Good afternoon my friends and family. We TRIED to bowl with Nancy today but we were thwarted at all THREE bowling alleys! 😳

Nancy missed Friday’s practice and really wanted to go. Lakeside had a tournament; no lanes til 6:30 … AMF busy til 8:30 and the VIA mall lanes were loaded and noisy! Drat. 

It’s been wicked windy today with the last of the blog crossing Florida from the Gulf. Tomorrow will be gorgeous again!

We watched American Idol tonight, as we are big fans of Adam Lambert. I wish we could get tickets to see him in concert, but he is coming nowhere near Florida.

Good morning! While Mark grocery shopped I tended to our front porch plants and houseplants. We’re planning an indoor day with the final rain moving through later in the afternoon.

I checked in with Diane … she’s had three girlfriends visiting and who stayed in one of her rentals.  Then the newest property she bought has painters and flooring installers working. Kris is supervising nowadays. 🥰

It’s a perfect evening, cloudy, breezy and just perfect for front porch sitting with cigars and wine.

Good evening y’all. Today was more of the same ol’ same ol’! Chores … and clearing the way for the screen room installers! We have our SwimSpa delivery set! Now, we need our electrician to finish up the wiring. Mark has been working to tidy the area that had become an eyesore.

This afternoon we went to “Fun Bowl” with a few of the friends we have met from our Monday league. You can win prizes for picking up particular pins during the games. It was $12 for each of us and three dollars for prize tickets. Mark won a chance to pick up three pins on a spare to win $20. He did it. 🥳$$$ … and, during play, we won another four dollars in quarters. So, we board for free today. 😂

I had my SECOND 201 game! What the heck. 

After feeding and walking the dogs, Mark and I went to Stavros for dinner. This week is the Leesburg bike gathering and the restaurant was packed. The RV park adjacent was pretty full. It’s good to see the community busy after season has passed. I hope they have good weather for the event.

Remembering Mom on the anniversary of her birthday. ❤️

RanDawn just called to tell us about their Theresa Caputo event experience. It was in Daytona Beach. It was really interesting to hear. They made a full day trip and had a blast! 

First thing this morning Mark and I painted the RVport  house wall. There was plenty of cutting in around pipes. It looks good! We’re 80% ready for the SwimSpa.

Good afternoon. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. You know we sold the RV and our Dodge truck. Well, of course the insurance rates had to adjust. Just when you think you’re going to get money back the rates on your other two vehicles get jacked up. What the heck, so, I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with our insurance agent checking out other plans. I’m certainly glad we did as we got the Golf cart included for $70 a year and saved $700. It was time well spent.

Mark is off to the post office with a couple of eBay sales. And, Sue had been donated a dog ramp for helping little dogs or elderly dogs get up on the bed. Well I had a lot of people interested but the first one to get here got the deal. Now we had driven to meet Sue and Wayne to pick it up. And the buyers were from The Villages. Too funny.  

We had planned to bowl this afternoon, just practicing our spares pick up, but got tied up on the phone. Perhaps we will try going this evening. Another thunderstorm is forecast, although it is just perfectly blue sky and sunny right now.

This was sent to us today; so nice to see Pam’s caring nature benefit this worthy cause. 

We did bowl tonight, and Mark had his best game ever at 255

Good afternoon. We’ve had a busy enough day puttering about in the RV port. I painted the side door to the garage, both sides. Mark was tidying some of his found treasures. I see the garbage can is already full and overflowing and there’s no pick up until Friday. OMG, he had a lot of stuff saved.  😂

It looks like we are going to get some rain this afternoon. Hopefully it holds off until after dinner. we picked up Kim and Bob at 4:45 and went to the crazy gator in downtown Eustis. It was quiet when we got there, but soon filled up. The food was good, and the beers kept flowing. Ha ha. Afterward, KimBob came back for a drink on the front porch. It was such a nice evening, and we hadn’t spent time with them for at least a month. 

There was a big hail storm/thunderstorm around the area tonight. We got nothing but a light shower. Sue and Wayne reported lightning struck a home just down the street from them. And, they had hail.

Good evening! It was a day of fun with bourbon beer ‘n bowling! The team we played gave us a challenge … and we only won 1 of 3 games. We had a B L A S T 🎳. 

Nancy & Linda steadily improved with coffee and bourbon 🥃 while Mark and I worked the beer 🍻. (We all figured we should start ‘loosening up’ earlier than 1st game. 🤪

Tonight we had front porch sitting with the kids listening to the rainfall. It’s been so dry … the rain was lovely. 

Sue and Wayne went to Applebee’s for burger night and I’m betting Di and Kris went too!  Maybe next week we’ll go …  🍔 

American Idol is getting down to the top 12 tonight. Ta ta.

Good evening. We are relaxing now watching American Idol. Every season gets better and better contestants. Without it, would not see all this talent.

Earlier today, Mark switch the door from the garage to the RV port to a right hand open. He had bought another door but ended up just changing the other one. He’s quite amazing. We both puttered about all day working towards our goal of the Swim Spa on May 10. 

It’s such a beautiful evening that we took the dogs for a long golf cart ride. It was a little warm today at 84° but dropping down to 60s tonight.

There isn’t much else going on. Sue and Wayne went out for a turkey dinner tonight, having missed celebrating Easter.  Randy and Dawn have the grand daughters this weekend and have been quite busy.

Tomorrow is our summer league bowling. We haven’t bowled since Wednesday and are looking forward to it.

Good morning and happy Earth 🌍 Day! It’s a sultry start to our Saturday with rain forecast this evening. 

Today’s fun is our annual spring bbq at Nancy’s on the lake. We hope there’ll be a breeze! 

It was a fun afternoon with good weather! There was a slight breeze, just enough … not 1 bug! The BBQ was pulled pork, chicken thighs, salads and desserts. We sat with Nancy & Dick, Lee & Anita, and Tony. Lots of laughs! 

Back home, we fed and walked the Scotties.

Good afternoon! Both yesterday and today we had ‘no plan’ days! It’s been nice to tackle a few things that were on the back burner. 

Mark emptied the boathouse wood bits he’d been hoarding. 😂 NINE HUNDRED pounds of it! So this morning he took a trailer load to the dump. 

I did the paperwork that gets stacked up … the things that you have to wait for answers on. Now with that accomplished, we got the blood test results back for Robbie and BeeZee. Doc said Robbie’s results look all good except for the routinely high ALP. They came down from 2688 to 2080 with the home cooking! 🐾👍🏻   BeeZee had some red blood cells in her urine so a recheck in 3 weeks is scheduled. 🐾🤞

Our friends in Canada had a freaky springtime snowstorm! This from Dennis at Lake of the Woods. 

Thank heavens my parents made the huge move to Florida in the ‘70’s or we’d all be up there shoveling! 🤣

Tonight we’re meeting the K’s for dinner!

Good morning. It’s a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. Mark has gone errand running. We are using rubber mats for the golf cart to park on in the garage to protect the carpet in there. Anyway, we need a third mat at the Home Depot. he has a new electrical outlet to return and then some grocery shopping. May? I have the paperwork and then plan to start painting some Tiki’s for the new area.   

Well … it’s bedtime so more tomorrow. 😂

Good morning peeps! It’s a tad cooler here in Central Florida at 69F. Mark was already outside readying the concrete for paint! I love his enthusiasm! 

Officially, well, in our minds, it’s going to be a Tiki Porch with SwimSpa. I have palm tree pods to paint tiki god faces on! Guess I’ll start soon! But today is bowling practice with new friends Dan and Mike plus our teammates Nancy & Linda.  

Pretty much ready! 

Tonight was dinner with our Friends Night Out group at Brick & Barrel in Eustis. It was good … and a nice time!

Good morning. Mark was up early to go hiking the woods with Wayno! It’s a lovely cool morning for them and I hope they enjoy themselves. 

After lunch, it was off to see Doc Wilson for semi-annual bloodwork on the Scotties. We’re watching the liver enzymes and thinking they’ll be lower with the “new” diet and supplements. 🤞 Friday we should have results. 

Waiting room action … there were dogs everywhere, but we sat behind the half wall. 🐾🥰

Our next stop, was to the home depot for some concrete paint. The next main job will be to paint the RV port floor. The dogs love riding in the cart and we’re very good. They were rewarded with milk bones by the cashier.

Back home, we checked in on Sue.  She’s still in pain after dental work last Friday. 🦷 Hoping she’s ❤️‍🩹 on the mend.

Good rainy morning from our slice of the pie. We were up and out early running errands and took Robs & Beez for a ride! It was just drizzly rain and 69F. 

Later, it’s bowling with our summer league fun time. Our newest member, Linda, is quite good. Maybe we’ll be winners today! 

The K’s are starting for home after the rainy week in south Florida! 

I saw this on Vintage Winnipeg … Randy’s cousin! 

It’s now 10 o’clock in the evening, and we’ve had a busy day. We won three games today at bowling! It was such a fun afternoon. 

Lynn suggested we all go to Kiku’s for dinner at 6 … so we were there with Lynn, Steve, Nancy, Linda, and Jerry.  It was delicious! I brought more than half home! 😜 

We watched American idol this evening with the kids. Now it’s time to get them apple before bedtime.

Good afternoon 😃. It’s a gorgeous day in paradise! Mark’s working on the RVPort conversion project while I handle the inside chores. 

Last Wednesday’s screening quote was pretty sky high at almost $10K and we were thinking it was something we’d have to tackle ourselves. 

Well, yesterday I left a message for another quote and today he and his son dropped by to measure things up. I’m glad I called, they were $2000 less and, he has gone home to see if he can work it out with a little lower price. also, they could do it in May. That sounds much much better to us. We shall see. 

BARKBOX arrived!!! Oh what fun! Two new toys in which we can hide treats. 

The kids had more fun! The toy within a toy is the best for them! We hide treats in the pockets and tuck the toys under the other ones. It’s all done secret nato crypto while they’re out for a walk with Mark. 😜 

We took a golf cart ride to Nancy’s well, Mark made sure that her grill fired up for the big Spring picnic next weekend. It’s a good thing. He checked it out because it needed some TLC. Ha ha.  

Yesterday while we were taking a break there was a crash as my 3 macrame plant hangers came smashing down!

As you see, the tension rod failed. 😟 What a mess. One plant couldn’t be saved. Now there’s paint to touchup, another little job. 

Fortunately the 3 pots missed my big elephant foot plant’s planter.  Whew. 

At dinner tonight Mark had venison and rice, I ate a Healthy Choice bowl, but the Scotties had turkey, lentils, sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, carrots, spinach and garlic. 

There’s enough in that batch for 20 meals! Of course it’s alternating with pork, chicken or beef batches. 🥰 

Tonight, the K’s are going to meet Amy & Raymond for dinner. We’re off for a ride on The Caddy and a visit to Nancy’s for a romp around her pool area. Mark is delivering propane for next week’s community spring bbq.  Last count there we 50 booked! 

That’s it for tonight. Idol is on an 8 o’clock, one of our favorite shows.

Good morning! It’s only partly sunny with a high of 88 forecast. Our friend Tony invited us for a turkey fry this afternoon! Maybe I will finally taste one! Mark went every Christmas season with his work brothers to CB Smith Park and fried turkeys. I always hoped he’d bring home a sample … still waiting. 😆

I’m thinking Tony & Aurelia arrive home to Winnipeg today from months of RV traveling. (It looks like a high of 39 F so spring has sprung in The Peg.)

Sue had dental surgery yesterday in south Florida. She’s feeling better today already. 

Tonight, we sold our Dodge Ram to a nice young couple with 3 boys. They have a 40’ 5th wheel to haul … it couldn’t have been any better a home for it.

Good evening! It’s been busy around here today. When I awoke at 7:10 Mark was thumping about in the attic pulling wires for the new electrical connections. Our electrician will hook it up with the correct boxes though. My handsome handyman can do anything! 🥰

There was a funeral for our neighbor Mike who passed away several weeks ago. Two days after his death, Alice, his wife of 63 years was rushed to hospital in need of 5 stents! It was good to see her surrounded by family and neighbors today. We’ll get her involved with the neighborhood get togethers soon. 

After we got home from the funeral RanDawn came back for coffee and a visit. Well WE had coffee but they drank water. Mark put out some cheese and crackers. We had a good visit. They were going to dinner with Dan & Mary tonight. 

Since it was now lunchtime, Robbie n BeeZee had their shredded carrots, chopped celery, blueberries and a schmear of peanut butter! 😂🐾 Then, Mark went back to wiring business while I ran the errands about town. 

Tomorrow is our sweet BeeZee’s 10th birthday! It wasn’t easy to find but Publix had Peanut Butter Pretzel doggie ice cream cups! Perfect!!! We have presents ready, sweet potato chips, chicken chips and cardboard boxes for fun. After that it’ll be a golf cart ride and ice cream on the front porch.

Good morning. We have a screening company coming this morning to give us an estimate on our RV port conversion. Mark is guessing $3000… I have no idea but think it could be more.  

Hmm I see the day got away on me! The rough estimate was about $14-16,000 so obviously Mark and I will do the job ourselves! Ridiculous for screening. 

We bowled with Dan and Mike, new friends from Mount Dora area. They’re in charge of the summer league. Both are lefties … and very good! Heaven knows how we became the champs. Yesterday we were the chumps. Hahaha. It happens. 🎳😂 

South Florida had a thunderstorm from hell that brought flash flooding to several areas including the Fort Lauderdale International Airport! It had/has 2 feet of water in the runways! People were swimming on the main roads to higher ground! In 1979 there was a similar weather system but the area wasn’t a built up ! 

We had a beautiful day in our area!

Good afternoon. Today was game day at Nancy’s house. It was so much fun, and a very large turnout. I played chasing marbles with Nancy, Mary, Trina, and Cheri.  The girls like the game so much that Cheri has her neighbor making several boards. The one we have was a gift through Wayne and LaDonna.

Mark has an eye doctor appointment at 3:40, but it’s now 5 o’clock and he’s still waiting to see the doctor. After a quick supper we walked the dogs then enjoyed the front porch with a Crown. Nancy walked by getting her steps in … Robbie and BeeZee spotted her and were so excited … and Nancy joined us for one. It was a nice night.

Good evening y’all. Finally we had some rain!Yay!!!

This afternoon, our summer league of bowling started. We played the second place team today, and two of their people were VACANT. We didn’t know it at the time, but being vacant means they get 140 points.  Anyway, we were unable to catch up the points but, there’s always next week.

Nancy had a rough day with her new ball … otherwise, we were okay. Linda will be a good team member with a bit more experience. We have a fun team!!!

Back home, Mark had made corned beef with carrots for our dinner. We walked the kids between rain drops then settled in to watch American Idol. Great show nowadays.

Today’s fun is lunch out! We had planned to meet Sue, and Wayne at Legends. But, being that we live in the Bible Belt area, it wasn’t open. When Sue phoned, we were passing LaPalma and saw cars in their parking lot. So, Easter lunch was Mexican food today.  It was great, and the service excellent. It was good to see them!

Good morning. What a great nights sleep, we both had. It’s unusual. Even Belize it was still in her bed this morning.  (Robbie always is in his bed when we get up.) after breakfast, Mark took his list and went to Lowe’s.

This is the day’s accomplishment for Mark!

Yeah well we measured out the site for the SwimSpa, Then self-leveling concrete was poured over the primed (blue) area. It was 1/2 to 3/4” off. 

My job was reorganizing the garage! It took hours … lots of stuff had wound up in there!

Good afternoon! It’s a day of catching up paperwork for me and one of prepping the RVPort for its metamorphosis. 

Mark washed half the port, more tomorrow. We have til May 10th … 34 days!

Our Dodge is officially listed for sale … and we already had a scammer. 😂 

Tonight was Yaya’s at Nancy S’s  house. I took our newest neighbor Kristine with me and she really had a good time. She fit right in, not shy in the least. What a fun night.

Good afternoon! We were up early and off to Clearwater Beach for an 11 o’clock meeting with Sheryl at Swim Spa! It was easy to find with a huge rubber duck roadside. 

There was a big traffic jam that slowed us down but we’d left in plenty of time. 

We found our salesperson and selected the options we wanted including fancier steps, a side bar and stools. 

We upgraded the steps from what’s shown here. 

It’s going to be set up at the far end of our RVport and will be screened in. Delivery is May 10th!

Hello from sunny Central Florida where it’s 92F this afternoon. 

Mark’s kept himself busy puttering about the house getting an electrical quote for the Swimspa and pressure washing the RVport area. I called our favorite screening company and left a message for Tom. He’s been out sick for a couple of weeks. 😟 

Mark installed the first of our new Sunroom ceiling fans. It’s cool … dimmable rim lighting! 

Love that it’s a ceiling hugger. 

Meanwhile, it’s detail day for our big Dodge. Walley is doing a bang up job on our truck! Soon the wax will go on … it’s going on 6:30 now.

Good morning. It is a bright beautiful sunshiny day here in Central Florida. Mark is off running errands and picking up some special cigars to share with Bob for his birthday. We are going to their home tonight for birthday cake. Meanwhile, today is the bowling banquet at 1 o’clock. Oakwood smokehouse is catering so it should be very good food. We are the number one team, and will try and get someone to get a picture of us all together in our bowling shirts. What fun. I still cannot believe that we won. 

Rosie’s Rollers … #1 for the 2022/23 24 week season. Little trophies 🏆, big bucks. What a fun time we had! We sat with the Florida Shrimpers and discovered one couple shows and breeds King Cavaliers. Fun! They’re off to NC for the summer so we won’t see them til fall. 

Tonight we had a 4 hour patio party with KimBob for his birthday! 🥳🎂 What a unique and delicious cake Kim bought at Publix. It was a combo of chocolate cake with a thick layer of cheesecake topped with brownies! Wow. Yummy! The guys smoked cigars … Bob’s first in 16 weeks. Happy birthday Bob 🥰.

Good evening! It’s been a relaxing day around here. The 4 of us went swimming at Nancy’s for a few hours. It was 84 in the pool and 88 out. Perfect afternoon! 

Tomorrow is the bowling banquet and maybe a picture! Maybe. 

We were boring folks today. 😂

Diane was waiting for Kris to arrive home from a weekend trip to see old friends in south Florida. She said she didn’t realize how much Kris does! 🐾😂

The K’s went to Bingo today for a children’s charity and found it’s not the old snoozy game. 😂 No winnings, just confusion. 😆 

Randy golfed with friends Ken & Ron while Dawn worked this Sunday. The guys have a tournament in a couple of weeks. ⛳️
