Good afternoon! We’ve had a fabulous day on the water! It was windy but not rough at all, and mostly sunny. It just doesn’t get any better than that!

We had lunch at the docks in Tavares on Lake Dora. Mark had packed Publix fried chicken, wings, potato salad and coleslaw. It tasted pretty good! The wind was a bit wild … just like one of Sue’s picnics. 😂

Lynne & Aurelia were true Friendly Manitobans and helped some new boaters dock. Well done. 🥰

Those folks were from New Jersey. 

Tonight was dinner at IchiBan … delicious, we hadn’t been in a long time. Tomorrow, Tony & Aurelia are off to Carrabelle Florida. It’s only 250 miles but will be slow roads. Happy trails.

Good afternoon! We had a great bowling day and won all 4 games! Yay us! (This puts us into 1st place … now we have to hold that for 4 weeks!) 🎳⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s a beautiful day … windy and 80F under sunny skies. We had planned to go to dinner with Tony & Aurelia this evening. But … the stair mechanic hasn’t shown up to work on their rig nor returned their phone call. Hmmm 🤨, that’s not a good sign. They need the repair done to travel on Wednesday!

Good afternoon y’all. We were at Nancy’s today having a swim with our Scotties. They’re so playful after a dip and the pool has a great runaround spot. (It felt cool getting into the water (80F) but nice! Nancy had the heat on set to 84. Nice. 

After we parked the rig in our RVport. It’s totally detailed inside and out. 

Otherwise, it was a regular household jobs kind of Sunday. Tomorrow’s a usual busy, fun Monday so tonight we’ll chill and watch American Idol. 

Even the sinks got polished!

Today, we picked up Tony and Aurelia and met Randy and Dawn at Ski Beach in Leesburg for lunch. It was busy, and we had to wait for a table. Once seated, we had good service and enjoyed the food. I took a picture of Tony and Aurelia on their camera.  It was Randy and Dawn‘s first time there too!

It was game day at Elaine’s and such fun. Mexican Dominoes and Chasing Marbles were the games of choice. Twelve players today … and lots of laughs. On the way out the door I got a thigh cramp that would not release. Geez I’d walk two steps and have to stop. (Must be from sitting too long on a shallow depth chair.) Mark thought from me going up and down the RV steps the past few days. 🤔 

This morning Mark and Wayno went scouting turkeys in the woods and saw two. Cool. 

At the K’s Lynne found a sunny spot to read.

It’s going on 8 o’clock now and we’ve had quite an interesting day. This morning, Mark had to pick up a test kit at quest. Nothing worked out well and two hours went by before he was headed home with the kit. We will chalk it up to doctors as well as restaurants are having trouble getting good staff. Geez, if only I needed a job nowadays.  Ha. I’d kill it. 😂

While I was working on the RV today, Mark was grocery shopping. Then, our technician Colby came by to replace the inverter and the awning motor. We are so lucky to have him. It saves us a big trip to giant to get the work done. Colby is so reliable, and reasonable.   

Just when we were finished with Colby, Nancy stopped by needing Mark to help her assemble some barstools. Well, that project took 10 minutes and we invited her in for wine. Then, Mark decided we should have a bottle of champagne to celebrate, something.  😂 Three hours later, many laughs and another bottle we parted ways. 

Geez, I heard this a time or two.

Today we think of Dad. He lived a full and good life despite growing up in the depression years, six years overseas in the war and raising a house full of girls. We all miss you Dad on what would be your birthday. ❤️

Today’s fun? Mark is washing the rig … I did the weekend’s laundry, dropped the corporation paperwork to our accountant and saw my favorite dentist for a new crown. 🦷  

Our big Amazon monthly delivery arrived and we had help unpacking it all …

Of course Robbie’s in the box!!! 🐾🥰

Good afternoon. It’s been a busy day around here getting things tidied up on the RV, watering plants and such. This afternoon was our weekly bowling league.

Well … Mark was our star ⭐️ bowler (again) … but  we struggled to win 1 game out of 3. 🤷‍♀️ Funny thing was the first place team that we beat last week snuck down to our end of the lanes to check our scores. 😂 (Apparently they only won 1 game today too!) 🤣 

After bowling we met Wayne & LaDonna for a quick dinner. 

Sue sent a picture of their front garden … 

the roses are beautiful a few weeks after pruning and fertilizing! Wow.

We’re home from a good weekend with our RV friends! 

Cousin Adam is modeling … says he looks like the mad hatter. 😂  

Cousin Miles is off to university in Melbourne.

I wonder what the professor is studying. At 18 he’s already lead-danced in the Christmas Nutcracker and won first prize with his artwork. 

Us? Laundry and emptying the RV after our trip. At the front door was a BarkBox … and the wee rascals won’t give up wanting to open it. 🐾😂 Tenacious beasties.

It’s Saturday night and we slipped out of the group fun at the clubhouse. Dinner tonight was BBQ chicken and ribs. Mark and I weren’t hungry having met Shay & Roddy for lunch. 

Sandhill Golf Club restaurant in Avon Park. We both drove half an hour to meet in the middle. We’ve been friends since the 1980’s in South Florida. When we meet up it like no time lost … so many laughs. It’s good to see them looking fabulous and fit. 🥰

Back at the RV resort, LaDonna & Wayno were checking in on the kids. All was well when we got back at 4 o’clock. 

FRIDAY …

It was pool time … nice large pool with waterfall and deck. 

This will be a great resort when the trees grow a bit!

Friday night at the tiki hut with LaDonna & Wayne … drinks were weak but company and the band were good. That night’s dinner at the clubhouse was pasta bar. We avoided the pasta being on low carb, and feasted on chicken, meatballs, and salad. There’s always beer and wine available!

Hanging out Friday morning with RV friends … drinking coffee and eating bacon. 

Bart cooked 6 lbs of bacon 🥓 for the fun morning gathering. 

Tomorrow, we get up and hopefully leave for home about 9:30 or 10 o’clock.

Good morning. It’s going to be another busy day between doctor appointments and loading the rig.

Izzy’s birthday present arrived and we think she likes it! Yay! Cute pic of the youngest granddaughter. 🥳🎂😍

It’s a beautiful afternoon. I talked to Sue and heard that Lynn is getting some sunshine by weeding their flowerbeds. Ha ha.  

Wayno stopped by with some frozen fish for Mark. (I’ll be enjoying lobster or shrimp. 😜) We’ll have a BBQ with he and LaDonna tomorrow night. 

It was front porch sitting for an hour this evening. Nice night. 

Sue and Wayne took Lynn on the golf cart down to the Square tonight

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️ 

Mark and I pre-bowled at 11 o’clock for our Friday league games. I was happy to be above my average on all 3 games. Mark had one rough game with 8 splits! 😳 We’ve not seen that before! 😂 Oh well … we did our part. I sent the scores to Lynn. She laughed when she saw I’d beaten Mark in the 2nd game. 😜

After bowling I picked up Lynne S. and away we went on the Caddy to Cheri’s game day. 

Elaine, Lynne, Cheri, Nancy, Deenna and Anita at the Chasing Marbles board. There was a group in the dining room playing Hand and Foot. It was a fun afternoon! 

Lynne and I were followed home by Tony and Aurelia in their new car. A few minutes later Lynne was away to the K’s with T & A.  

It was a nice evening so Mark and I sat on the front porch while he enjoyed a cigar. (We will celebrate the Valentine’s occasion another day!) 

Monday February 13, 2023

Another busy day here in Central Florida. Colby arrived at 9:30 to work on the RV slide covers. Meanwhile, the awning motor needs replacing … and the refrigerator inverter was fried. It’s just life in the fast lane. 

We bowled really well this afternoon and won all 3 games against the #1 team. Woohooo us. My average was 152 and Mark’s 192. 🎳 Amazing eh! We bowl again tomorrow for our Friday league. Here’s hoping we’re on target tomorrow too. 

While Mark and I were bowling Lynne got some sunshine time reading. Robbie & BeeZee kept her company. 

Tonight Lynne, Mark and I met up with Tony and Aurelia at Applebee’s for burger night. We had good service and good burgers … then Lynne surprised us by treating us all. 🥰. It was a nice time.

Good afternoon. Mark and I have been busy around the house. We got the RV pulled out of it’s port ready for our technician, Colby, to work on it tomorrow. He is replacing the slide covers which we have messed up at various times when parking it. Ha ha. Well, we only have about 3 inches either side to put it in a 45 foot long port. 😳 

It is really windy today and blowing the oak pollen everywhere!  A 20 mile an hour wind says Mark. We were thinking of Lynn as her plane lands in Sanford this afternoon.  It might be a bumpy landing.

Good morning. It looks like a rainy day coming up. Perfect for getting a Mani Pedi. So, Kim and I had (as Bob calls it) a spa day. 😂 We did have pedicures! Nice. 

O.P.I. polishes have the longest names. 😜

Later in the day Mark and I picked up some begonias to freshen the planters from our Home Depot. (There really wasn’t much excitement today.)  We sat on the porch and enjoyed the rain after dinner tonight. 

After racking our brains on Izzy’s 12th birthday gift we got a hint from Tiffany that she got a gaming PC at Christmas. So … 

We ordered this for our youngest gamer! It’s not easy when we’re not close to them all … hope Izzy thinks it’s cool. 

That was our chilling out day! Lynne S arrives tomorrow! 🥰 The Chardonnay is chilling. 😂

Good evening! There was misty rain on the windshield as we left Lynn’s YaYa’s get together at 8 o’clock. It was a nice time … 14 of us. Lynn had a nice dinner prepped for us … and we got to see Clyde and his new brother Jake and cat Bubba.  (Sweet fur kids!) 

Earlier today Aurelia and Tony came over for a little visit and to cut some wood for a project in their motorhome. They’d had a big lunch at Cracker Barrel and shopped at Home Depot. After the small wood working project we directed them to the humane society store nearby.

Tomorrow Mark and I will be sporting new team T-shirts from Steve’s daughter’s business. Pics tomorrow. 

Oklahoma friends Bonnie & Roger left Texas today on a cruise!
