who ripped into it. 🍻

Well, it’s going to be a day of odds ‘n sods. Mark’s working on RV needs ... moving an electrical box, putting a 2” slant on the bed for us and laying down beefier planks for backing the rig into the RVPORT. (The concrete pad slopes for drainage ... and this slope translates into the RV leaning toward the support post as we back in.)

Me? Vacuuming the rig ... modifying (sewing) bedding for the guest bed, laundry and the like.

Prayers are going out for our friend Scott who is in hospital. Get well Scott ... we want to see you in Florida soon! ❤️

Kerry found unique art in Mount Dora ... a football helmet made fron bullet casings! 😎

We sat on the porch and enjoyed the Christmas lights and rain pouring down. Nice evening!

Lorraine Jeff Angie Dawn Randy Kerry Mark ... after delicious dinner of ribeye steaks, BBQ chicken, cheesy potatoes, broccoli, rice and apple pie. πŸ˜‹

Tomorrow, we’re going boating for lunch before Angie and Kerry leave for Winnipeg!

Sunday, December 2, 2018

Good morning y’all. It’s a beautiful morning. We met Karen and Pete for breakfast at the outdoor diner (best Western Omelettes) and then packed up for the ride home. What a fun time was had by all.

We arrived home about 130, tidied up and got ready for a visit by Randy, Dawn, Kerry, Angie, Lorraine and Jeff ... Randy’s brother and sister arrived for a visit! Cool. After happy hour, we are going for Mexican food in downtown Eustis.

Dinner at Del Sol Mexico in Eustis ... yum!

Tomorrow, we are going to Randy & Dawn‘s at 5:30 for dinner and to play the game “relative insanity.” There is a possibility of rain tomorrow, so we will take them all boating on Tuesday at 11 in the morning. It’s starting out to be a busy week already!  Ha.

Tis the season for fun! (That’s year-round in Florida it seems.)

Saturday, December 1, 2018

Good morning! We all slept in until 8:20 ... a bit slow moving after a partay night. 😜

Our selfie at the end of the show ... fun. Tonight’s entertainment is The Redhead Express ... I could fit right in. πŸ™„

At 10 o’clock, we took the dogs riding on the golf cart through some more trails along the waterways. It really is very nice. They sure enjoyed it and were very good ... even when we passed people on bicycles and folks with their dogs on carts.

Having fun with Dad ...

Robbie’s down low view ... he rides on the floor.

We stopped to watch the corn hole tournament, having  gotten up a little too late to participate. ☺️ Mark L. it’s very competitive, we’ve noticed, and was in the lead on this tournament. He won the shuffleboard yesterday. We did make it to the lunch at noon, but were even 20 minutes late getting there. Haha. Karen & Pete are busy today organizing Santa for the kids, pictures, and a hayride then Christmas Caroling. We’re relaxing and enjoying our new rig.

Great dinner and enjoyed the band ... The Redhead Express ... the Walker family from Alaska. Er, plus one Floridian with an elf on the shelf.

Hahaha ... nothing like a bottle of wine to bring out the color in one’s face! 😁

Having fun with our Wisconsin friends, Karen & George.
