TaTa EZ-GO

​It’s Thursday, February 19, 2026 and we said Tata to our 1999 EZGO golf cart. 

Belize and Wyatt were in the side yard watching it get loaded up. I bet they were wondering what happened! 

Here’s the “new” Scottie mobile! It’s a gas-powered 2015 Yamaha 4 seater with rain shields and gadgets! By the look of it, it’s been garage kept. We know it was a “snowbird” cart as the hours are very low. 

We tested the canvas/eisenglass roll downs. They’re in excellent condition! 

Tomorrow, we will do a little polishing up before we take it on the streets! 

Life’s been good fun in our new ‘hood. There was a Valentine’s Day dance with desserts on site last Saturday, an art show with wine, beer and appetizers on Tuesday night!!! 

Last night was “Majority Rules” game night. It was total fun! 🤩 Tables of 10 … 19 in all vied for points by choosing the “correct answer by majority” with extra points for being the quickest to push the button on the deck. What a great time! 

Table 7 … We won 50 bucks! 🤩

Snacks were included … hot dogs, chips and cookies! (Don ate 3 of each 😂)

When we entered the Clubhouse our table number was 7 and I said “That’s my lucky number!” Of course there were  jokes and laughter BUT GUESS WHAT??? We were the big winners!

Saturday February 7th, 2026

​🎶Happy Birthday to meeee …and what a great birthday it’s been!

Yesterday, a package arrived from my friend Bonnie … a heartfelt card and sweet elephant sun catcher. It’s lovely! ❤️

Today, I had fun scratching off lotto tickets from Sue, Lynne & Carol  Nope … not a winner. 

Phone calls from Shay & Roddy, and Aurelia in Canada were fun! It’s so nice to be remembered on my birthday!

Mark gave me gorgeous orchid … very unusual color, isn’t it!

Then a new office chair arrived … perfect for my ‘mini’ art area now. This chair has a foldout foot rest and reclines! Very cool.

Yeah, assembly was required  😂 ( At Walmart I found a good desk lamp so maybe some artsy-fartsy time tomorrow?)

Tonight it was off to Longhorn’s for steaks! There was a huge crowd with an hour’s wait for a table for two  So … we sat at the bar and met a nice couple. When their table was ready they invited us to join them! We had an interesting time and a great dinner then exchanged contact info. 

Facebook postings of birthday wishes are so appreciated … my birthday twin Adam (England) celebrated with a snuggle from his son. 

I have very happy memories of celebrating together before Covid. 

I enjoyed wearing the coral ring tonight from Diane … it fits perfectly! 

Well … that’s it! A very nice start to the next round of fun! 

February- Birthday Month

​Good evening! It’s the 5th already! We’ve had a couple nice warm afternoons but generally it’s been a colder winter than normal.

The foundation at The Villages froze!!! We had an overnight low of 26°  🥶

Last Sunday, Nancy played Catan with Mark and me … we had salad and broccoli cheese soup for dinner. It was a fun afternoon. 

Lynne S. and Carol V. arrived Monday from a Caribbean cruise and joined us at Applebee’s.

I had forgotten the pink selfie stick that makes taking group photos easier. Anyway, this was the best I could do with my arm. 😂

Wednesday night, Mark and I hosted a pizza get together! 

It was a fun gathering!
