Thursday, December 7, 2017

Well that was a good surprise! It’s a misty morning, rather drizzly. We covered the golf cart and went in for breakfast.

(It’s still a front door open kind of day! 😜

It’s YaYa’s at Nancy’s tonight! That’s always a blast with our Chinese auction.

OMG ... this was after the helium voice auditions 🤣

Doing helium and Mickey Mouse voices 😜

Really! WHO has helium stored at home? Nancy!!!

Florence with Alfie ...

The balloons represent those 3 who went home before we remembered to take pix ... lavender is Helen, pink is Linda and yellow is Suzanne. OMG too much fun; our sides were splitting!

Mark, Lew and Jim went to Crazy Gator’s for dinner. The Polar Express went by with 13 passenger cars, 16 cars in all; packed. What a fun experience. The guys were home by the time we girls all wanted to go to Dollar Tree for Xmas stuff. 😂

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

Ha ha! Note to self ... It’s a bad idea to give dogs a “new” kind of treat at bedtime! 🕠 Robbie raced into our bedroom and Mark got up to take him and BeeZee outside. ✅ Twenty minutes later, he came looking for us again! Poor guy. Eventually he just wanted to sleep on our bed!

After breakfast Mark and I went shopping for a plant pot for my new Caryola Giga ... Fishtail Palm.

That’ll do! This is a lightweight fiberglass pot. There were a few nice pottery ones we liked, but too heavy to move about.

Ho Ho Ho 🎄🎅🏼 that’s MY Christmas done. Thank you Marky. ❤️

RanDawn bought a new red Ford Explorer last night! WOWSA! Congratulations 🎈 No pix til Friday ...

We’re just back from the vet with Robbie. There was no way she could examine his teeth ... he was in panic mode. We had bloodwork ordered and if all’s well will take him for a full dental next Thursday. Meanwhile, more antibiotics! Poor guy. Back home we had a good walk then gave him dinner and his first pill.

Sue and Wayne are off to the CRYC for dancing tonight. ✅ Us? Home with the kids. 🐾💕

Good morning. Mark was up early to go hunting, alone. Lew had a Synvisc injection in his knee and is giving it time to settle before tramping through the woods. It’s probably a good idea!

Mark’s eerie aerie in the woods

On his drive home he saw bohunk moving ... a huge OLD flatscreen TV on the roof.

I had a slow start to the morning as I could not get to sleep last night. I went to bed at 11:30 got up at 12:30 went to bed at 1:30 got up at 2:30, you see a pattern here? Ha ha. I finally went to bed at 4:30 and slept until 730. I suspect there will be a nap involved today. OMG what’s up with that? Well, I had a crazy craving for a diet Sunkist orange soda before bed. I thought it would keep me awake so I didn’t have it. Finally at 4:30 in the morning I drank my darn soda and went back to bed. Ha ha, that’s all it took. 😴 💤

Anyway, it’s laundry day and then grocery shopping ... nothing strenuous ... nothing exciting. We bought lots of items toward Christmas Dinner’s cooking! Mark wanted to get a jump-start on it all. Ha ha. I apparently was not a big help as he’d have an arm load and I would be off looking elsewhere. 🎄

Randy and Dawn are back beating up sales people at the Ford dealerships. Ha ha. We know they will get a good deal!

Tonight, Mark cooked a pork loin on the smoker and it was delicious.

Good morning. It looks like a nice day coming up here in Central Florida. We’re taking Robbie and BeeZee for a boat ride and to lunch at Palm Gardens.

Sue sent a pic of her Christmas decorating ...

Beautiful eh! Their pal Les installed new door handsets around the entire house but cut his hand in the process. (He needed 4 stitches!)  There’s always a story.

Surprise surprise. Mark took me shopping for a new patio palm. I’ve been wanting a fishtail palm for the front porch. Wayback when I first moved to Florida I had one!

$129.99 of Carola Gigas aka Fishtail Palm! 😮 They had gorgeous pots at The Yard Stop but I wouldn’t let him spend $150 on the pot I liked. We’ll look around ... maybe a fiberglass pot would be more in the budget.

I ❤️ it ... and the little Scottie that Mark found for me. Ho Ho Ho his shopping is done!

We went to Palm Gardens for lunch with Robbie and BeeZee. It was cloudy and 77, perfect.

We cruised the Dead River after eating.

BeeZee liked the new table and chairs!

Robbie liked the waitress who fed him bacon!

We got home and crashed. Ha ha. What a great nap. Well we did go walking after dinner!

Randy and Dawn were SUV shopping all day and seem to have narrowed down to the Ford Explorer; no deal made yet. They were worn out and went straight home!

Sue and Wayne went to Bella Roma with Carol and Jack. (I love their penne ala vodka! 😋) Maybe they’ll take a picture!

Good morning y’all ... tonight’s the Super Moon ... get outside and enjoy it. (Or? Hang a moon?) 😂

🎄 Christmas wrapping and the like continued today. I made an extra for Kris (he doesn’t read the blog) with turquoise and shell. The shell are tiny bits so it took hours to make. 🎅🏼

Mark was busy doing dog haircuts and baths with vinegar rinses. We still see improvement with less itchy, calmer dogs. Wednesday we have a vet appointment...

Did you say VET? 😁 These Happy Scotties just finished their frozen banana yogurt treats! “Ruff ruff” ... a good happy hour.

Mark left a message for Randy thinking we’d go to Stavros after Dawn finished work, but no call. 😥 So, we’re having fish n chips at home instead.

😂 Mark was all set to shame me (or crown me?) “the condiment Queen 👑 “

Hahaha ... it’s all true except that I don’t recall ever using horseradish on fish and chips!

Super fuzzy moon 🌚. 🙄 Mark decided a toast to old buddy Frankie was in order ... and we had cognac he’d bought us years ago. Cheers to Frankie, gone 11 years on November 3rd.

Saturday, December 2, 2017

Hey it’s nearly 4 o’clock and we’re at Randy’s for a visit. Dawn is working today. 😥 Mark wanted to move our boat trailer and check the tires. When we got there, he couldn’t get the lock off, tried cutting
The cable, but that didn’t work. (Lost key?) So Mark went home to get the grinder. OMG, nothing ever goes as planned. Ha ha. Meanwhile, I worked on eBay listings while Randy showered and then iced his swollen knee. He’s been working on replacing dock planks ... and it looks good.

I listed a few things on eBay today and wrapped more Christmas gifts.

Mark began his day by going hunting with his buddy Lew. (Lew has had a sore knee and it was the first time he was able to go hunting all week.) Next week he starts a series of injections that will hopefully ease his knee pain. (Been there done that.)  They saw deer and a bear today ... Lew has pics to prove it. 😁

Tonight, Sue and Wayne are enjoying a gala at the CRYC  ... we’re having an at home Saturday night ... watching a Hallmark movie.

Tomorrow’s the big full moon ... the biggest this year. Pretty eh.

Friday, December 1, 2017

Good afternoon! It’s December 1st and it’s beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS 🎄 in FLORIDA.

I spent the morning wrapping gifts, having fun, while Mark trimmed the palm tree beside the RVport. It had been a year since it’s last big trim.

Nice job Mark! (3 trash cans full) It was very warm today ... we needed the air on for an hour about 3 o’clock.

Mark and I went for a few necessities at Walgreens and stopped into the humane society store on the way. They had some nice things on display ... and we made our weekly donation. (The store’s proceeds feed the animals at the shelter.)

The Scotties and I had our 20 minute golf cart ride around the neighborhood followed by happy hour on the front porch. Robbie licked his treat ... but

BeeZee carried her banana yogurt frozen treat to the rug. 😳 Either way they both enjoyed the cool treat. (I wonder if Robbie has a toothache? He used to eat cold things like Bee does.) Tomorrow I’ll make an appointment for dental X-rays. Robbie’s teeth look good but something is bothering him.

It’s TV time. Ta Ta.
