🎢Happy birthday to you, 🎢happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Wayne, happy birthday to you! πŸŽΆπŸŽ‰πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

It's a fine start to our day, sunny and 58F, forecast for 78F later. It's a work day here ... Mark is finishing up the one side of our seawall, then it's shopping for more wood! Me? Well I finished a wreath for our friend Pat's birthday; hope she likes it.

Mark worked a few hours on his seawall project ... 32' left to tackle. He tidied up tools today as I'm hosting YaYa's on Thursday.

Bonnie and Roger had good news today ... their Tulsa home is now under contract; closing April 7th. Fingers crossed that all goes through. They have a house in mind in Claremore. Congratulations!

Wayne's Birthday celebration was at Sage, a French restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Mark and I tried 3 times to sing 🎢 (in our melodious voices) but it seemed Wayne was avoiding us. πŸ˜‚ (Actually, Wayne phoned us when he got home. Mark and I sang and it got their dogs barking and howling.) 🎢🐾

This was quite funny to me when I read it on Facebook; then Mark saw it and posted to our page. Haha. Funny enough ... then Sue posted. Hilarious

Hahaha. On that note I'll end today's blab. πŸ˜‡

Monday, March 6, 2017

Good morning from sunny Central Florida. It's an absolutely gorgeous start to our day, so the front door is open! We love hearing chirping birds, and then of course, there's Rocky tap-tap-tapping at the window. 😁

Mark and Lew are going to Lowe's, Mark for more wood; Lew as his possee. Oh boy. There's trouble. πŸ™„

Me? I'm going to Mid-Florida Lakes sales office with questions. When we had Rod and Shay on the boat with us a week ago, a resident told us that her property was land owned. Online, it appears to be rental property. Confusing? Yes. So, it's off to the sales office for clarification.

(The sales office recommended I call their 1 agent, which I did. Said agent promptly returned my call and answered my questions, sort of.)  I was certain there were more properties available because we'd seen "For Sale" signs from the boat. I looked up Sun Belt listings and got MORE info than the on site agent shared. πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Are you a napper?

Thanks to Mark, I can now nap 60-90 minutes. Haha. Here's some 'sound' info on the science of πŸ’€.

It was primarily a retail therapy day ... Lowes, Pet Supermarket, Hobby Lobby and Winn Dixie. πŸ’°πŸ’°

Tonight, we had a fab T-bone steak dinner with salad and mushrooms. At 8 o'clock we were still sipping wine. Nice.

So, that was our day. Lots of bits 'n pieces.

Sunday, March 5, 2017

We're a bit sluggish this morning after a late night with Pat and Ken. Phase 10 was a little like Crazy Rummy which I played years ago. Pat was the big winner!

The Scotties happily laid on our bed and watched a History Channel show with us about the Dare stones. Robbie dominated the end of the bed while little BeeZee sprawled across the middle. Cute!

Speaking of winners (and Scotties) Bonnie's kids did very well in the Heart of America dog show.

Cabby (Bee's brother) and Chief  (14 months) won in their divisions. The middle ribbon is also Chief's ... Congratulations to Bonnie and to Roger, good Scottie parents. ❤

Since it's too windy for boating today, Mark has decided to work on his seawall project. That means, later in the week, we will go boating. I have projects at hand, and eBay listings.

One side done! Well, there's some fine tuning left, but it looks pretty good. πŸ‘πŸ» (Now for the other side of the boathouse slip.)

RanDawn came for a visit on the bike. It must have been a chilly ride with "the north wind" gusting, but they loved it.

Mz BeeZee loved uncle Randy snuggles ... and reached over to give Dawn a lick. Haha. Surprise! Oh yeah, speaking of surprises, I offered drinks and Dawn thought a beer sounded good. I came back from the Sunroom fridge with 3 blue beer cans, opened one and took it to Dawn. She looked very surprised ... I'd given her a PEPSI instead of a beer. We all laughed ... Randy said I'd cut her off before she'd even begun. (Mark sacrificed and made himself a rum and Pepsi, so Dawn got her beer after all.) 🍻 They left for the Hideaway at 3:30 with plans of an early night.

Mark made a big pot of chicken vegetable soup for our dinner! Nice. We relaxed tonight, too tired to do anything much. Ta Ta.

Saturday, March 4, 2017

Hey hey hey it's a brand-new (sunny) day! (I wanted to sleep in but the smell of sizzling  πŸ₯“ got me up!) After breakfast, I wrapped up Roddy's sunglasses and a package for Sue. Mark's picking up more seawall wood at Lowes so will stop by the post office. πŸ‘πŸ» Boom.

Although we puttered around a little bit today, it was a decidedly quiet afternoon. (I know that Rick wouldn't do a blog on a day like this.) 😜 speaking of Rick and Ruth, it sounds like they will be in Florida next winter looking around for a second nest. πŸ‘πŸ» Palm trees, warm breezes and boat rides ... what's not to love!

It was cute to watch the doggies playing today. There is no clear boss in their world. They each take turns playing with the food dispenser toy. Ms. B is quite aggressive with it where is Robbie is very gentle. So, she gets more food dispenser than he does. That poor guy is so hungry being on steroids. Robbie can certainly let me know it as he comes over and puts his paw on my hand and then licks his lips. You can't be more direct than that when you're a dog. "I'm hungry mom, please feed me!" πŸ’• 🐾

Tonight, we're invited to Pat & Ken's for dinner.

Mark with Zelda during cocktail hour.

And with Sadie, their English Springer.

After dinner, we played Phase 10. We had quite a few laughs, especially when Pat thought she'd won using a skip card. πŸ˜‚  Mark went home halfway through the evening to walk the doggies ... then we were home at 12. It was a great evening. We really enjoy those two.

Ta Ta til morn.

Friday, March 3, 2017

Good morning. The Scotties and I were surprised to find 51°F when we stepped outside at 6 o'clock. What a difference a day makes. There wasn't much traffic for our garage sale today. It seems, in this area, Thursday is THE day.

Mark worked on another 10' of the seawall project. It was a perfect day, nice and cool. A strange, concrete footer, created a problem with today's seawall area. There's always something!

I worked on a necklace for a Shih Tzu rescue benefit in April that Sue requested.

At 4:30, Randy and Dawn arrive for happy hour. We had a lot of laughs and sent a picture to Roddy.

Randy sported Panama Jack shades ... left behind by Mr B earlier this week. Haha. Lookin' good R-man.

We went to Crazy Gators for dinner. It was extra-busy with "First Friday" in Eustis. Unfortunately, service was so slow we never got a chance to walk around downtown. Dinner was good, mind you! And, we had lots of fun. On the way to our car, I had a huge cramp in the back of my leg. It was so awful that Mark went to get the car ... I just couldn't move ... my hands were squeezing my left thigh as tightly as I could. Yikes. It was bloody awful. πŸ™

At home, with Beez on my lap, I picked up my phone and knocked over a full glass of ice water. Grrr ... what's next? Hahha. I think it's bedtime!

Thursday, March 2, 2017

Good morning. Where is Mr. Sunshine? Yesterday was 84, today's forecast to be a high of 75 with possible rain showers. Nevermind, we were up early and off to the flea market for fruits and vegetables. Great bargains!

It's garage sale day in our neighborhood. Mark and I have been donating items and selling a few things online, so we are not participating this year. (Mark absolutely hates doing garage sales.) We stopped by Rose's to donate a lamp with proceeds to our community fund and to buy baked goods. (No, we're not snacking on cakes and cookies ... they're for YaYa's next week! πŸ˜‡

We see Bonnie, Roger and doggies are off on a weekend getaway. Mr. Percy was not taking any chances of being left behind. ❤

I suspect it's the Heart of America show ... and I bet there'll be a ribbon or two coming home with Cabby, Ella or Chief! Good luck. πŸ€

At home, starting the Blog with Bee and Robs!

"Ain't nothin' but a Scottie dog" 🎢

Sorry Elvis. 😜

Mark's tomatoes!

When Rod and Shay were here last weekend, there were flowers ... now tomatoes! WOWSA! When Roddy saw this pic today he texted Mark ... "I call BULLSHIT." πŸ˜‚

Rain arrived at 3:30 after all today's sales were closed up. It was a perfect shower; straight down and heavy. The redneck yacht club boat will need a bailing out! (That's Mark and Randy's work boat!)

I was working on a necklace set for STR's fundraiser when I ran out of beading wire. Since Mark was going for wood (seawall) I rode along and stopped at Jo-Ann Fabrics. However, I couldn't get back into the project. Maybe tomorrow.

Well, it's 4 o'clock and wine:30. Actually, Mark had a bloody Mary this afternoon! He was eyeing the cigars at the flea market today but when I saw they were five dollars apiece, I said he was being rather highfalutin for a retired guy! Wha-waaa. 😳

Sue and Wayne have had a busy day in Pompano ... Sue at the dog groomer and Wayne at a doctor follow up. (All's well.)

Randy spent his day planting (more) flowers and landscaping while Dawn was at work. We're planning to meet them for dinner out tomorrow.

That's it for tonight. The Scotties have their rawhides and we're into watching Bluebloods. Ta Ta. 😘

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Good morning. We have a summery day in store for us even though the calendar says winter! Orlando is forecast to be 88° today; us, 84. That's a hot one for March 1st.

Mark worked on his seawall project this morning while I did household chores and made a St. Patrick's wreath.

My wreath with removable shamrock centerpiece. Cool, eh.

Mark's project is coming along nicely. He got a 10' section done.

The color looks strange as he was shooting into the sun.

In other news, Wayne is still not feeling well. (Sue's going dancing with Carol and Jack as Wayne's not up to it yet.) Pneumonia takes time to recuperate from, I remember. Shih Tzu Rescue has a garage sale coming up soon so Sue's been busy with that too.

Dawn's working today and tomorrow while Randy handles the yard work. We'll make plans to see them on the weekend.

So that was our day in a nutshell.
